So from the outside, it looks like the Bills guaranteed Davis’ $5 million contract when they kept him on the roster just to make him inactive. “If they weren’t going to play him, they should have cut him so he didn’t get his guaranteed money,” was a refrain I heard Sunday afternoon and even into the evening.That’s not the story.When Davis signed, $3.5 million of his single-year pay was fully guaranteed; $1.5 million of his signing bonus and $2 million of his $2.25 million base salary. The only thing that’s fully guaranteed as a result of Davis being on the roster Sunday is the extra $250,000 of his base salary. If you’re a homer like me, you have at least one Bills player on your team. If you’re smart (unlike me), that player wasn’t Corey Coleman. Oops.Each week, we’ll take a look at the players we feel could have a solid fantasy matchup for the Bills and their opponents. Here, we preview the Bills who should be considered playable this week in Baltimore.RB LeSean McCoyThe Ravens pose a tough matchup for the Bills at all positions, truthfully, but chances are good that if McCoy is on your roster, you drafted him to be your RB1 or RB2. You aren’t going to sit him in your first game Dion Dawkins Jersey , nor should you, even with a tough defense like Baltimore’s. Yahoo! projects McCoy to score 12.8 points in a half-PPR setup, which is 22nd among running backs this week. They have him rushing for 69 yards and making 3 catches for 22 yards. I think that the rushing total might be accurate, but the receiving total could be much higher, as the Bills will look to keep quarterback Nathan Peterman upright in a quick, timing-based offense. McCoy is a solid, if unspectacular play this week.WR Kelvin BenjaminSomebody has to catch the ball, right? If one thing is clear about Buffalo’s passing game, it’s that there is an obvious trust between Peterman and Benjamin. Last year, Benjamin only caught 17 passes with the Bills, counting the playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, for a total of 226 yards and 1 touchdown. With Peterman throwing to him Vladimir Ducasse Jersey , Benjamin caught 6 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. Baltimore will be without top corner Jimmy Smith in the game, meaning that either second-year man Marlon Humphrey (6’, 203 pounds) or veteran Brandon Carr (6’, 210 pounds) will have to cover the 6’5,” 245 pound behemoth. Yahoo! has Benjamin at 4 catches for 44 yards on the day, but all he needs is a touchdown for that to be a flex-worthy line. I think he’ll surpass both their projected catch total and yardage total this week.K Stephen HauschkaIf you’re in the group that doesn’t think that Buffalo will do much offensively, Hausch-money is a good player to roster. Baltimore’s stout defense could keep Buffalo out of the end zone, and if they do, Hauschka could be the Bills’ best chance at scoring. If you’re in a league that rewards kickers for making longer field goals, Hauschka is definitely a good player to have. He was 7-for-9 on kicks of 50 yards or more in 2017, and he has made 23-of-33 kicks from that distance over his NFL career. The extra points for extra distance could give you a nice boost this weekend.

Hopefully Cheap Da'Ron Payne Jersey , the second meeting between the two teams will result in a Redskins victory. In an earlier article in the series I mentioned how the Redskins defense will have to be up to the task to contain not only Saquon Barkley but also Odell Beckham, Evan Engram, and Sterling Shepherd. The pass rush and energy of the team specifically the defense will have to show up here to avoid an embarrassing outing. The Redskins travel south the week after for another tough matchup. This one features a potential Super Bowl contender and top defense. Despite where the team is at this point during the season playing the Jaguars tough and even having the possibility of upsetting them would be a statement. The Redskin offense is going to have their hands full in this one. If he’s healthy Josh Doctson having success against the Jacksonville corners would mark a potential breakout for him. The Jaguars DL is ferocious and deep so I hope the Redskins offensive line is still healthy. The Redskins have a chance at an upset only if they can take advantage of Bortles and contain Fournette. The key here will be to force turnovers and convert them into points. Can the Redskins do it ?The Redskins are on the road again the week after against the Titans who may very well be competing for a wild card spot in the AFC South. This is a game the Redskins can win and I hope Alex Smith is hungry for revenge after the Titans ended his playoff hopes last year. The Titans have a solid defense and one of the best young safeties in the league but there are some positional weaknesses the Redskins can take advantage of. If the Redskins can rush the ball and get some significant and effective interior OL blocking they can take advantage of the Titans ILB unit which features rookie Rashaan Evans. They can also look to challenge the cornerbacks specifically Adoree Jackson who is still learning and catching up with his coverage responsibilities. The Redskins defense will again face a bruising methodical runner in Derrick Henry and will have to again slow him down for the entirety of the game. The secondary will have to remain sharp as well especially against Delanie Walker and Corey Davis who is looking to have a breakout second season. I think this is arguably the most critical game for the Skins to win during this run. The Redskins end the regular season by hosting the Eagles at home. It would be great is somehow a Redskins win would knock the Eagles out of the playoffs and get the Redskins in but the Eagles will probably be resting their starters this game. If so the Redskins need to play hard all the way to the end - something that seems to have been lacking recently - this is a game they should win given that scenario.Washington Redskins Training Camp Day 1 Redskins players and coaches reported to Richmond, VA yesterday for some conditioning, and will begin their 2+ weeks of training camp practices today at 9:45am. However, we have to take things with a grain of salt and understand that there will be changes that impact things going forward. On the offensive side, Reich does everything he does to create matchup problems, so it will be interesting to see if this is flexible week-to-week depending on the defenses they face. For that one guy who keeps trying to convince everyone that Christine Michael is going to light up this roster, this pretty clearly illustrates what the coaching staff thinks of him. On a day where the team was missing Marlon Mack, he got just 3 snaps.Jack Doyle was in on 77 snaps, which seems like a lot because he was somewhat invisible early. That isn’t totally shocking because the tight ends were needed to help aid the offensive line against a solid pass rush. However, when you have a guy as talented as Matthias Farley backing him up, it doesn’t bother them to give Hooker a break. Najee Goode surprisingly saw just 7 defensive snaps. When bemoaning any play of the linebackers, remember this: the three linebackers who got the majority of the snaps in this game entered the game with a combined 10 games of NFL experience. This is a young group with a ton of potential. Pierre Desir had no snaps on defense. That might be the most surprising find of all for me, personally. Andrew Luck put up a massive stat line (40-62, 464 yards, 4 TDs) that should quiet those saying that his arm can’t do this or can’t do that due to some lack of arm strength.The Colts defense had themselves a game, too, despite the fact that the Texans finished with as many points as they did. They held the Texans’ running backs, forced a turnover and held up in the red zone on some possessions just as they had through the first three games. The Colts offense did gift the Texans 14 points after all. Last I checked, a tie is not a loss, and if the wins are the same come playoff time, that tie could come in handy. There are 10 teams in the AFC with a 2-2, or 1-3 record right now. Why couldn’t the Colts earn a Wild Card berth this year? And do fans honestly think that nothing is worth it if the team isn’t deemed “Super Bowl contenders” right now? Here’s why we’re excited about the Baltimore RavensThese past few years the Ravens have broken the hearts of their fans in the waning minutes of the season. When everything’s been on the line Youth Alex Lewis Jersey , they’ve come up big, yet collapsed and missed the postseason. But the 2018 season feels different.Joe Flacco isn’t throwing to players who need to develop. He’s surrounded by big-name receivers such as Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead IV. Since 2012, Joe’s seen a revolving receiving unit that hasn’t lived up to expectations. But now, the team spent money and draft picks to give the quarterback everything he needs to succeed.Joe’s known as a player who throws frequently to his tight ends, so the team went out and spent a first- and third-round pick signing two new capable starters. Both Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews are looking great, which means this offense has no excuse. The weapons are there, the line looks solid and Joe’s been throwing heat in practice against a strong defense.No longer do I expect this team to lean on the run-game and hope for Alex Collins to make something from nothing. They have Crabtree, Brown and Snead IV to move the chains and score points. There’s a chance a few games will be out of reach for the opponent by the fourth quarter, which isn’t common in Ravens’ games. Rather than pray Justin Tucker can kick 12 points on the board or the defense gets a turnover in the red-zone to stave off a comeback, we can see touchdowns from receivers. We can cheer as the team leads by two or more possessions with only minutes to spare. The offense isn’t the only reason to be excited, though it’s hard not to focus only on their new additions. The defense didn’t lose anything other than their prevent-defense running coordinator, Dean Pees. In fact, they added players. Tavon Young, one of the best rookie corners back in 2016, returns with tenacity. He’s intercepted Flacco http://www.ravensauthorizedshops.com/authentic-brent-urban-jersey , Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III in practice. He’s winning everything from 1-on-1 battles to live-action play. His addition, combined with the already strong secondary featuring Jimmy Smith, Eric Weddle, Marlon Humphrey, Tony Jefferson and Brandon Carr leave this team capable of covering any offense in the league.Even more exciting, to me, comes the development of the pass-rushers, namely Matt Judon and Tim Williams. Judon’s looking like the heir to the Terrell Suggs throne. His development went from a few sacks to big-time pressures and stops in both the running and passing game. Watching Tim Williams also become a threat with his moves on the outside leave this team with a possible surplus at pass-rusher, something every coach dreams of. There will be times we could see Za’Darius Smith, Suggs, Judon, Williams and even Tyus Bowser on plays to punish the quarterback. I believe this is possible because unlike Pees, Don ‘Wink’ Martindale isn’t afraid to bring the heat. He’s known as a more aggressive play-calling coordinator. If he has the secondary capable of playing man coverage, combined with a front seven with blitz-package skills, he’s going to dial up the heat against opposing offenses.I also can’t forget to mention the best kicker in NFL history, Justin Tucker. Any time this team is within forty yards of the endzone C.J. Mosley Jersey , Tucker’s in range. When the offense does stagnate, which happens to nearly all teams, they can’t score points. Meanwhile, the Ravens just need a single punt to flip the field and a turnover to add three points to their total. It’s unfair how far Tucker can kick from with the accuracy he does. Crossing mid-field is demoralizing to other defenses because they know Tucker and the wolf-pack are ready to set up and score.Yes, there are many reasons to be excited for the following years, namely Lamar Jackson and the rookies, but this season isn’t a wash. Joe looks great, the receivers can catch and the defense is improving. This is a great time to be a Baltimore Ravens fan.Five takeaways from the Ravens’ 34-23 loss to the Bengals [Ravens fans: Sign up for FanPulse, 3 poll questions every week]On a night where the entire team struggled for a majority of the game, the Ravens nearly pulled off a comeback. With a little under three minutes to go, Joe Flacco and the offense took the field with an opportunity to tie the game up with a touchdown and a two-point conversion. On third down, Joe Flacco fumbled the football, and Cincinnati recovered the ball to essentially secure the victory. The Ravens lost 34-23, and they are now 1-1 on the season. This loss could prove to be quite costly as this was a divisional and conference loss, but the bigger issue is that this game brought up more questions than answers. 1. Baltimore’s offensive line needs to be remodeledThe Ravens allowed four sacks, but that stat does not portray the entire story. Flacco was constantly under pressure Authentic Hayden Hurst Jersey , and the offense struggled as a result. It was a poor effort from Ronnie Stanley, James Hurst, and Matt Skura. Stanley was beaten early and often, while also drawing an untimely false start penalty. He continues to be beaten by more athletic edge rushers due to poor positioning. In addition to terrible pass-blocking, there were no running lanes for Alex Collins or Javorius Allen. Baltimore finished with 66 rushing yards, and they failed to establish a running game for the second consecutive week. For an offense that relies heavily on the run, this should be a huge concern.The biggest question surrounding this position group is a pretty obvious one; why is Orlando Brown Jr. not the starting right tackle. Although he is a rookie and showed some of his flaws during the preseason, it is hard to envision that he would be worse than Hurst. 2. Lamar Jackson should not be the starting quarterback, yetDespite eclipsing 300 passing yards in a regular season game for the first time since 2016, Joe Flacco had a horrible showing. A huge concern was that during the plays where he was not under pressure, Flacco made inaccurate throws. Flacco finished with 375 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. His first interception was one of the worst plays of his entire career as he completely misread the coverage, and threw a pass directly to the safety, Jessie Bates III. Regardless of how poorly Flacco played, the notion that Jackson could come in and produce better results right now with the way their offensive line is currently constructed is invalid. Jackson without a doubt would be able to evade pass-rushers better Youth Tony Jefferson Jersey , but he has displayed he is not ready yet. 3. The Ravens have an issue at safetyAmong all of the issues regarding the defense, Cincinnati’s game plan was clear: attack the slot (Tavon Young) and the safeties. Tony Jefferson was picked on throughout the night. He committed defensive pass interference in the red zone, while also allowing several big catches.Eric Weddle also had a rough night in both coverage and tackling. On one of A.J. Green’s three touchdowns, Weddle took a terrible angle, which allowed Green to cut to the left side of the field en route to scoring a touchdown. As a safety, his job is to prevent plays like the one mentioned above from happening, but he failed to do so. 4. LB Kenny Young is the real steal of the 2018 draft classIn a game where there will not be many positive takeaways for the Ravens, Kenny Young was the shining star. He was excellent not only in coverage but run defense as well. Young’s greatest weakness coming out of college was his poor instincts against the run, but it was a different story against the Bengals. Young has without a doubt earned the starting weakside linebacker spot over Patrick Onwuasor. 5.
