Tanner Lee Color Rush Jersey

The Jacksonville Jaguars snapped their losing streak on Sunday with a 6-0 win over the Indianapolis Colts Tanner Lee Color Rush Jersey , also snapping the Colts winning streak. The Jaguars made a lot of changes on leading up to Sunday’s game, including firing offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and finally pulling the plug on quarterback Blake Bortles. Backup quarterback Cody Kessler got his first start as a Jaguar and while he didn’t really do anything special to win on Sunday, he did enough to give the defense a few breathers and put the team in scoring range to get just enough points.“It wasn’t pretty but man it feels good. It’s something as a quarterback and as a kid you dream of winning an NFL game,” Kessler said on Sunday after the game. “There’s no doubt about it that I have to do better though, and push the ball downfield a little bit more and take some of those shots. When your defense is playing so well you don’t want to force things and make stupid turnovers to put them in a bad spot. It’s something for me that I took pride in there and in the second half was like, ‘alright things aren’t going great on offense, we’re not getting those shots down the field.’ But with how well our defense is playing let’s just be smart and take care of the ball and really drain this clock.”Kessler finished the day completing 18 of 24 passes for 150 yards http://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Gardner-Minshew-II-Jersey , no touchdowns, no interceptions and was sacked three times. Kessler essentially did what he was asked, which was to complete a lot of short easy throws, hit some screens and take a few shots down the field when the opportunity presented itself.Honestly, the most impressive play Kessler probably made on the day was recovering his own fumble late in the game.“That was big. That was a little panic moment right there. He was on top of me and he was pulling me back and I just had to fight and get it,” Kessler said about recovering the fumble. “But I mean it fortunately went our way. I think we won the turnover battle today, I don’t know. As a unit that’s awesome Ryquell Armstead Jersey , especially when the defense is playing so great. The talent on defense is unbelievable here, and offense too. I know everyone doesn’t give them enough credit but these guys have stepped up, and guys that haven’t been here long and guys just sticking together. It feels good.”At one point in the game the only opening season starter on the offensive line for the Jaguars was AJ Cann and without Leonard Fournette, it was clear that the Jaguars plan was to burn clock with short quick passes as a pseudo running game. Kessler was able to execute that and truthfully, outside of his ability to complete those passes with consistency, the Jaguars offense didn’t look all that different it has looked, which should tell you quite a bit of about the Jaguars quarterback position. Now that the Super Bowl has been decided http://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Quincy-Williams-II-Jersey , it means the offseason talk is going to ramp up quickly for teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars. They’ve filled out their coaching staff, which included the hiring of offensive coordinator John DeFilippo. We can now start looking at the roster and trying to figure out what the team is going to have in 2019 and what they could be adding and what positions they’ll want to be adding to.You can read about the Jaguars salary cap situation right here for now, until the official numbers are released, that’s the best we’ll get.Next up Josh Oliver Jersey , we will look at the defensive line group.Players under contract in 2019:Calais Campbell:Don’t think we need to say much. His play didn’t drop off at all in 2018 like some expected so I see no reason to think he won’t still be an impact player in 2019.Yannick Ngakoue: Despite his sack number dipping slightly, Ngakoue was still excellent rushing the passer and being disruptive in the NFL. Towards the end of the season he was Top 5 in the NFL in pressures.Marcell Dareus: Dareus took over full time this year and was a steady workhorse. It was noticeable when he wasn’t in the game.Malik Jackson: While his numbers were down, Jackson was still a solid player in 2018. Abry Jones: Jones is a starting caliber player that is depth right now and a run stuffer. I expect him to have more of a rotational role in 2019.Taven Bryan: The experiment with Bryan at defensive end went on a little too long and probably wasted his rookie season. When he moved back inside he was a lot more noticeable and disruptive, so here’s hoping he can do more of that in 2019.Eli Ankou: Ankou was hurt most of the season, but the Jaguars value his run stopping ability.Michael Hughes: I don’t know much about him!Dawuane Smoot: Smoot was someone a lot of people thought could get cut this season, but once he was healthy he actually started to make a few plays. Maybe the light goes on in 2019.Lyndon Johnson: A late add in the season who flashed a little bit. Potential cap cuts:Malik Jackson: I think Jackson is as good as gone for the Jaguars and overall, they got what they paid for in free agency. Jackson was excellent his first two season in Jacksonville with some drop off playing a little hurt in 2018. His cap figure in 2019 was always likely the cut-away point and doing so saves you $11 million.Marcell Dareus: Dareus is someone I think the Jaguars will approach about restructuring his contract by adding a year to it. The team likes him and he’s done well since being traded.Calais Campbell: We know Campbell has already been informed he will be back in 2019 http://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Jawaan-Taylor-Jersey , however I listed him hear because I think the team tries re-do his deal and push some money to 2020.Abry Jones: I don’t think Jones gets cut, but he’s a straight savings of $4 million if they want to. Potential free agent options:I don’t think the Jaguars go after any FA defensive lineman, but here’s some names of interest to me.Ezekiel Ansah: Coming off injury so I don’t know that he will be THAT expensive, but he’s someone who would fit right in.Aaron Lynch: Lynch could double up playing some SAM and rushing the passer on third downs.Romeo Okwara: An under-the-radar pass rusher who’s at the sweet spot for age in free agency.Mario Edwards: Versatile defensive lineman who can play end or inside. Depth, more than anything.

The Dallas Cowboys selected eight players in the 2019 NFL Draft, but did they pick the right guys? Here is an assessment of each of their draft picks."The NFL Draft is a beautiful thing. In a blink of an eye, it can throw months worth of draft research into the trash as you realize how small you are in the real world when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys front office. I learned this the hard way back in 2012 when I spent hours trying to decide who the team was more likely to pick - edge rusher Melvin Ingram or guard David DeCastro. The team threw us all a curve ball when they traded up for Morris Claiborne and just like that - my top 50 players no longer had relevance. Those were good times. You’d think such a lesson learned would prepare me to not get my hopes up, but no - I get lulled into believing the Cowboys are going to pick my top guys because I’m a sucker. In all fairness, the three-year streak of Zack Martin, catch wind and jump ahead of you. The Cowboys may want to do a better job keeping their secrets under wraps. So with the hype of Hill already in full swing, I made a plea to the organization, but something tells me they weren’t listening.I have no problem with Hill the player. The Cowboys have traits they look for and Hill matches that to a tee. The get-off, the motor, the pass-rushing presence who can also stuff the run - he’s got it. The perplexing thing about Hill is despite his talent, the coaching staff at Central Florida chose to not start him last season. The Cowboys did their homework and Rod Marinelli ended up developing a close relationship with Hill. This pick is not just about the athletic upside or the need they have on the inside of the defensive line. I mean, those things are important, but the icing on the cake was what the team felt about the person. When you take all of this into account, it’s easy to see why the team loved Hill so much.Pick 90 - Connor McGovern, GThis pick caught a lot of fans off guard. There were so many great choices available and it was surprising that they would choose a player at a position where they are strong. Last week in our follow the money piece, we identified an offensive lineman as a surprise third-round pick. We made our best guess at a talented lineman that might slip through the cracks and that choice was Max Scharping who was selected 55th overall. The team actually went with Connor McGovern who turned out to be that crack-slipper for the Cowboys front office.McGovern was a four-year starter at Penn State that featured two of the top running backs taken in the draft over the last two years (Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders). He’s a smart player who is run blocking stud. He’s athletic Troy Aikman Color Rush Jersey , he plays with good leverage, and he’s got a little bit of nasty the team loves on their OL. The position flex also is big and opens up some doors for the team going forward. Losing La’el Collins in free agency next season suddenly isn’t a big concern. If Travis Frederick suffers a setback, the team will be ready. The team has had a great amount of success when their offensive line dominates and this puts them one step closer to doing just that. It’s not sexy, but it’s super smart.Pick 128 - Tony Pollard, RBMemphis running back Tony Pollard was an official pre-draft visit, so it wasn’t surprising that the team selected him. However, it was surprising that they took him so early. There was a run on running backs right before the Cowboys picked so maybe they got nervous, but this pick looked like a panic move.Even more unsettling was the notion that the team appeared to mess up the order of in which they should’ve selected their fourth-round picks. From the war room camera, there was an lively discussion going on right before they picked. It felt as if they were debating who they should pick first, hoping they could get guys they wanted with both picks. They opted to go with Pollard first, but wasn’t able to get the other guy they wanted at 136. That forced them into plan B. You might want to look away if you’re a John Cominsky fan as this could sting a bit.If the Cowboys went Cominsky first, there’s a great chance they get both the players they want.Pollard is a good player and he’s dynamic enough to offer the offense a little excitement with his touches, but it’s hard to get too worked up about this type of player when we’ve witnessed the team not utilize them to their full potential. We’ve all been duped before when it come to players like Lance Dunbar or even last year with Tavon Austin, so we’ll believe it when we see it, but maybe the Kellen Moore era will present some new opportunities.Pick 158 - Michael Jackson, CBWhile I was still stewing over losing out on Cominsky Tony Pollard Jersey , the Cowboys adjusted to this misstep pretty well. Rather than settling, they moved back and got an extra pick. And then they turned that pick into yet another pick. All in all, the compensatory pick courtesy of Anthony Hitchens yielded them three players. And the team put them to good use.At pick 158, the Cowboys got themselves a long, physical corner with Miami’s Michael Jackson. This is the prototypical corner that Kris Richard looks for. He loves to press off the line and is very pesky in coverage. He’s got good speed to stay with his man, plays with a lot of aggression, and will sell out to make the tackle. But my favorite thing about him is how he gets his head turned around to make a play on the ball. He’s just a very good cover corner. This is a really good depth pick for Dallas this late in the draft. With Anthony Brown on the last year of his deal, Jackson could step in and have a bigger role on this team in 2020.Pick 165 -Joe Jackson, DEFor a lot of Cowboys fans there was a huge sigh of relief when edge rusher Jaylon Ferguson was selected by some other team. The NCAA’s all time leader in sacks just didn’t grow on a lot of us, but word on the street was that the Cowboys liked him a lot. The knock on Ferguson had to do with his traits, or lack thereof. He doesn’t bend or explode off the ball, yet his production was astounding. And that is what the Cowboys get with Miami’s Joe Jackson, albeit a discounted version. The team has been throwing draft resources at the defensive end position every year since the departure of DeMarcus Ware and even though it’s a crowded house, it didn’t deter them from doing it again this year. Like Ferguson, Jackson just isn’t colored with a lot of appealing pass rushing traits, but his effectiveness at this point in his development is intriguing in it’s own right. Just how good can he be if he can’t refine his pass rushing technique? Last month we mentioned that the Cowboys two starting edge rushers https://www.dallascowboysfanshop.com/Connor-Mcgovern-Jersey , DeMarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn, both finished in the top four in terms of win percentage last season. It looks like they now have another edge rusher that wins at a high rate.Pick 213 - Donovan Wilson, SThe Cowboys had so many opportunities to get a good safety in this draft, but time and time again, they passed. On one hand, you have to credit their discipline to favor talent over need as they continued to pluck good players off the board. But on the other hand, how are they ever going to improve the safety position? And for that reason, it leaves many of us unsatisfied that Wilson was the best they could come up with at safety. But if you can accept the fact that there will be no new upgrade at the top of the depth chart and just focus on depth, the Wilson pick has way more appeal. There is little hope that he’ll give the team something better than what they already have. He’s not athletic enough to be a strong safety, and his 199 lb. frame isn’t optimal to be a punishing strong safety.Despite the lack of upside, Wilson has the traits to having a fighting shot at making the roster. Whether his body can handle it or not, he’s going to give the effort and has the physical nature to hit hard. And he’ll be better in coverage than Kavon Frazier, who he’s likely to replace in 2020. Solid pick. Pick 218 - Mike Weber, RBAnother running back? What’s going on here? The Cowboys had two Day 3 running back prospects in for pre-draft visits and I’ll be doggone it if they didn’t take them both.Ohio State’s Mike Weber was a guy that we had mocked to the Cowboys in the fifth round so getting him a round later works for me. And it doesn’t really matter that Pollard was already drafted. The Cowboys really don’t have any running backs behind Zeke so both these guys can have a role on the team. Pollard would have a different role, where Weber is a more well-rounded running back that could actually fill in as the lead back should Elliott be unavailable. Like Pollard, Weber’s vision is really good Trysten Hill Jersey , but he attacks more within the tackles. The team knows what they want for their offense. Damien Harris was brought in because he’s sort of a poor man’s Zeke. He’s very good at a lot of different things. Well, Weber is a poor man’s Harris. Sure, it’s another level down from the original, but the team now has a viable backup running back on a cheap four-year deal. One of the first pieces we wrote in the aftermath of the Cowboys divisional playoff loss was how all four of the conference championship teams had success utilizing multiple running backs in contrast to the Cowboys relying too heavily on Zeke. So really, I should be much happier about these new toys than I am leading on.Pick 241 - Jalen Jelks, DEIt’s hard to have too much of an opinion about a seventh-round draft pick, but this move was puzzling. The Cowboys defensive end position is extremely crowded and now they bring in a player who is not exactly athletic? What are they trying to do here exactly? Answer: throw darts.Jelks selection was a preemptive priority free agent signing that they knew wasn’t likely to happen had they waited until after the draft. I mean, what edge rusher is going to want to show up to Dallas and fight for a roster spot with all this surplus of depth already on the roster? By drafting him, he’s not given the choice. And when you look at some of the nice adds they picked up as undrafted free agents, it certainly makes a lot more sense with how they approached this. With Jelks they have a long defender that does a great job utilizing his size. He processes well and his reaction skills is where he makes his money. The limitations athletically doesn’t paint a promising picture, but we’ll let camp battles sort that all out. There were times when I felt like the Cowboys were reaching, but I think subconsciously my mind wasn’t seeing the effects of not having a first-round pick. When you take a step back and lay it all on the table, it looks like a much more impressive draft haul. What do you think of the Cowboys overall draft?

When the Texans lost their first three games of the season https://www.broncosfanstore.com/Tom-Jackson-Jersey , their coach didn’t panic. Now that they’ve now won five in a row, their coach isn’t celebrating. 鈥淚 know it鈥檚 five in a row, it鈥檚 really good, like I鈥檓 not trying to downplay that, but it鈥檚 only eight games in,” Bill O’Brien told reporters after Thursday’s 42-23 win over the Dolphins. “Nothing鈥檚 been determined, so what have you done? You guys know, it鈥檚 a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league. So, we鈥檝e got to watch this, correct, figure out what鈥檚 going on health-wise, . . . and then start getting ready for Denver.鈥漁’Brien, who seems to be exuding that “don’t congratulate me; we haven’t done anything yet” vibe in the photo with Texans exec Cal McNair, is absolutely right. But the Texans should at least take a moment to feel pride in the fact that they’ve matched a team record with five straight wins, and that five wins in a row ties the record for the second-best recovery after an 0-3 start in the Super Bowl era.But O’Brien’s message remains an important one Dennis Smith Jersey , and it sounds like his team leaders are heeding it. “Of course there鈥檚 a lot of panic when you start 0-3, but we have a lot of guys who have been through a lot of adversity, whether it鈥檚 in their life or in injuries, whatever it may be, we have guys who鈥檝e been through stuff,” defensive end J.J. Watt said. “They know what it鈥檚 like to be down and out and they know what it鈥檚 like to fight back. Nobody was really panicking, we just knew that we had work to do and we had to play better and we started to do that. Now, we鈥檙e nowhere near where we need to be. We鈥檙e only halfway through the season, so we need to keep it going. But if we continue to work the way we work during the week, if we continue to play together and have fun, let it loose, we can definitely do some great things but we just have to take it one day at a time, which how we got here from an 0-3 start.”The Texans will get a chance to stretch their winning streak to six games in nine days, against a Broncos team that likely will be 3-5 (barring an upset of the Chiefs) and desperate to avoid falling to 3-6. With two weeks to go in the 2019 season, the Denver Broncos season is over. When the Tennessee Titans shut out the New York Giants on Sunday Terrell Davis Color Rush Jersey , the infinitesimally small chance the Broncos had of making the playoffs vanished. After a nauseating season with more downs than up, Denver should shamble through the next eight quarters with all the dedication and vigor they’ve brought to the previous 14 games. Oof.So what’s next? The one thing that has unified Broncos Country is the desire for Vance Joseph to be fired. For whatever reason, John Elway has elected to torture fans and the coach himself by not putting VJ out of everyone’s misery. The secret is out, everyone knows what a fraud Joseph is and so what does it really matter if he’s allowed to hold his laminated play sheet and wear that headset for the last two games? Players already don’t take him seriously, so what harm can it do?So how about that offense? Case Keenum is just not a starting quarterback. I really wanted him to work out, but I’ll be damned if Jeff Fisher wasn’t right. It’s evident from the plays that were being called for him that Bill Musgrave didn’t trust him and after the Browns game, we see why. Outside of Philip Lindsay and the receivers, there is a great deal of work that’s going to have to go into making this offense an NFL calibur unit. They aren’t even close. It’s depressing to write about how our once great defense has fallen into disrepair. Remember when people were touting Joe Woods as a gifted disciple of Wade Phillips? Clearly that was a lie that I’ll readily admit I fell for. The first step to restoring the defensive roster is to retool the depleted defensive secondary.Safety Darian Stewart and Brandon Marshall’s options for 2019 will likely not be exercised, so those holes will need keen attention in the months ahead. For as excited as I get from year to year about the draft and free agency, I am disappointed and angry that it’s already time to shift into those gears with two games left to play. Mitchell Trubisky Color Rush Jersey

With all the fun we’ve been having with this Chicago Bears season Mitchell Trubisky Color Rush Jersey , you may not have followed the 49ers year much - particularly after Jimmy G took an early exit with a torn ACL. The 49ers were preseason darlings for a lot of pundits making their preseason predictions and, despite a roster still full of holes, many had them competing with the Rams for the division title. To help us sort through all the issues and some of the bright spots of this 49ers squad, I reached out to David Fucillo of Niners Nation. He was kind enough to provide great answers to fill in the blanks. Windy City Gridiron: 1. It has been a bit of a lost season for the 49ers with the Jimmy Garoppolo injury, but this squad has found some pluck the last two weeks, beating the Broncos and Seahawks at home. What has been the winning recipe in the last two games? Is this a good thing for the future or are fans upset about losing draft position?Niners Nation: It’s been a rather odd run here. The 49ers went 1-3 in arguably their easiest stretch of the season (@ AZ, vs. OAK, vs. NYG, @ TB), but have since gone 2-1 entering their toughest stretch of the season. Sometimes the NFL is tough to figure out!The 49ers have found success for a couple reasons. The first is the defense has stepped up in a big way after inconsistency much of the first 12 weeks. They shut down the Broncos vaunted run game, and then contained Russell Wilson in the fourth quarter, when he is at his most dangerous. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner has been the leader on defense, but where it has been interesting is the fact that the team is rolling out a host of rookies due to injuries. They have rookies starting at nickel back and strong safety, and then a second-year nose tackle. The unit is growing together and showing real signs of progress. On offense, quarterback Nick Mullens is impressing. He had a record-setting debut against the Raiders, but seemed to regress the next two weeks against the Giants and Bucs. However, he has bounced back with solid performances against a really good Broncos defense and a solid Seahawks defense. Mullens doesn’t have a big arm, but Kyle Shanahan is proving his play-calling prowess to get guys open for Mullens.Plenty of 49ers fans would prefer the team lose and draft edge rusher Nick Bosa with the #1 overall pick. However, that seems unlikely now. It increases the degree of difficulty for the 49ers to find much-needed pass rush help. At the same time, snapping a ten-game losing streak to a rival and doing it in relatively impressive fashion gives the team momentum heading into the offseason. If they could split their final two against the Bears and Rams, it would certainly give the organization all sorts of confidence. That being said, yes, some people are upset about losing draft position.WCG: 2. Former Iowa Hawkeye George Kittle has emerged as a top tier tight end this year, something that is even more surprising given the mix of QB’s under center. What has he done to step up his game to put himself into the elite conversation and have you opposing defenses focused their scheme on trying to stop the dynamic second-year pass catcher?NN: Kittle flew under the radar coming out of college because he played in a run-heavy offense and dealt with various injuries during his career. However, the athleticism was always there. He ran a 4.52 40 in the 2019 NFL Combine, finishing third to Evan Engram and O.J. Howard in that measurement. He ran that with a 6’4, 247 pound frame, which is kinda ridiculous. He’s incredibly physical and brings separation skills in abundance. He can bowl over safeties and cornerbacks, while linebackers cannot really keep up with him down the field. We’ve started to see teams doubling him up more. Two weeks ago against Denver, Kittle had 210 receiving yards in the first half, but was shut out in the second half. The key for the 49ers has been the emergence of rookie wide receiver Dante Pettis as a viable alternative. Veteran receiver Pierre Gar莽on has been placed on injured reserve Pat O'Donnell Jersey , while Marquise Goodwin missed time dealing with family issues and is slowly being worked back into the mix. After a slow start, the past four games has seen Pettis catch 17 receptions for 338 yards and four touchdowns. He is emerging as a serious threat that might force Chicago to play Kittle a little more straight up.WCG: 3. The 49ers defense has been up and down this year, highlighted by DeForest Buckner’s double digit sack season. However, the 49ers have a league low 2 interceptions and only 5 takeaways total, far behind the 31st ranked Ravens (11). What’s going on with this defense? NN: The takeaways have been a problem. Jim Harbaugh once compared takeaways to a jar of olives, where once you get the first one out, they tumble out. The 49ers have not been able to shake open the olive jar sufficiently. It’s interesting to note the team ranks 12th in fumbles forced, but dead last in fumbles recovered. Turnover luck is a very real thing, and we’re just not seeing it right now. I suspect it reverts closer to the mean next year and we see the team finish with more takeaways. At the same time, if the 49ers can add a legitimate pass rush threat, if not a couple, that will help this defense force more turnovers. The pass rush has been inconsistent this season, and if they can add either a Josh Allen in the draft or a Dee Ford in free agency, it will gain some steam. That will make life easier for the secondary, which could result in more bad plays by opposing quarterbacks.WCG: 4. The 2017 draft brought our two respective franchises together in a draft day trade that drew rave reviews for John Lynch by “fleecing” Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears. (Full disclosure - I was one of those detractors who was upset about the process behind trading up one spot.) Now that we’re 18 months past that trade and have a lot more data about team building, how do 49ers fans feel about John Lynch and the future direction of the 49ers franchise? What needs to happen next off-season for 2019 to be more competitive?NN: There has been plenty of discussion among 49ers fans about just what to make of that trade. They were never going to take a quarterback, so it was a win in the sense of getting more picks while getting the guy they wanted. That view of the trade is pretty straight forward. Where it gets a little murkier is the results. The 49ers drafted Solomon Thomas with the third overall pick, and things get murkier from there. They traded the Bears third round pick to the Saints, who turned that into Alvin Kamara. Whoops. That deal landed them starting safety Adrian Colbert (now on injured reserve). They turned the Bears 2018 third round pick into linebacker Fred Warner, who is the team’s starting MIKE and a standout performer. All well and good, but it comes back to Solomon Thomas. He has struggled to get going, in part because the team had not played him at his position of strength inside. That seems to be changing, and he is showing some signs of life in the latter half of this season. The fanbase is more confident than not, but people are still waiting for the big breakthrough. It seemed like this would be the year the team got back into at least the edge of playoff contention. Instead, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jerick McKinnon blew out their knees, and fans were left waiting for 2019. Pressure is off the GM/HC duo for the time-being, but assuming there are no hiccups in Jimmy G’s recover, the pressure will be on in 2019. They’ll have a high draft pick and a ton of cap space. They need at least one, if not two edge rushers to boost the pass rush. They could potentially use another pass catcher, either a complementary tight end or another wide receiver. They will likely need at least one guard as well. The 49ers will be more competitive just by getting Garoppolo and McKinnon back. With the development of the rest of the roster this season, this is a team that can compete for a wild card berth next year. If they can land a big-time pass rusher and one more notable pass catcher https://www.thebearsfanshop.com/Kyle-Long-Jersey , they could move from wild card contender to surprise division contender. They need to hit big on what will likely be a top five draft pick, finding a player who can impact the defense from day one. They don’t need to go overboard in free agency, but a receiver and a guard, with some secondary depth through the draft or free agency are critical.WCG: 5. I think it’s safe to say that 49ers fans have no real interest in seeing the division rival Rams do well in the playoffs. So, can we make a deal that you guys lose to the Bears but knock off the Rams in week 17, allowing the Bears to sneak into the #2 seed? Also, could you send Robbie Gould back to us? Thanks!NN: We’ll see what we can arrange! This is an intriguing game. The line opened with the Bears as five-point favorites, but the line quickly dropped to 3.5 points. It has settled in at four points, and probably won’t change much between now and kickoff. My first thought is that either the 49ers win this game outright, or the Bears win by double digits. I just don’t see this game falling in between that. Chicago does not seem to be nearly as good on the road as at home, but that defense is incredibly fearsome. I’m really looking forward to this game as another big test for Nick Mullens. If he puts up another respectable performance, his trade value could be something to watch in the offseason. And no, you don’t get Robbie Gould back. First up, those of us that picked the Bears new running back.“David Montgomery is my favorite rookie by far. Not only will he end any conversation about having a backfield by committee, he’ll develop into one of the better backs in the league over time. He’s a complete 3-down player who’s a perfect fit and the final piece for Matt Nagy’s offense.” ~ Erik Christopher Duerrwaechter“My favorite new rookie is absolutely David Montgomery. Not only was running back a big need heading into the draft, they were able to take one of the four running backs I had graded in my first tier. Yes, it did cost them in a trade up, but I think many will be glad they landed a top option in a weaker running back class.” ~ Aaron Leming“In my opinion there’s not a lot of other choices (Montgomery’s the only one likely to play much in 2019), but I love his fit for our offense and think he’ll help take it to a new level. Hard runner, great in space, sound pass blocker, hard-working receiver, good at picking his way through crowds up the middle. Check Tom Waddle Color Rush Jersey , check, check, check, and check.” ~ Robert SchmitzLester and Jacob break down Bears third-round draft pick, Iowa State running back, David Montgomery “After not knowing much about the fit that Montgomery was to the Bears offense (I watched almost none of him because I assumed he’d be long gone) he’s now definitely my favorite pick of this class. I’m not a fan of trading up for a running back, but I get why Pace, once again, aggressively went up for his guy. Montgomery has exactly the type of lead-back skills this offense needs. He’s a powerful runner, but he has a wiggle to his game that Jordan Howard doesn’t have. Neither he nor Howard is speed demon, but Montgomery will be able to get what the defense gives him quicker than Howard did. Part of what makes him a better receiver than Howard is his ability to get back up to top speed faster than Howard could. Howard would catch a pass, but by the time he got himself back going, the defense converged. Montgomery will catch it and go with a suddenness. At Iowa State he was also a good pass blocker, which is something the Bears need as well.” ~ Lester A. Wiltfong Jr.Montgomery received a passing mention by these next two, but they ultimately went with the Bears new wide out. “I’m a really big fan of David Montgomery’s fit in the Bears’ offense, but I’m also really high on Riley Ridley as a long-term weapon for Mitchell Trubisky. One of the best route runners in this year’s draft, he can change direction on a dime and runs routes with impressive body control. From a value standpoint, he was an incredible pick in the fourth round.” ~ Jacob Infante“Montgomery is obviously the headliner here, but I’ll go in another direction. In my football watching life, I’ve come up with a couple personal preferences when looking at prospects. First, I think that throwing accuracy is the most important trait with quarterbacks, and second, I think that route-running is more important than pure speed. I think that in looking at prospects at those two positions, they are more likely to succeed than a comparable player without those traits and, for instance, better arm strength or a faster forty time. It’s for that reason, I am excited about Riley Ridley. I think a savvy route runner will fit into what Matt Nagy wants more than the top-end speed of a Taylor Gabriel or Kevin White.” ~ Sam HouseholderAnd now for a couple unexpected picks.“My favorite new rookie is honestly John Baron II. I don’t even know if he’s going to make the team, but he seems like a fun guy, and I love how much attention they are throwing at the kicker position.” ~ Josh Sunderbruch“My favorite rookie in the class is Kerrith Whyte, Jr. Whyte is a guy who fits immediately on special teams as a returner (I don’t want to see Tarik Cohen out there as our main punt returner any more because of injury concerns) and as that true game breaking speed back that we need. He’s the kind of tool Matt Nagy needs in the toolbox to make the Bears offense truly one to be feared. ~ Ken MitchellNow it’s your turn. Who is your favorite Bears’ rookie?

Before Drew Brees could blow kisses to the adoring Superdome crowd Youth Marcus Williams Jersey , before he could embrace his wife and children on the sideline, the Saints' 39-year-old quarterback had to shred one of the NFL's top pass defenses with ruthless efficiency. And so he did.Brees passed Peyton Manning to become the NFL's all-time leader in yards passing with a 62-yard touchdown to rookie Tre'Quan Smith on Monday night that sent New Orleans on its way to a lopsided 43-19 victory over the mistake-prone Washington Redskins."It's hard for me to reflect too much right now just because my career's not done. There are still goals to be accomplished. There are still challenges to be met. And so I'm still very focused on that," Brees said. "And yet, when something like this happens, there are so many people who are responsible for that, that are a part of that, that makes me happy. It makes me proud and it makes me extremely grateful 鈥?extremely grateful for the opportunity to play this game, to play it as long as I've played it, to have wound up here in New Orleans."It's just been an unbelievable journey."Brees entered the game needing 201 yards to eclipse Peyton Manning's previous mark of 71,940 yards. He had 250 yards and two touchdowns by halftime and finished 26 of 29 for 363 yards and three touchdowns. He has yet to throw an interception this season. He did, however, make his eighth career reception on his own deflected pass, and pushed across the line of scrimmage to add an extra yard to his career total."He throws for 5,000 yards just like he's sleeping at night Marcus Williams Jersey Stitched , and it's crazy to see that," Redskins cornerback Josh Norman said. "He's at the top of them all right now 鈥?and he's not done yet."The Saints' Smith, a third-round draft choice last spring, caught two touchdown passes from the 18th-year pro. Brees also hit Smith for a 35-yard score down the right sideline early in the third quarter.Any hope Washington had of coming back was all but snuffed out when Justin Hardee, a special teams regular who was in the game because of Marshon Lattimore's concussion symptoms, snagged Alex Smith's underthrown pass at the Saints' 19-yard line and returned his first career interception to the Washington 4.That set up change-of-pace QB Taysom Hill's 1-yard touchdown run that put the Saints (4-1) up 40-13.Smith completed 23 of 39 passes for 275 yards for the Redskins (2-2). He ran for a short touchdown late in the first half that pulled Washington within 26-13.MAKING MEMORIESWhen Saints began one of their last first-half possessions on their own 38, Brees needed just 35 yards to break the record. On the first play of the drive, Brees launched a pass toward the right sideline to the speedy Smith, who was wide open and easily sprinted away from Nicholson's tackle attempt en route to the end zone."I knew we were within striking distance" of the record, Brees said. "I didn't know it was going to happen on the first play to Tre'Quan. But I don't think it could have happened in any better fashion than it did. To have then that moment with my teammates on the field, the offensive line, it played out even greater than I ever could have imagined."Brees' teammates ran toward their quarterback as he jogged behind the play, and a group of them formed a jumping, celebrating mass of black and gold next to the Saints' fleur-de-lis emblem on the 50-yard line.Brees then removed his helmet Youth Alvin Kamara Jersey , saluted fans and exchanged hugs on the sideline with his wife, Brittany, their four kids and Saints coach Sean Payton. The ball was handed over to Pro Football Hall of Fame officials. With the game well in hand after the two-minute warning, Payton subbed Brees out of the game. As Teddy Bridgwater ran onto the field and Brees trotted to the sideline, Brees got one last ovation before fans began chanting: "Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints."INGRAM'S RETURNRunning back Mark Ingram, playing in his first game this season after serving a four-game suspension, scored two touchdowns on 2- and 1-yard runs in the first half.He finished with 53 yards rushing and 20 receiving."It's great to have him back," Payton said, stressing the Ingram's presence reduces the physical toll on fellow running back Alvin Kamara. "That combination 鈥?those are two real good running backs."PAINFUL PENALTIESThe Redskins came in allowing fewer than 190 yards passing per game and spoke of doing what they could to prevent Brees from making history. Instead, they helped Brees pile up first-half yards with third-down penalties that extended two touchdown drives.Norman's defensive holding penalty during Brees' incomplete pass sustained the Saints' first scoring drive, capped by Ingram's short touchdown run.In the second quarter, Montae Nicholson's unnecessary roughness penalty for leveling Ingram on Ryan Kerrigan's third-down sack extended a drive that ended with Brees' short TD pass to tight end Josh Hill.INJURIESRedskins: Chris Thompson took a heavy hit from Saints linebacker Craig Robertson and received treatment on the field before getting up and walking to the sideline holding his helmet. Redskins coach Jay Gruden said he had a rib injury. Gruden also said running back Adrian Peterson has a shoulder strain and will have an MRI. Receiver Paul Richardson Jr. stained his knee and tight end Vernon Davis had a hamstring injury.Saints: In addition to Lattimore, reserve defensive lineman Taylor Stallworth limped off the field, favoring his right leg.UP NEXTRedskins: Host Carolina on Sunday.Saints: Enter their bye week before returning to action at Baltimore on Oct. 21. METAIRIE Alvin Kamara Jersey Stitched , La. (AP) — The New Orleans Saints moved aggressively to improve their interior blocking in the second round of the draft, trading up 14 spots to take Texas A&M center Erik McCoy with the 48th overall pick they received from Miami.“We were pretty confident he wasn’t going to be available if we stood pat,” Saints coach Sean Payton said, noting that 6-foot-4, 303-pound McCoy was New Orleans’ top target when the second round began on Friday night. “We think he has been a real good football player in college and our gut, and our instincts tell us the same thing will happen at our level.”The decision to take McCoy came after 2018 Pro Bowl center Max Unger’s recent retirement and also came despite New Orleans’ signing of free-agent center Nick Easton, who started 12 games for Minnesota in 2017 but missed all of last season because of neck surgery.Payton said Unger’s departure was “one of reasons we brought Nick in, and so we just felt like interior lineman was going to be important for us.”McCoy asserted that his presence on New Orleans’ roster gives the Saints a player with a combination of “power, strength and speed that’s kind of rare as a center.”“I’m really good at getting to the second level,” McCoy said, referring to his ability to block downfield. “But I can also maintain a block and really be a pile-mover on the first level.”The Saints, who had no first-round pick, entered the draft seeking immediate contributors who could provide depth to a team that has its sights set on a Super Bowl run after losing in overtime of last season’ NFC title game. The addition of McCoy holds the potential to improve depth at both center and guard, positions critical to protecting record-setting Youth Alex Anzalone Jersey , 40-year-old quarterback Drew Brees.“I would say I’m very flexible,” McCoy said. “I have a lot more experience at center, but I played guard pretty much every spring I was at A&M. I have a couple of starts there, and I played it in high school.”McCoy joins a couple of other young interior linemen on the roster, including former LSU player Will Clapp and third-year pro Cameron Tom.McCoy said he has been to New Orleans only once before, but is eager to settle there and start his pro career with an offense that has been among the NFL’s best since coach Sean Payton and Brees both joined the Saints in 2006.“Drew Brees is the best quarterback in the NFL,” McCoy said, adding that he also has been impressed by the Saints’ running game and offensive line. “It’s a winning organization.”McCoy took a redshirt in 2015 before starting the past three seasons for the Aggies. He was a captain in all 13 games for A&M last season and was named offensive MVP at the team banquet after being a top blocker for a unit that gained 6,131 total yards.“He’s a guy that we feel like is going to fit in here,” Payton said. “He’s tough. He’s durable, well liked, a captain — all those things. Those are all part of it. Put all that together, along with (being) a good football player, and we feel like we helped ourselves.'”Payton added that scouts were impressed by how consistently strong McCoy’s performances were against Southeastern Conference competition.“You get to see him against guys he’s going to play against this next level Alex Anzalone Jersey Stitched ,” Payton said. “Some of the better defensive tackles in this draft are coming out of the SEC, so he was very consistent. He’s a physical player and smart.”But Payton stopped short of calling him an immediate starter.“All these guys have a transition to make. It’s hard to predict that sometimes,” Payton said. “In fairness to the process and the veterans that are here, there’s a lot that has to happen for young players to come in” and play right away. The Saints gave up second round picks this year — 62nd overall — and next year in the trade.New Orleans also sent Miami a sixth rounder this year in exchange for a fourth-rounder.New Orleans entered the draft with no picks in the first, third or fourth rounds, having traded those away in 2018 in deals that brought in defensive end Marcus Davenport, cornerback Eli Apple and reserve QB Teddy Bridgewater. In addition to their newly acquired fourth rounder, the Saints now have one remaining pick in both the fifth and sixth rounds, and two in the seventh.

Five out of eight ESPN NFL experts call trade the best of the offseason."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Daily Dawg ChowRufio’s PlaybookBrowns fans are not the only ones high on OBJ acquisitionNew Cleveland Browns Derrick Kindred Jersey ,40commentsFive out of eight ESPN NFL experts call trade the best of the offseason.EDTShareTweetShareShareBrowns fans are not the only ones high on OBJ acquisitionCary Edmondson-USA TODAY SportsCleveland Browns fans were understandably excited when the team completed the trade for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on March 13. Outside of a brief over-reaction from Browns Twitter to Beckham briefly “going dark” on social media, optimism has remained high about adding a three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver who has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards four times in his five years in the league. And as for that social media hiatus? It was short-lived as Beckham returned to social media over the weekend, including a photo with Liverpool goal-scorer extraordinaire Mo Salah (h/t to Ben Thomas):It is not just Browns fans, however, who are viewing the move in a positive light. Late last week, ESPN asked a panel of their NFL experts what the best move of the offseason has been so far and the overwhelming response was the addition of Beckham. There were three holdouts on the eight-person panel - Matt Bowen picked safety Earl Thomas signing with the Baltimore Ravens, Mike Sando picked defensive end Michael Bennett joining the New England Patriots Womens Derrick Kindred 2019 Jersey , and Kevin Seifert went with the Oakland Raiders trading for wide receiver Antonio Brown - but Beckham and the Browns were a clean sweep for everyone else.Beckham has yet to meet the media to talk about the trade, but that could be happening soon. Per NFL rules, teams that have a new head coach are permitted to start offseason workouts on April 1, and if Beckham is in attendance it is a safe bet that the team will make him available to the media. If Browns fans are lucky, Beckham might even post about it on social media. CLEVELAND (AP) — Jim Caldwell spent a year away from the NFL, and while he was gone the Browns found a franchise quarterback.Maybe he’ll get to coach Baker Mayfield.Caldwell, who led Indianapolis to the Super Bowl and made Detroit respectable, became the second candidate to interview with Browns general manager John Dorsey Cheap Derrick Kindred Youth Jersey , who is in the early stages of finding the franchise’s ninth coach since 1999.Caldwell met Wednesday with Dorsey and other members of the team’s search committee in Berea, Ohio. The Browns are only confirming interviews after they are completed. The 63-year-old Caldwell’s experience makes him a worthy candidate. He coached the Colts from 2009-11, winning the AFC title in his first season but losing to New Orleans in the Super Bowl. He went 36-28 in four seasons with the Lions before he was fired after going 9-7 in 2017.Dorsey is not limiting his search, and Caldwell seems to check many of the boxes the Browns are looking for in a coach following their bounce-back season. Cleveland narrowly missed the playoffs once season after going 0-16 under Hue Jackson. On Tuesday, Dorsey met with defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. He went 5-3 as Cleveland’s interim coach after replacing Jackson on Oct. 29. Dorsey also plans to interview Freddie Kitchens, who was promoted from running backs coach to offensive coordinator and brought out the best in Mayfield. It’s expected the Browns will meet at some point with former Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy as he has connections with Dorsey and others in Cleveland’s front office following years together with the Packers.Cleveland has also reportedly received permission to interview New Orleans assistant head coach/tight ends coach Dan Campbell, New England linebackers coach Brian Flores, Minnesota offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski and Indianapolis coordinators Nick Sirianni and Matt Eberflus.Caldwell previously interviewed for Green Bay’s opening Cleveland Browns Jarvis Landry Jersey , one of eight around the league.Earlier this week, Dorsey outlined what he’s looking for in a coach.“You want a man of character,” he said. “A guy who can instill leadership into these young men. A guy who is a collaborative thinker. A guy who is a continuous learner. A guy who is consistent on a day-in and day-out basis and who those players can look up to and go, ‘You know what? I will follow that guy anywhere.’ That is the goal for the organization is to get to what is best for this organization — find a man of character who can lead young men.”Caldwell’s vast experience in college and the pros, along with a winning record in the NFL, boost his candidacy. Malcom Brown Jersey Stitched

Christopher Gates from Daily Norseman joins us to preview the newest offensive lineman for the Saints."Our friend Christopher Gates over at SB Nation’s Daily Norseman on the Minnesota Vikings Malcom Brown Jersey Stitched , was kind enough to answer a few questions about one of the new additions to the New Orleans Saints: OL Nick Easton. What do you think Easton’s long-term position is on the offensive line? Center or Guard? Maybe Tackle? Right side or left?Easton missed 4 games last year and 5 games the year before that. Are we at a point where we should be concerned that he’s injury prone? What were Easton’s biggest strengths and weaknesses on the offensive line?At 4 years and $22.5 million (with only $4 million guaranteed), did the Saints overpay for someone who has yet to prove himself as a capable NFL starting offensive lineman? As far as you are aware, were there any locker room concerns with Easton during his time in Minnesota?Thank-you Youth Eli Apple Jersey , for taking the time to talk with us! Saints fans, make sure you check out their work over at Daily Norseman. You can follow them on Twitter at @DailyNorseman, and of course Eli Apple Jersey Stitched , as always, you can follow me on Twitter @dunnellz. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome will undergo a $450 million renovation as part of an agreement that will keep the Saints in New Orleans at least until 2035, Jeff Duncan of reports.State and Saints officials are “closing in” on a deal that would extend the team’s current lease agreement by 10 years Youth Austin Carr Jersey , according to Duncan.Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards approved the plan during an April 17 meeting with state and team officials in Baton Rouge. The Saints will share the cost of the project, kicking in $150 million. The Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District picks up $207 million and the state $92 million.Saints president Dennis Lauscha told Duncan that the overhaul of the Superdome is focused on modernizing the stadium to keep it relevant. It includes a new visiting locker room, expanded team store and Saints Hall of Fame and new end zone field-level box suites. New Orleans Austin Carr Jersey Stitched , a popular travel destination, hopes to continue hosting Super Bowls and other big events.Construction would occur over the next four offseasons, staring in January 2020.

Let’s hear what some NFL execs had to say about the Cowboys draft class."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Dallas Cowboys NewsDallas Cowboys 2019 DraftAnonymous NFL GM’s give a shoutout to Cowboys picks Trysten Hill and Tony PollardNew White DeMarcus Ware Jersey ,158commentsLet’s hear what some NFL execs had to say about the Cowboys draft class.CDTShareTweetShareShareAnonymous NFL GM’s give a shoutout to Cowboys picks Trysten Hill and Tony PollardBrian Spurlock-USA TODAY SportsWe’ve discussed the Cowboys draft class, other Cowboys media have discussed the Cowboys draft picks, even the Cowboys front-office has discussed the Cowboys draft picks. One sector we haven’t heard from yet - the anonymous NFL general manager. ESPN got general managers from other teams to talk about the draft class of each NFL franchise. When it came to the Cowboys, they focused on three players. One was Amari Cooper, who technically wasn’t part of the 2019 draft class but we include him as the first-round pick. That’s an interesting statement. Yes, Abram will be much cheaper than Cooper but Abram has yet to play a down. We don’t know if he can play on the NFL level yet, and he doesn’t play a position that is considered crucial to NFL success. He’s basically a box safety, Cooper is a wide receiver, so Abram would have to be pretty spectacular to beat out the value of Cooper even given the disparity in contracts. The bang-for-buck theory makes sense in the abstract DeMarcus Ware Jersey 2019 , but the Cowboys were a different team once Cooper showed up. I doubt Abram would be able to do the same.Next up, some real Trysten Hill love.Higher than Christian Wilkins? I heard that said on draft night, but wasn’t sure if I believed it. Guess one NFL GM did say that, for what it’s worth. But there were detractors, too. After another GM praised Amari Cooper, he noted the versatility of Tony Pollard. The Cowboys would certainly be wise to see if Pollard could also return punts, since that is still very much part of the game. But again, when we talk about Pollard’s versatility, we must always talk about Kellen Moore Cheap Jeff Heath Youth Jersey , the man who needs to make the most of it in the “new” offense. In 2018 the Dallas Cowboys went 10-6, were NFC East champions, and won a playoff game. The hope is that they’ll improve upon that performance, but you just never know.Peter King of NBC Sports took a stab at identifying who teams are as the summer begins to roll around. On the latest edition of his Football Morning in America he power ranked all 32 teams White Tony Romo Jersey , and you might be surprised to see where the Cowboys landed - 16th.16th is right in the middle of the road as far as the league is concerned, literally barely in the top half. The Cowboys were a legitimate team last season and King himself notes that Travis Frederick is expected to return and that should help the team, how are they still so average if that’s the case?King put four teams that didn’t make the playoffs last season ahead of the Cowboys, and they are all expected to get some sort of returning talent as well: San Francisco 49ers (7th)Minnesota Vikings (10th)Cleveland Browns (11th)Green Bay Packers (14th)The hype around Cleveland is unstoppable this offseason as they’re expected to take the next step with Odell Beckham Jr. now on their roster. San Francisco will get Jimmy Garoppolo back and the Packers have a new head coach. Still, how they some be so far ahead of the Cowboys is a bit hard to understand. What do you think? Obviously a lot of us are expecting the Cowboys to make considerable progress in 2019, Jerry and Stephen Jones surely hope that’s the case, but perhaps the national narrative is that they won’t. Make your case.

Darius Philon, DT, Los Angeles ChargersPhoto by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty ImagesOriginally a 2015 6th round pick out of Arkansas, Darius Philon emerged as a solid starter for the Chargers last season, recording 33 tackles, 4.0 sacks, and a forced fumble in 16 games (13 starts). The 6’1”, 300 pound defensive lineman flashed impressive interior pass rush push in his first season as a regular starter for the Bolts defense and could be a potential diamond in the rough for any suitor in free agency:Per Pro Football Focus (subscription) Adam Vinatieri Jersey Stitched , Philon was their 72nd best rated interior defensive lineman with a +67.8 grade overall, but that may not paint the entire picture of his effectiveness. For perspective, here’s one of Philon’s sacks from last season:Stilly only 25 years old, there seems like there could be a bit of “Denico Autry” to Philon’s game, as a young defensive lineman who simply hasn’t quite come into his own fully yet and might just need a new change of scenery to get there. 6. Bashaud Breeland, CB, Green Bay PackersPhoto by Dylan Buell/Getty ImagesThe 2014 4th round pick of the Washington Redskins saw last year’s free agency derailed because of a lingering foot injury—but still had interest among NFL suitors, including the Colts. Once fully healed, Bashaud Breeland signed with the Green Bay Packers in late September of last year and eventually recorded 20 tackles, 4 passes defensed, and 2 interceptions (1 for a touchdown) in 7 games (5 starts). Breeland isn’t the best player at his position in free agency, as fellow cornerbacks like Ronald Darby, Bradley Roby, and even the Colts very own Pierre Desir are all arguably better, but unlike his free agent peers, he could come at a significant discount. For a Colts front office that appears willing to let Desir “test his market”, Breeland may not be a bad consolation price without having to spend $10M+ annually on a new starting cornerback. Still only 27 years old and with his foot injury fully behind him, Breeland could be poised to be a nice bounceback candidate at cornerback. 5. Deone Bucannon Youth Anthony Castonzo Jersey , LB, Arizona CardinalsPhoto by Christian Petersen/Getty ImagesHaving been selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 1st round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Deonne Bucannon saw immediate success in the desert as a PFWA All-Rookie Team member before falling out of favor the past few seasons—and subsequently, onto the trade block. He’s coming off a season for the Cardinals in which he had 38 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in 13 games (6 starts). At one point, at an undersized 6’1”, 211 pounds, Bucannon looked like the modern prototype at linebacker with his ability to help cover spread offenses and make plays all over the field—as a defender who oftentimes, looks more safety than linebacker. However, with a new coaching regime, Bucannon was eventually phased out in Arizona. The former first rounder still has a lot of natural ability and could be similar to other first round reclamation projects that Ballard has taken a chance on—including former Colt Barkevious Mingo and current Pro Bowl tight end Eric Ebron. The only question is, can Bucannon regain his earlier career form or is he closer now to the player that struggled in coverage and in run defense when trying to play/learn a new defensive scheme over the past few seasons? As Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce showed in the playoffs, the Colts could use another linebacker/safety hybrid who can hold up in coverage over the middle of the field. While some fans are rightfully high on 2nd-year linebacker Matthew Adams, there could still be a starting spot up for grabs next to Darius Leonard and Anthony Walker going forward.4. Shaquil Barrett, DE, Denver BroncosPhoto by Jonathan Bachman/Getty ImagesSigned as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado in 2014, Shaquil Barrett has emerged as an effective situational pass rusher during his tenure in Denver—bringing a lift off the Broncos bench. The 6’2” Anthony Castonzo Jersey Stitched , 250 pound defensive end is fresh off a season where he recorded 28 tackles, 3.0 sacks, and a pass defensed in 13 games. He was playing in the Broncos pass rushing rotation behind the likes of Von Miller and first rounder Bradley Chubb last season. Per Pro Football Focus (subscription), he was their 22nd best rated edge defender with a +75.9 grade—including a +72.5 pass rushing grade. Having had only 38 team sacks last season—which was only the 19th most in the league, the Colts could certainly use more pass rushing help. Barrett is only 26 years old, and while he won’t be confused as an “alpha dog” pass rusher anytime soon, he’s the type of young pass rusher who could contribute 7-10 sacks per season for the foreseeable future in a more regular role—and no one should be surprised. 3. Adrian Phillips, S, Los Angeles ChargersPhoto by Rob Carr/Getty ImagesSigned as an undrafted free agent out of Texas in 2014, Adrian Phillips has quickly gone from special teams standout to 2018 Pro Bowler. The 5’11”, 210 pound hybrid safety recorded 94 tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception in 16 games (7 starts) for the Chargers defense last season. He’s a bit similar to Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl safety Micah Hyde, who got his start on special teams, but is a “Swiss Army Knife” at safety who can do a lot of things well. With Clayton Geathers as a free agent, the Colts could be in the market for safety help, and the team could look to add a hybrid type regardless—as Travis Kelce tore their secondary apart in the playoffs as mentioned. Asking Phillips to be a “Kelce stopper” would be simply unfair, but with his versatility and highly regarded locker room presence Youth Justin Houston Jersey , he could be a nice addition to the backend of the Colts secondary and special teams. 2. Chris Conley, WR, Kansas City ChiefsPhoto by Kevork Djansezian/Getty ImagesThe former 2015 3rd round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs could never quite get fully going under head coach Andy Reid, but is blessed with impressive physical tools at 6’3”, 205 pounds—having run a blistering fast 4.35 forty time and posted a vertical jump of 45.0 inches at the NFL Combine 5 years ago. In 2018, Conley had 32 receptions for 334 receiving yards (10.4 ypr avg.) and 5 touchdown receptions in 16 games (13 starts). Of course, Chris Ballard should be all too familiar with Conley, as he previously served as the Kansas City Chiefs Director of Football Operations in 2015 when he was drafted. For the record, I can’t see Ballard committing big years and dollars to Conley, but if he gets into a 1-year, Ryan Grant “prove it” territory on a new deal, he’d make a lot of sense for the Colts as a potential athletic flyer. Only 26 years old, Conley has the type of big body and deep speed that would theoretically be a perfect complement to star wide receiver T.Y. Hilton—that is, if he can finally fulfill his unreached potential. The young wideout has to improve his overall consistency. 1. Ronald Darby, CB, Philadelphia Eagles James Lang-USA TODAY SportsOkay, one could easily make the case that Ronald Darby doesn’t belong on this list at all as arguably the best cornerback option in this year’s free agent market. However, he’s coming off a torn ACL Justin Houston Jersey Stitched , isn’t a household name, and if nothing else, this provides me a perfectly good excuse to write about him. As a former 2015 2nd round pick of the Buffalo Bills, the 5’11”, 193 pound cornerback has quietly emerged as one of the better young cornerbacks in football—when healthy. He recorded 43 tackles, 12 passes defensed, and an interception last season in 9 starts before a season-ending torn ACL derailed yet another productive season. Per Pro Football Focus, Darby was their 39th best rated cornerback before the injury with a +70.6 grade overall. The advanced grades web site notes that since entering the league, Darby has forced 50 incompletions, which ranks 12th among all cornerbacks with at least 100 targets over that span. The Philadelphia Eagles want him back, and it’s being speculated that the 25 year old cornerback could command at least $12M annually on his next deal. As mentioned, the Colts have their own financial decisions to make regarding fellow free agent cornerback Pierre Desir. However, Darby is arguably the better talent, and the Colts might make the more prudent decision of investing in the slightly younger cornerback, Darby—if push comes to shove on a lucrative multi-year deal.

Alvin Kamara Jersey Stitched

The Cowboys looked like the better team Thursday night. They looked nothing like the team that started 3-5 Alvin Kamara Jersey Stitched , with Jason Garrett’s head on the chopping block.Owner Jerry Jones said the Cowboys aren’t the same team: They aren’t the same team they were at 3-5, and they aren’t even the same team they were before the 13-10 victory over the Saints.“This bunch, this team won鈥檛 be the same again,” Jones said. “I鈥檓 serious. You win something like this against a team that well-coached, those kind of players, a caliber of team like that, and you know you鈥檝e done it; the mirror knows you鈥檝e done it. You change. This is a changer in here. These guys, they鈥檙e different cats now as they go forward.”No one likely looks at the Cowboys the same now.The outcome reminded many veteran Cowboys’ observers of 2009.The Saints had won 10 games in row before losing to the Cowboys on Thursday. In 2009, the Cowboys beat the then-13-0 Saints 24-17 Youth Alex Anzalone Jersey , which started a three-game winning streak to end the regular season. Dallas won the NFC East and beat the Eagles in a wild-card playoff game.“Well, I was of course thinking about the 鈥?9 game before we played this game and knew that it鈥檚 possible to have a team that becomes better if they win a big game,” Jones said. “Certainly, that made us a better team to win that game in New Orleans for the ensuing games and for the year. Make no mistake, this game made us better. . . . We鈥檙e a better team having come out of here [with a win].” Zane Gonzalez got kicked straight to the curb. The Browns released the wayward kicker on Monday after his four misses on Sunday in New Orleans cost Cleveland a possible first win since 2016 with a 21-18 loss to the Saints.Gonzalez has been replaced by rookie free agent Greg Joseph, one of several kickers to work out for the Browns following Sunday's kicking calamity. Joseph won't have much time to become acquainted with his new teammates as Cleveland hosts the New York Jets on Thursday night."Obviously, we have to find someone that can put the ball through the uprights," coach Hue Jackson said after Joseph signed. "We have had this situation happen now for a couple of weeks. We have to keep searching and keep looking."Joseph was with the Miami Dolphins during training camp and preseason, but he was beaten out for the starting job by Jason Sanders. The 24-year-old Joseph Alex Anzalone Jersey Stitched , who kicked for four seasons at Florida Atlantic, made 3 of 3 field-goal attempts in four exhibitions with Miami.Gonzalez's meltdown in the Superdome was the latest malfunction for the Browns, who have played well enough to be 2-0 but remain winless since Dec. 24, 2016.Gonzalez, who had a potential game-winning field goal blocked in OT in the season opener, misfired on two extra points and two field-goal attempts, including a 52-yarder in the final seconds — with owner Jimmy Haslam standing under the crossbar — that would have forced overtime on Sunday.Jackson confirmed a report that Gonzalez was dealing with a groin injury, but said he didn't know the player was hurt."That was not reported to me that Zane was hurt," Jackson said. "I did not know and nobody had ever reported to me from our medical department that Zane was hurt."Gonzalez did not appear on the team's injury report in the season's first two weeks. After his last kick sailed off course Youth Trey Hendrickson Jersey , Gonzalez sat alone hanging his head while sitting on the Browns' bench before being consoled by Saints kicker Wil Lutz."It's on me 100 percent. Can't blame it on nobody else," Gonzalez, a seventh-round pick in 2017, said afterward. "Sucks that we were so close to that win and it's been so long and just let everybody down."The Browns were out of timeouts when Gonzalez lined up for his ill-fated final kick with 8 seconds remaining. Jackson felt it was too risky to run another pass play to try and get him closer."We felt that it normally takes 10-12 seconds to pull that off to where we felt we would have a chance," he said. They (the Saints defense) moved out guarding the sideline as it was and then all kinds of things go through your mind. He has a job. The kicker's job is to make extra points and to make field goals."I think we played it as well as we could, but obviously, always a day after, you will think through a lot of different scenarios, but I thought we played it the best we could in real time yesterday."It was another painful loss for Jackson Trey Hendrickson Jersey Stitched , now 1-32-1 in two-plus seasons in Cleveland. There are no consolation prizes for coming close, and Jackson said losing when one element breaks down hurts as much if the Browns had been blown out."They all sting," he said. "There is not one that stings more than the other to be honest with you. These things are tough, but we are getting through it. It is a loss. It still counts as a loss, and we have got to get that righted."There was a time where we were not close so we are close. I feel good about the next hurdle for us — just go do it. That is what we have to do."

Youth Amari Cooper Jersey

When the Dallas Cowboys fired offensive line coach Paul Alexander Youth Amari Cooper Jersey , almost no one was disappointed besides possibly Paul Alexander and family. Once a strength, the Cowboys offensive line had fallen into mediocrity, capable of great play at times, then poor play at others. The inconsistency was maddening. Many blamed Alexander and his newfangled techniques of line play. Even Alexander recently noted that getting his techniques across to the Cowboys players was not exactly happening in the timely manner he would probably want, noting that some of the players “didn’t want to mess with it.”Some of the Cowboys offensive linemen admitted that now that Alexander is gone, they will likely go back to their old techniques, for the most part. While Zack Martin and La’el Collins took some of the responsibility for Alexander’s firing Amari Cooper Jersey Stitched , Tyron Smith didn’t want to go there. He was pretty dismissive of that idea, but noted that his play hasn’t been what it should. He’s just happy to see Hudson Houck back.Speaking of Colombo, the players were universal in their praise of their new coach. Again, there’s that idea of familiarity and going back to what they know. And what they knew in the past was being dominant. This will be an interesting case study of just how much an effect a position coach can have. Now that Kellen Moore has been named the Cowboys new offensive coordinator, everyone wonders just how different the offense will be without Scott Linehan. The Cowboys offense was a known-quantity under Linehan, so much so that the “known” part became an issue. The lack of creativity and a slavish devotion to how things had been done in the past left many to feel that the offense, as run by Linehan Youth Demarcus Lawrence Jersey , had become a relic from another time. Linehan had been in the game a long time, and he did things his way, for better or worse. Now the Cowboys are on the opposite end of the spectrum. After a short career as a backup quarterback, Kellen Moore finds himself as an offensive coordinator after just one year of coaching the quarterbacks. The contrast with Linehan’s experience is stark, but the Cowboys just may be hoping that works in their favor. Besides the creative mind that Moore supposedly possesses, his lack of experience could also mean a greater capacity to change and adapt as circumstances warrant. The Cowboys are planning on having Moore call the plays. That’s important, and Garrett seems to be hinting that during the game they will want to call things in a different way. Linehan had tendencies and tended to stick with them more than other play-callers. While important Demarcus Lawrence Jersey Stitched , calling plays is only three-hours of the week, and none of the offseason week. That is the time that the scheme/gameplan is built, and the hope is it will be built around the strength of the players, instead of trying to fit the players to the scheme. One of the major criticisms of Linehan was his seeming inability to build a gameplan that was formulated to Dak Prescott’s strengths. Whatever was the cause of that, one way to remedy it is to allow Prescott a bigger voice in the offense. Given that Prescott and Moore were players together at one point, and given that Moore lacks an entrenched way of doing things, Prescott should get more say.Whatever one thinks of Moore’s capabilities Youth Jason Witten Jersey , and whatever worries one has about his lack of experience, one thing this new arrangement should bring is fresh ideas. And not just fresh as in Moore’s fresh ideas, but fresh ideas in a sense that besides Jason Garrett, there is no established way of running the offense now. Gone will be the decades of experience and tendencies built up by Linehan that tended to mute creativity and evolution. Only Garrett could stifle the creativity by pushing back on anything that Moore/Prescott come up with, and it seems Jerry Jones has already indicated he won’t let that happen. That statement by Jones suggests that if anybody tries to stifle creativity, he will put a stop to it. We’ll have to see if all of this is followed through upon as we’ve heard bold pronouncements from the team before. Dak-friendly never really seem to happen this past season, so things don’t always change when a team says it will. But given Moore’s inexperience Jason Witten Jersey Stitched , and his unique relationship with Prescott, it’s a good bet this offense will look different. Let’s just hope that it’s better.

Clayton Geathers Jersey Stitched

Impact Plays: Colts vs Redskins week 2 film breakdown Each week Cheap Clayton Geathers Youth Jersey , I will look to break down two of the best or worst plays from the previous game, but I’ll need your help deciding what plays should be given a closer look as I hope to explain what happened in greater detail than the broadcasters can. Often you’ll hear “how did that guy get so open?” and I hope to be able to answer that question for Colts fans this season. This was truly a great week for Darius Leonard and he was the blowout winner of the impact plays poll, gaining 483 votes good for nearly 70% of all votes. Talk about a landslide. The second place finisher this week was T.Y. Hilton’s touchdown catch that was completely deserving of getting it’s own look, pulling in 11% of the vote. It is my stated goal to only breakdown two impact plays from the game, but I did say a random collection of Leonard plays so I will combine them and I’m going to focus more on what the rest of the defense is doing than on Leonard himself, we all saw what he could do, I want to know why he was able to do it. I’m also going to add a third play this week because, on a personal level, I want to breakdown a pitch play to Marlon Mack that, on game day, looked to have a really cool design. Strap in folks, it’s going to be exciting, we’re going to talk about some guards.First thing’s first, I’m going to start off with the Marlon Mack pitch play, it seems that only me and 17 other people wanted to see it so I’ll get it out of the way before I get to the stars of this week’s show. It’s 3rd and 2 on the Redskins 19 yard line. The Colts are up 7-3 and have put together a solid drive. This was the seventh play and the third run of the drive. On 3rd and 2 normally you think of hitting something up the gut, instead Frank Reich dials up this play:The first thing I noticed about this play is that T.Y. Hilton’s motion does absolutely nothing to the defense. The backside linebackers don’t even react, they stay home and play their responsibility but they aren’t worried about the jet sweep, at all. The second thing I noticed, the Redskins probably should have called a timeout. Ryan Kerrigan was lost. He had no idea where to be on the play and at the snap I believe he was roughly in the correct position but I have no way to actually know. The play itself is designed really well. Jack Doyle cracks (but it’s not really a crack back block because that’s illegal — we can’t have fun in football anymore) down on the edge defender. Both Le’Raven Clark and Quenton Nelson pull outside of the defender responsible for setting the edge and look to make a block in the open field. Nelson identifies the first defender that shows and gets hands on him to prevent the tackle. Clark does the same and takes a linebacker out of the play, meanwhile Ryan Kelly gets a good initial block on the nose tackle, ideally you would like to see him hold the block a little longer as his man was in on the tackle, but it’s tough to complain with such a well executed initial block. On the backside of the play we see Matt Slauson get his cardio in for the week Youth Clayton Geathers Jersey , through no fault of his own there wasn’t really anyone to block before the third level and as every smart safety in the NFL would do, he avoided engaging with the big right guard which kept him from making the play. Joe Haeg did a good enough job and Eric Ebron should never be counted on to block... yikes. All in all this was a really fun play, Mack does a good job of seeing his blocks develop and taking what’s there. I’ve seen some reports that Mack doesn’t have good vision, I don’t know that I agree with that, I think this play shows he is capable of seeing a hole develop and hitting it, I believe he is undisciplined and as a result inconsistent in this area of his game. Next we will take a look at Andrew Luck’s fourth quarter touchdown pass to T.Y. Hilton. This three yard score put the game away for our Colts and the people (that’s you) have spoken, they want to see the play design. At first I thought I was going to break everyone’s heart and declare this play a success due to blown coverage rather than brilliant play design, but it turns out I’m 99% sure the blown coverage was planned. This is a wonderfully designed play. Everything is designed to get Hilton open. When Nyheim Hines goes in motion he pulls the defensive back responsible for covering him down the line with him vacating that side of the field. Secondly, Ryan Grant runs a crossing route which is designed to pull defenders with him going in the opposite direction and possibly act as a pick, only the pick wasn’t needed. Why you might ask? Well, I will give you my best educated guess. The Colts came out in a bunch set to the left, Hilton, Chester Rogers and Jack Doyle are a difficult trio to cover in a bunch set at the goal line. To try and counter this, the Redskins appear to be pattern matching in the secondary. “Pattern matching” is a fancy way of saying the defensive backs are going to “switch” assignments based on which way the pass catchers run. Think of it like a pick in basketball, if the offense sets a pick, the defenders simply switch and cover the man who presents himself. I believe the Redskins were playing this style of coverage, which is a good option given the offensive alignment. The problem for the defense comes when Chester Rogers “trips” at the line of scrimmage and stumbles, clumsily into the legs of the defensive back lined directly across from him he is absolutely preventing him from making his switch as his responsibility would have been any route that came inside. Chester Rogers committed offensive pass interference that will never get called because apparently he’s spent some time at practice working on his “stumble” technique. Or it’s possible he actually did stumble, I choose to believe this was intentional. This truly is a masterful play design which resulted in easy points that closed out the game. This is the moment you’ve all, or at least seven out of ten of you, have been waiting for, I present to you (hopefully in a way that is unique from what Andrew Aziz brought you on Monday) Darius Leonard:This was Leonard’s first 3rd down stop of the day. The Redskins came out with five receivers and the Colts matched it with cover 1 (aka man-free). The Colts are in a pure man to man coverage with only Malik Hooker deep. They aren’t pattern matching Womens Andrew Luck Jersey , they aren’t doing anything cute, this is just one on one across the board. At the snap Pierre Desir gets beat by an inside crossing route. It would have been tough for him to cover the route given the formation. As a result Alex Smith sees an open receiver at about the same time Leonard does, Smith throws the ball and Leonard makes the stop four yards short of the first down. The Redskins motion running back Chris Thompson out wide and Desir goes with him, showing Alex Smith he will be working against zone coverage. At the snap of the ball Leonard shoots towards the throwing lane that the Thompson created before the snap. When Leonard sees that Smith is looking the other way he impressively is able to get back into coverage and has the awareness to feel the route that sat down behind him. This isn’t a common ability and the fact that he had the speed to go get in on the tackle is just icing on the cake that is this play. This tackle didn’t prevent a first down but this play in coverage is what impressed me on this one.If Darius Leonard proved nothing else he proved that he is a very good tackler. Leonard does take a false step here, but I get it, it’s a designed counter run. It’s essentially misdirection. Leonard is able to track the ball carrier, run and hit. He does a good job of wrapping Adrian Peterson up while backup arrived. Something I’ve noticed while re-watching the game, this Colts defensive line is stout. The run plays Leonard makes a big impact on he is largely unblocked and that is due to stellar play from the front four... Something I never thought I would type had you asked me in August. I’m breaking down this play because I’ve seen so many fans on the internet criticize the wrong player for doing things like Leonard does above. A lot of people will probably look at Leonard on this play and think that he failed because the ball carrier picked up 14 yards. But the thing is, Darius Leonard is playing winning football on this play. Everyone has a gap they’re responsible for. Leonard’s gap happens to be on the backside of this play, which is exactly where he goes. That gap is his home and if the running back were to cut back into his home, he’s ready to protect his house. This is how run defense works, if everyone fills their assigned gap, the other team will have nowhere to run. Leonard does the right thing on this play, he fills his gap and once the ball carrier is past the line of scrimmage he runs to make the tackle. This is exactly what he was supposed to do. Anthony Walker on the other hand was not playing winning football on this down. Instead he abandoned his gap responsibility because he saw the tight end block inside, where the Colts defensive tackles were busy controlling their gaps. Walker ran to a pile that the defensive line created instead of his assigned gap, where had he been, he would have had a chance to drop a first ballot hall of fame running back for a loss. Instead Darius Leonard had to make Anthony Walker’s tackle for him, 14 yards past the line of scrimmage. Final Thoughts From Week 2The Colts offense is in really, really good hands. For the first time I can remember we’re doing things that might be considered innovative and it’s only week two. The playbook is only going to grow from here and I predict, as long as the team stays relatively healthy the offense we see in week 15 is going to be nothing short of one of the top 3-5 in the league.I was as excited as anyone following Darius Leonard’s performance on Sunday. I mean how cool was it to see a Colts linebacker flying around, making plays and looking like a fluid athlete in space? Even though D’Qwell Jackson was the perfect linebacker in 1984, someone in the front office realized it’s 2018. Finally. I say that to say this Malik Hooker Jersey , Darius Leonard is probably going to end up being really good, but he’s not perfect. I saw a lot of tackles being made down field, which came for various reasons but the biggest concern I had was his inability to get off of blocks. If an offensive lineman got his hands on him, he lacked the ability to shed the block and make a play. Is this something that can be improved with time? Maybe. But in the meantime if the defensive line doesn’t continue to protect him like they did in Washington, we’re going to see a different, less productive Leonard, and even then, he’s still has a chance to be the best linebacker the Colts have had in space, maybe in the Indianapolis era. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsIndianapolis Colts fans were stuck in a fog for three seasons. It all started after the AFC Championship game on January 18, 2015 — a game that would later become known as Deflategate. Since the Colts were absolutely dismantled in Foxborough, things started to spiral out of control. The 2015 regular season would see Andrew Luck not only miss the first NFL game of his career in Week 4, due to what was reported as an injury to his throwing shoulder, it would be the first time Luck had to shutdown his season early after lacerating a kidney and partially tearing an abdominal muscle against the Denver Broncos in Week 9. Little did fans know at that time that the injury to Luck’s throwing shoulder would not properly heal. Knowing what we know now, it is astonishing that Luck was able to suit up for the entire 2016 season. He played through pain in his throwing shoulder for one of the most efficient seasons of his career. The Colts were still not able to make it into the playoffs but Luck did all he could have been expected to do, given the state of what was going on in his shoulder, to help the Colts get there.January 1, 2017 was the last time Colts fans would see their franchise quarterback play an NFL game until September 9, 2018. It was a difficult absence for fans but even more so for Andrew Luck. Luck had shoulder surgery in mid-January 2017. Most within the Colts organization Clayton Geathers Jersey Stitched , Luck included, thought he would be back by Week 1 for the 2017 season. However, he rushed his rehab. His shoulder did not heal properly. After a summer of questions, Luck was placed on the PUP list to start training camp but wastaken off prior to the regular season. He stayed positive. Luck practiced with the team for the first time in early October. However, there was a set-back. Luck kept pushing but something wasn’t right. A month later Luck was placed on IR, ending his season. People were starting to question whether Luck would ever play again.Luck spent much of the next two months in Europe seeking unspecified treatment for pain. No one heard much from him. No one knew what was happening with the shoulder of the quarterback meant to shoulder the load for the Colts franchise after taking over for the legend Peyton Manning. The questions continued. At the end of December, Luck returned to the Colts facility. He was cautiously optimistic he wouldn’t need another surgery. He was happy with where he was. He talked with Chris Ballard. They had a plan. Luck was going to stick with the plan and take his time. But the questions remained.Chuck Pagano was fired. Almost every coaching candidate wanted to know the same thing we all wanted to know, how is Luck? Every coach except Frank Reich. At that point, Luck confirmed he wasn’t throwing a football yet. The questions got louder.Luck started throwing again at the end of February. However, we found out later he wasn’t throwing a football. In late March, Chris Ballard said Luck will be eased into off-season team activities. But the question about Luck being back to his old self was still unsettled. In June, Luck finally started throwing “the Duke.” He was patient with his rehab and went about it the right way. His throwing motion was fixed. No longer was it compacted, placing extra pressure on the shoulder. But the question about how would Luck look against NFL defense still lingered? Luck ended up being fine. Actually, more than fine. He came on slowly in 2018. After a tough start of the season, he turned up the heat and had arguably the best year of his career on his way to becoming the Comeback Player of the Year. The road to this achievement was twenty long, arduous months in the making. Twenty months of strife and turmoil for Andrew Luck. Twenty months that made him stronger, better.Twenty months to finally answer the questions everyone was asking.Andrew Luck came back and he’s better than ever.
