Brown’s second career three-touchdown game highlighted the unique skills that made him the fastest player in NFL history to reach 700 receptions.

He leapt between two defenders in the first quarter to haul in a 41-yard rainbow from Roethlisberger. In the third he dropped a difficult pass between two Titans in the end zone but atoned minutes later when he jumped to pull in a 5-yard score.

Brown’s best grab of the night and probably the season came in the fourth quarter when he briefly pinned a Roethlisberger pass to his helmet before securing it for a 10-yard touchdown that put the game out of reach.

Rookie teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster dropped to his knees to bow to Brown, even though the sight of Brown making the unlikely likely has become commonplace.

”Greatness,” Martavis Bryant said of Brown. ”I mean, 84 is going to be 84 regardless of who he is going against or what he’s doing. He handles himself like that. He carries himself like that. He had a great game.”

Roethlisberger borrowed a line from a popular Bud Light beer commercial when microphones caught him yelling “Dilly Dilly” during his pre-snap cadence. LAS VEGAS (AP) The Washington Capitals have waited nearly 44 years to raise the Stanley Cup for the first time.

Their only remaining obstacles are some desert-dwelling misfits who refuse to wait for anything.

The expansion Vegas Golden Knights are just four wins away from an astounding championship when they host Alex Ovechkin’s long-striving Caps on Monday night to open a thoroughly improbable Stanley Cup Final.

Even the players from the NHL’s last two teams standing seemed a bit surprised by their achievements when they gathered Sunday in balmy 84-degree Nevada weather.

But the Rams’ defense simply couldn’t get off the field in the third quarter, whether due to missed tackles or clever play-calling by the Falcons.

Los Angeles trimmed the lead to 19-13 with 10:49 to play, but the Falcons made another drive highlighted by a beautiful 52-yard screen pass from a blitz-avoiding Bryant to Mohamed Sanu.

Jones then caught the sixth playoff TD pass of his career. Goff drove the Rams deep into Falcons territory, but LA turned it over on down at the Atlanta 5 with 2:05 to play. The Falcons stopped the Rams again on downs at midfield with 1:08 left.

Although the Falcons’ offense took a step back in production this season, Atlanta chipped away at the Rams’ defense throughout the Coliseum return of offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian Thomas Rawls Jersey Elite , who coached USC here until 2015.

Coach Jack Del Rio called the move a difficult decision and said that assistant head coach for defense John Pagano will take over as coordinator leading into this week’s home game against the Denver Broncos.

”I have the utmost respect for Ken as a person and as a coach, but I feel that moving John Pagano into the play-calling role will best utilize his wealth of experience,” Del Rio said in a statement. ”I appreciate Ken’s passion and commitment to the Raiders since coming aboard and wish him the best going forward.”

This marks the second coordinator change the Raiders have made since finishing last season 12-4 for the franchise’s first playoff berth since 2002. Del Rio fired offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave last offseason and replaced him with quarterbacks coach Todd Downing and now has let go of Norton.

Norton was on shaky ground even last year and the Raiders added Pagano to the staff in the offseason in hopes of reducing big plays and improving communication in the secondary.

There has been little improvement on the field as the Raiders (4-6) have been one of the league’s bigger disappointments after entering the season as a contender to challenge the New England Patriots in the AFC.

But Bryce Petty saw positives in his first start of the season as the New York Jets’ quarterback. And so did offensive coordinator John Morton.

Now, it’s all about progress as Petty prepares to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

”There was some good and there were things he needs to work on, but I thought he did a good job with the checks and things like that as far as run and pass and things,” Morton said Thursday. ”Obviously, watching the film, there (are) things he has to work on and get better with, and he will.”

Petty, filling in for the injured Josh McCown Authentic Freddie Freeman Jersey , went 19 of 39 for 179 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions in New York’s 31-19 loss at New Orleans.

The third-year quarterback struggled to connect with receivers at times, and not unexpectedly since McCown had taken just about all the first-team practice snaps all season.

The offense failed to capitalize on the Saints’ three turnovers , getting just a field goal out of them.

”There’s a lot of good things to take away from that game,” Petty said Wednesday. ”We moved the ball well at times. We have to do better in the red zone. We have to score points, especially when our defense gets three turnovers against that group. Like I said after the game, we have to score and make those field goals touchdowns. A lot of that is on me, just knowing and being aware of situations and being able to execute.

”Other than that, I felt really good. I felt really confident.”

The Jets appeared to play mostly conservative for much of the game with just two plays of 20 yards or more: a 38-yard pass to running back Elijah McGuire in the third quarter and a 24-yarder to receiver Chad Hansen in the fourth quarter.

”There were a couple of chances we could have had, but it just didn’t go that way Authentic Ron Santo Jersey ,” Morton said of not taking many vertical shots. ”I really thought we could run the ball, and we were pretty good running the ball. As far as getting the ball down the field, I probably need to have a couple more opportunities to see if we can make a play down the field, there’s no doubt about that.”

Second-year quarterback Christian Hackenberg is not expected to see any regular-season action this year, so Petty will likely get the start at New England in the finale on Dec. 31.

While the Jets are expected to target a quarterback in the draft with their first-round pick in April – or in free agency – Petty could leave a positive impression during these final two games.

”He’s a smart kid and he wants to please and he wants to do well and he’s been really working on that the last few days (putting in) extra time,” Morton said, adding that quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates has been working extensively with Petty.

”He just has to go play,” Morton added. ”Don’t think about everything, just go play.”

Rushed throws and footwork issues have been two of the areas Petty has tried to improve in the past several days – a continuation of the progress he has made since making his first four NFL starts late last season.

”That’s the process of it, the growing and understanding,” Petty said. ”I think that from last year Wholesale Kenny Young Jersey , those four starts that I had, to this year, I felt so much more calm and relaxed going into this game just because I knew what to expect and what was expected of me.

They are the kind of numbers that back up Mike Tomlin’s words back in July, when the Pittsburgh Steelers coach said as training camp opened that he felt the pieces are in place for his defense to be a ”dominant” group.

There’s another number, however, that is kind of in the way: nine. That’s the number of passing plays of 40 yards or more the AFC North leaders have allowed this season, including five in the past three weeks.

Only four clubs have allowed more. And only one of them – reeling Kansas City – has a winning record.

”I wish I could plug up those leaks if we could,” defensive coordinator Keith Butler said. ”We obviously don’t want to do that, give people big plays and stuff like that. We can’t afford to do that. We’re not going to win a world championship do that.”

And it’s a Super Bowl title – and only a Super Bowl title – that will serve as the metric on which the Steelers (9-2) will judge their season. Controlling the game for long stretches is nice.

Yet all the sacks and all the picks celebrated by a team selfie won’t matter if they’re interspersed by the occasional sprint to the end zone staring at the back of an opponent’s number.

Hundley later flipped a screen pass that running back Jamaal Williams turned into a 54-yard catch-and-run through a sea of bad angles and missed tackles that gave the Packers an early lead. Hundley struck again early in the third quarter, finding Davante Adams on a double move for a 55-yard score. Three Steelers had a chance to bring Adams down and whiffed.

Pittsburgh escaped anyway thanks to wide receiver Antonio Brown’s brilliance and four touchdown passes from Ben Roethlisberger. Yet getting bailed out by the offense is a formula they’d prefer to not have to rely on in January and … they hope, February.

”If you beat us because you schemed us or whatever or you were just physically better on that play, that’s one thing,” cornerback Coty Sensabaugh said.

”We don’t want to beat ourselves and that’s what we’ve done the past couple weeks on some plays and some plays the offense will just make great plays.”

Tomlin likened his team’s issues to ”hiccups.” And they are Troy Apke Jersey Elite , at least for now.

”It’s putting us in positions where we could lose games so those things like I mentioned after the game have to happen,” Tomlin said. ”They have to disappear yesterday. It’s not one particular guy, it’s popcorn. It’s happening here and there and different circumstances and situations.”

Tomlin thinks coaching will help. So would trying to make a routine tackle instead of trying to, as Butler put it, ”knock the crap out of guys.”
