The Patriots scored 43 points last night Cheap Danny Shelton Jersey , have put 119 on the board the last three weeks, and are riding a three-game winning streak after knocking off the undefeated Chiefs. And Tom Brady thinks they can get better.During his weekly paid appearance on WEEI, Brady expressed confidence that his offense was still a work in progress.“I think we’re starting to feel confident in what we can achieve really if we put it together for four quarters,” Brady said, via Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston. “I think it’s going to look great. We had 38, 38 and 43. And I think we all feel like there’s plays still out there and we’re still getting familiar with one another. If we can just keep grinding and keep practicing and keep making improvements, it’s tough to stop us. That’s a good feeling.”Of particular interest to Brady is his developing relationship with wide receiver Josh Gordon Cheap James White Jersey , who caught five passes for 42 yards, but left the game briefly after going down hard in the end zone on an attempted deep ball. He still played 63 snaps, as he gets accustomed to his new home.“I think if we keep working at it,” Brady said, “a lot of things are going to look better. I have a lot of confidence in him. . . .“For him to be in there as many plays [as he was], in my view is so impressive . . . I think the best is ahead of us if we just keep working at it.”While it’s hard to imagine them improving on their recent output, a number of factors (including the improvement of rookie running back Sony Michel) has put their offense on a new trajectory from their 1-2 start. When the going gets tough Cheap Deatrich Wise Jr. Jersey , Tom Brady goes to Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots tight end had only three catches against the Chiefs on Sunday night, but he had big gains on each of the team's final two drives to help New England beat previously undefeated Kansas City 43-40.Gronkowski had a 42-yard catch and run to start a drive with under four minutes left that helped set up a Stephen Gostkowski field goal. Then, after Patrick Mahomes connected with Tyreek Hill on a 75-yard touchdown, Brady found the big tight end for 39 yards to the Kansas City 9.Gostkowski ended it with a 28-yard chip shot."We kept fighting. We stayed strong," Gronkowski said Monday. "It was a great night, a great football game."A five-time Super Bowl champion and three-time NFL MVP, Brady has had no trouble finding receivers in his 18-year career. But Gronkowski is one of his favorites Cheap Dont'a Hightower Jersey , including 76 TD passes from the Patriots quarterback — nearly twice as many as the next most prolific Brady target."He made a big play. He's been making a lot of those his career," Brady said. "I'll keep throwing to him in the biggest moments."Gronkowski had one catch in the first quarter and then wasn't targeted again until the fourth as the Chiefs double-covered him for much of the game. But on first and 10 from their own 21 with 3:50 to play, Brady hit Gronkowski for 42 yards to set up a 50-yard field goal that made it 40-33.After Mahomes and Hill tied it, Brady dropped back from the Chiefs 48 and saw his 6-foot-6 tight end running one-on-one with cornerback Josh Shaw. He lofted a long pass into Gronkowski's arms; it took Shaw another 15 yards to bring him down."It was a really good throw," said Patriots receiver Chris Hogan, who had catches of 42 and 19 yards on back-to-back plays during the Patriots' last touchdown drive. "I knew that with Rob being there, he had a really good chance at getting the ball. He ran a great route and set the offense up for a game-winning field goal."With three catches for 97 yards Cheap Rob Gronkowski Jersey , Gronkowski finished the game with 500 career receptions — just the NFL's 15th tight end to reach the milestone. He did it in 108 games, the fourth-fastest in league history; he also hit the 7,500 yards receiving mark, the eighth tight end to do so."They just made plays when it came down to it. The quarterback is a damn good player. The tight end is a damn good player," Chiefs cornerback Orlando Scandrick said. "Those guys have been with each other a long time and you can see it. You can see the non-verbal communication. They just made more plays than us tonight. I tip my hat to Tom Brady. I tip my hat to Rob Gronkowski. I tip my hat to Julian Edelman, the whole Patriots football team."

The Los Angeles Chargers had every reason to be susceptible to a trap game against Cincinnati. The Chargers were coming off an emotional Philip Rivers Jersey , come-from-behind victory against Pittsburgh last Sunday and a key AFC West showdown at Kansas City was fast approaching.Sunday's 26-21 victory over the Bengals was not one of Los Angeles' best-played games of the season, but it does improve the record to 10-3 going into Thursday night's game against the 11-2 Chiefs for the division lead."Everyone wanted to talk about Pittsburgh and if it wasn't Pittsburgh then it was Kansas City. This team was dangerous and we got out of there with a win," Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said. The Chargers scored touchdowns on their first two drives and then got four field goals from Michael Badgley 鈥?including a team-record 59-yarder 鈥?to deal the Bengals (5-8) their fifth straight loss."We did enough to win. Shoot, they all count the same. We found a way to win, in a different way," said Philip Rivers, who was 19 of 29 for 220 yards and a touchdown. The Chargers had 160 yards of offense on their first two drives 鈥?which ended in a Keenan Allen 14-yard TD catch and 5-yard score by Austin Ekeler 鈥?but had 128 the remainder of the game. Three of the last eight drives started at or inside the Chargers 7.Ekeler rushed for 66 yards on 15 carries with Melvin Gordon missing his second straight game due to a knee injury. Allen had five receptions for 78 yards and has a touchdown in five straight games."Sometimes you just have to play complementary football. Defensively we stopped them when we needed to," Lynn said. "Offensively we started out, but then slowed down and kicked field goals the rest of the day."Cincinnati had good field position for most of the day with an average drive start of its 35. Joe Mixon had 111 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown. Jeff Driskel http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-desmond-king-jersey , who was making his second straight start since Andy Dalton's season-ending thumb injury, was 18 of 27 for 170 yards and a touchdown."The decisions I made today didn't work out. We didn't get to make the break. This or that decision put us in situations, whether it's fourth down and we've got to make the stop, the 2-point (conversion) and so forth, those things today, we didn't get to make the breaks," Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said.Cincinnati got within two points at 14-12 late in the first half on a pair of field goal by Bullock 鈥?one came after an apparent TD run by Driskel was overturned by replay 鈥?and Driskel's 5-yard TD pass to John Ross (the 2-point attempt was no good). The Chargers, though, would take a 17-12 lead when Badgley made his 59-yard field goal on the final play of the first half. The Chargers led 23-15 late in the fourth quarter when Mixon scored from a yard out. The 2-point attempt http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-mike-pouncey-jersey , which would have tied the game, failed when Driskel was sacked by Darius Philon.BIG OVERTURNDriskel appeared to score a touchdown with about five minutes remaining in the second quarter on a 1-yard scramble that would have brought the Bengals within four, but replay overturned it saying he was short of the goal line.In the past, quarterbacks were safe to go head-first and not be considered to be giving himself up, but that was changed this season."He dove forward to the goal line and as soon as his knee hit the ground, he was ruled to have given himself up. The ball was short of the goal line," referee John Hussey said after the game. The overturn meant the ball was spotted inches short of the goal line and brought up fourth-and-goal. Bengals guard Alex Redmond was then called for a false start and Cincinnati had to settle for a Bullock 23-yard field goal that cut the Chargers' margin to 14-6.BIG LEG BADGLEYBadgley, who had the winning field goal last Sunday at Pittsburgh, now has the longest field goal in Chargers history. The Chargers attempted a Hail Mary with a second remaining Youth Kyzir White Jersey , which resulted in Rivers being sacked, but Bengals defensive end Jordan Willis was called for a false start, which brought out Badgley, who said he was very confident about making it."You got to go out there with that kind of confidence. If you're going out there thinking you're going to miss it you probably shouldn't be kicking it," said Badgley, who is 14 of 15 on field goals since joining the Chargers last month. "But going out there, it was a way for us to steal momentum from them at the end of the half, go into the second half with more points. It was definitely good for us to get those points at the end of the half."The former team record was a 57-yarder by Nate Kaeding at Tampa Bay on Dec. 21, 2008.UP NEXTBengals: Host Oakland next Sunday before concluding the season with two straight road games.Chargers: Travel to Kansas City on Thursday night in a matchup of two of the top teams in the AFC.Follow Joe Reedy at joereedyAguayo http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-derwin-james-jersey , Sturgis Battle It Out In Heated Kicking Competition Head coach Anthony Lynn finally broke out the field goal unit for the first time in training camp and both kickers put on a middle-of-the-road performance with neither gaining any seperation from the other.Caleb Sturgis made four of his six attempts while both misses came from under 40 yards. Robert Aquayo made five of his six with a long of 50 yards. His lone miss was also from under 40 yards away.As much as the fan base wants a kicker who is automatic from anywhere under 50 yards, those players are few and far in-between with the majority of them locked into long-term contracts across the league.Sturgis has increased his accuracy every year he has been in the league. After converting on 76.5% of his kicks in 2013, he most recently improved to 85.4% percent in 2016. Last year, he converted all three of his attempts before being shutdown for the season after suffering a left hip-flexor tear in the season opener.Aguayo failed to live up to the lofty expectations in Tampa Bay after he was drafted in the second-round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Once one of the most accurate kickers in college football history, Aguayo made just 71% of his kicks as a rookie. Prior to the 2017 regular season, Aguayo was let go after his rookie struggles continued into the preseason of his sophomore campaign. Clearance NFL Jerseys

Impact or Irrelevant: Predicted Rookie Impact on 2018 Team Success Won’t Likely Play A Role In Team SuccessOG/C Scott QuessenberryThe moments following the Quessenberry pick were filled with questioning looks and a good amount of head-scratching. Telesco and the staff just double-dipped on guards in 2017 and had just signed veteran center Mike Pouncey from the Miami Dolphins. At the time of the selection Youth Isaac Rochell Jersey , Telesco and his staff raved about Q-Berry’s versatility to play guard and center and how much that aspect of his game raised his value as a prospect. I understand this thinking, especially with the lack of sustained health along the offensive line in recent years, but Quessenberry is likely the third-strong center behind Pouncey and Pulley while also being behind Michael Schofield at guard depth.Unless there are a number injuries to the position group, the rookie out of UCLA will likely never see the field during the regular season.Might Play A Small Role In Team SuccessWR Dylan CantrellI was a big fan of the Cantrell selection. I vocally cheered at the pick while the staff and I were live for the draft show. This wasn’t because he was a big team-need or anything like that, but he was a draft crush and I really like the jump-ball/contested catch skills he displayed while at Texas Tech. I might actually go as far as to say he is who we wanted Mike Williams to be....Okay I won’t go that far but he is the type of receiver you can trust to come down with the ball when you just have to throw it up. Besides him being adept at contested catches, he make some outstanding, highlight reel-type catches that stem from some phenomenal body-control.In the crowded wide receiver room, there won’t be much room for Cantrell to see the field. Inside, however, is a different story. Hear me out. I would love to see the coaching staff put some weight on his chiseled frame and use him in a “move” tight end or H-Back role. He’s already a great run-blocker for his position and stands 6’4 and 225 pounds. It’s not that far out of the realm of possibility, but still unlikely.RB Justin JacksonThe selection of Jackson near the end of the draft may be dismissed as just a dart thrown at the big board, but this pick could pay huge dividends were Gordon to find himself sidelined by injury.Jackson is one of only nine players in Big Ten Conference history to run for over 1,000 yards in four consecutive season. That’s nothing to scoff at. When you pop on the film you can see a patient runner who knows how to use his blockers efficiently while maximizing his yardage on every run. The vast amount of starting experience is also a huge plus. Some popular fantasy analysts actually have Jackson as the more valuable handcuff to Gordon. Many think he would get the majority of carries if an injury occurred and I can definitely see it happening. Will Likely Play A Role In Team SuccessDT Justin JonesThroughout the draft process, I was a big fan of Justin Jones and his counterpart B.J. Hill in the interior of that North Carolina State defensive line. I had the opportunity to watch Jones down in Mobile at the Reese’s Senior Bowl and came away fairly impressed. Apparently Color Rush Kyzir White Jersey , so were the coaches and staff for the event as Jones took home the Practice Player of the Week award for the defensive linemen. It’s not entirely certain whether Jones will play the 1-tech or the penetrating 3-tech in Gus Bradley’s defense. He didn’t show much pass-rushing prowess during the season but showed a knack for winning one-on-ones on a consistent basis during the all-star showcase. If he wins the starting 3-tech spot while Liuget sits out for his 4-game suspension, and plays well at that, don’t be surprised to see Jones become a heavy rotation player at both interior positions.OLB/EDGE Uchenna NwosuThe second-round selection of Nwosu was another pick that seemed a little rich for my liking. I thought there were better overall players available at that point of the draft but, as I began to put his skill-set and the Charger’s scheme together, it started to become clear.Nwosu was chosen to provide competition for and possibly take over the OTTO role in the defense currently held by Kyle Emanuel. For those of you still unaware of this specific position in Gus Bradley’s defense, it is a hybrid position where you want a player to be able to handle run-stopping duties on early downs while being able rush the passer or drop into coverage horizontally. Nwosu proved he can be successful in both those aspects as a 6-foot-2, 251-pound EDGE rusher out of USC.Emanuel always leaned closer to a true 4-3 defensive end, especially in college when he spent the majority of his time with his hand in the dirt. It was evident whenever he was tasked with covering a running back out of the backfield, as well. Specifically during the games against the Chiefs over the last two years, Emanuel was caught chasing Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West over and over again as they would gain 8-10 yards every time they ran a route to the flat.Nwosu will look to erase that liability in coverage going forward as he’s a much stickier tackler and can better handle the dual-threat backs that are now the norm in the NFL.Will Play A Role In Team SuccessS/OLB Kyzir WhiteI was a MONSTER fan of the Kyzir White pick in the fourth-round from a draft-crush standpoint and from a value-standpoint. At the time, fans may have wondered why they just took another safety after we hit the jackpot with Derwin James in the first.I don’t believe White will be playing one of the traditional free or strong safety positions. As Lynn hinted right after the draft, he expects to put some weight on White’s 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame in order for him to play weakside linebacker in Nickel and Dime packages.Last year, safety Adrian Phillips was brought into the box in these packages in order to increase the speed and athleticism of the group. However Color Rush Philip Rivers Jersey , White will allow the defense to run the same packages (which we did the majority of the time) without sacrificing as much size and run-stopping ability. And if you haven’t see White’s film from his time at West Virginia, go give it a look. He might already be the stickiest tackler on the team.S Derwin JamesWhat should come as the least surprising ranking on this list, Derwin James is by far the most important rookie when it comes to his ability to affect team success in 2018. The Chargers’ first-round pick will step into the starting lineup opposite of Jahleel Addae and make his presence felt from week one. However, my first thought after imagining James and Addae on the field at the same time was, “Who is going to be the enforcer and who will be the guy playing single-high?” We all know that Addae does his best work up close to the line of scrimmage, but so does James. I think in the end, James will be the guy to use in single-high situations (his coverage skills were underrated through the draft process) but his versatility across the entire field of play can’t be underutilized if the team hopes to find its’ potential.I expect Addae to keep doing his thing that got him paid in the first place while Gus Bradley continues to work his magic, getting different player personnel packages ready to take advantage of James abilities in coverage and off the edge, while maximizing the talents of the deep defensive back group that the Bolts have amassed over the last several years. Will Play A PIVOTAL Role In Team SuccessThe Savior/OG FORREST LAMPPLOT TWIST: Forrest Lamp is actually the most important rooki- er, “first-year player” to the team’s success in 2018.Okay, okay, not really. But I couldn’t help myself. If there is any chance I can talk about Lampwhatsoever I am going to take it. The second-year player, first-year starter will still be an immense upgrade over Kenny Wiggins at the right guard position after the now-Detroit Lion led the league in pressures allowed at his position in 2017. With incumbent right tackle Joe Barksdale returning once again, Lamp gives me much more confidence in the right side of the line than in recent years. After allowing the fewest sacks (18) this past year Youth Austin Ekeler Jersey , most analysts predict some regression in that category. However, with the additions of Pouncey and Lamp, it’s not that far-fetched to predict a repeat performance in that regard with an uptick in the ground game, as well. How do you guys feel the rookies should be ranked? Who is too high? Too low? Let us know.J.J. Jones, Sam Tevi, and banging your head against the wall Hello friends, it’s your friendly neighborhood deputy manager here at BFTB and I’m here to answer YOUR questions about all things Chargers in advance of Sunday’s match-up against the Buffalo Bills.I want to keep the line of communication fairly open between the staff and those of you who give us your precious time on a weekly basis so a mailbag sounded like a splendid idea to fill this glaring omission. Not much to say other than that so let’s get right to your questions.(Long, audible sigh)This is going to be a rough couple of weeks if Joe Barksdale finds himself sidelined. So as to not be negative from start to finish, I have to give Tevi some kudos. He took his lumps against the Chiefs after being forced into the lineup. However, he also helped spring Melvin Gordon for his first chunk run of the game, showing some nice poise as he worked to the second level.Tevi is actually more athletic than Barksdale and it’s evident in how naturally he moves around the field. This doesn’t change the fact that he doesn’t have the normal fundamentals down pat that you would want in a starting offensive tackle. Tev is still so raw and we can only hope that reps with the starters will surely help him get up to speed.Do I think Forrest Lamp could step in and be a better right tackle than Tevi, or even Michael Schofield? Of course. Will that ever happen? Probably not. Coach Lynn and co. are still pretty predictable and there hasn’t been a word about Lamp potentially playing tackle since the days following his selection in last year’s draft.I honestly think the more realistic option would be to stick Lamp at right guard and have Schofield play right tackle since Schofield has some experience in that position going back to his time with the Broncos during their Super Bowl season.Oh hello Nick. Good to see you again. You know, I’m not entirely sure. Realistically, no Youth Darius Philon Jersey , I do not think Melvin Gordon is “bad” at his job, but I don’t think he’s as amazing as everyone expects him to be, either. There’s only been a handful of notable running backs in history to have averaged under four yards per carry during there career. The biggest nams actually being guys like Archie Griffin, Jerome Bettis, and Cadillac Williams. We can all agree or disagree on what Gordon is actually good or bad at all day long, but the numbers speak for themselves. Backs who average under 4.0 per carry are almost always of the forgotten variety sooner rather than later. If Gordon wants to prove Nick and the other nay-sayers wrong, he’s just going to have to show us on the field each and every week. After the team let us all down after allowing the Raiders to sign DT Johnathan Hankins, I honestly don’t see another free agent that would be of much value to the team in the here and now. Some websites have noted cornerback as a position the Chargers could use some FA help with, but that’s just not the case. Casey Hayward, Trevor Williams, and Desmond King will be just fine. Michael Davis seems to be coming along, as well.Defensive tackle was really the only position I was open to and that got teased in our face before being yanked away as we reached out for it.As much as we all got excited about Jones after his punt return touchdown in the preseason, myself included, the truth is that he is still a UDFA after coming from a division II school where he wasn’t really a game-breaker Youth Virgil Green Jersey , anyway. But if anything, it takes a special type of player to come into this team and not fall victim to “charger-ing” and I just don’t think Jones was ever going to avoid it. If he gets another shot against the Bills, then so be it. If there was ever a chance for him to get comfortable back there, this is the game to do it.My dream pick in the first round would be Jeffrey Simmons, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive tackle prospect from Mississippi State. In the episode of our Almost Gameday Saturday podcast, Matthew Stanley and I talked about Simmons and his ability to play almost anywhere along the defensive line while being equally skilled in rushing the passer and playing the run. He is also currently the highest-graded interior defensive linemen according to Pro Football Focus after the first two weeks of the college football season. No matter how you word it, the iDL is underwhelming and strikes no fear in the hearts of their opponents. The fastest way to the quarterback is a straight line and that means that the most devastating pressure is created up the middle, which is why players like Aaron Donald and Geno Atkins are out here getting paid the big bucks. ARLINGTON Connor Brown Jersey , Va. (AP) Capitals have tried to win in the playoffs, none has been as effective as this. They pushed the pace with speed and skill when Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom were part of the ”Young Guns.” They made every game a coin flip with tight, Dale Hunter hockey. Each time, an early exit followed. This year is different. Suddenly, the Capitals are a suffocating defensive team that clogs the middle of the ice and makes even the fastest of opponents look slow. The Vegas Golden Knights are the latest to get frustrated by Washington’s neutral-zone pressure that took a toll on Columbus, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay, paving the way for this run to the Stanley Cup Final. After cruising through three rounds with ease, nothing looks easy right now for Vegas because the Capitals have mastered the art of frustration, and are two wins away from hoisting the Cup for the first time.”Offensive teams have certain tendencies, certain routes that they take through the neutral zone, plays they like to make, so if you can be on top of them and turn over some pucks, stifle them Frederik Andersen Jersey , make it hard for them to gain entry with possession, that frustrates skilled players,” defenseman Matt Niskanen said Sunday. ”If you can be in their face, just standing in the way, it’s amazing what that does.”It’s amazing the transformation the Capitals have made since coach Barry Trotz challenged players late in the regular season to embrace this approach. It was clear as early as Game 4 of the first round that the 1-1-3 trap in the neutral zone had the ability to essentially shut down the opposing attack, and since the first two playoff games Washington is 10-2 when scoring first. The Golden Knights have found how difficult it is to try to come back against the Capitals and need to adjust quickly down 2-1 in the Cup Final going into Game 4 Monday night. They have to make some adjustments before it’s too late.”Our guys who have a lot of speed can go back deeper, gather some speed,” winger David Perron said. ”Then the defensemen can try to freeze the first forechecker, kick it wide. These guys coming with speed, if they’re confronted, which they will be most times at the blue line, you can put it in and go on the forecheck. You can have guys hang close to the right wing or up top, and as the puck is coming your way Womens Jake Gardiner Jersey , win the one-on-one battle with support. … We also have to try to not let them set up, so if there’s a turnover, a quick one, we can punt it up, go back on offense.”The Penguins and Lightning tried that and couldn’t crack the Capitals well enough to advance.”They’re really good at slowing you down,” Lightning forward J.T. Miller said during the Eastern Conference final. ”Right when you want to just chip it and go, there’s a guy, there’s a wall there, and guys are ready to go back and get it on the other side. … It’s just their ability to stand up and make you force plays because it looks like there’s more ice than there is, and then all of a sudden they do a good job of staying in front and retrieving pucks.”Vegas is built on speed, but it’s hard to harness it if players can’t get blue line to blue line with the puck to create any offense. When the Capitals took a lead in Game 3, they went into their now-patented scheme.”It’s just kind of a group mentality to make life difficult on them,” winger Tom Wilson said. ”I think that’s when we’re at our best as a team is when we’re playing physical Matt Bartkowski Jersey Womens , we’re taking away time and space, making it difficult on their top guys.”That difficulty wears on a team, and Trotz said it’s noticeable when an opponent tries to change its game and manage the puck differently to counterbalance the trap. When it works effectively, not only does it limit changes against, but it creates the kind of odd-man rushes that have paced Washington’s offense this postseason.”It’s important to recognize moments when you can pressure, and we don’t want to get away from that, where we can send two guys and try to force teams into mistakes,” Niskanen said. ”If you can hold either the red line or the blue line with layers of support, you can force teams into turnovers, and we’ve done a good job of that.”—More Stanley Cup coverage: https://apnews.com/tag/StanleyCupFinals— Talk about a controversial oil change. If the Edmonton Oilers have a shot at the NHL playoffs next spring, it'll have to be without Todd McLellan. The team dumped the coach, replacing him with Ken Hitchcock on Tuesday, just as the Oilers are preparing for a road swing in California. The firing took place as the Oilers struggle to play .500-level hockey. Their regular season record stands at聽9-10-1 Youth John Tavares Jersey , including losing two of their last games and six of their last seven matches. Hired in 2015, McLellan has helmed a team with loads of talent with the likes of Connor McDavid, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Leon Draisaitl on the ice, but has taken the Oilers to the playoffs only once. That was back in the spring of 2017, when the team made it to the second round of post-season play, only to lose to the Anaheim Ducks.advertising tsn.caDespite the team's lackluster performance of late, which has Edmonton sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference, McLellan leaves a team that statistically did better than they looked on the ice with a 123-119-24 regular season record under his watch. But his previous coaching stint with the San Jose, where he coached before his Edmonton hire, yielded better results including six playoff berths.Hitchcock, who retired this spring after a second coaching run with the Dallas Stars, although he's very familiar with the Oilers. The veteran of 22 seasons behind the bench was born in the city and was a constant burr in Edmonton's saddle, frequently beating them in the playoffs. In 1998 Nazem Kadri Jersey , Dallas swept the Oilers in four games on the road to the team's only Stanley Cup victory, which saw them dump the Buffalo Sabres at the NHL summit in six games. The veteran coach registered 800 lifetime NHL wins on Dec. 21, 2017 before announcing his retirement.advertisingRELATED: The Edmonton Oilers Rely Too Much On Connor McDavidHitchcock faces the task of directing a team with shaky goaltending, very little depth on the forward lines, a defence that can't carry the puck into opposition territory. Despite his credentials, Hitchcock is deeply versed in executing a physical, defensive-minded style of play, which may go against the grain of Edmonton's flashy, speedy offensive philosophy. How the Oilers make the adjustment to Hitchcock's tactics will be interesting in the 62 regular season games that remain.

Canadiens are leaving teams behind — and trying not to get too far ahead of themselves.Brendan Gallagher scored with 11 seconds left to give the Montreal Canadiens their third straight victory Jamie Benn Jersey , 3-2 over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night.“I’m not proud of anything because it’s only six games,” coach Claude Julien said. “I’m glad with the way things are going but there’s no reason to get carried away with where we are right now. There’s still lots to accomplish. I could be proud of a lot of things, but I prefer being humble in these situations where things can change quickly.”Max Domi and Mike Reilly each scored their first goal of the season to help Montreal improve to 4-1-1. Carey Price made 23 saves for his second victory of the season after missing two games because of the flu.Gallagher tipped a loose puck past goalie Jake Allen after jumping on a bad giveaway by defenseman Colton Parayko in front of the net.“You obviously don’t expect it,” Gallagher said. “You have to be in the right spot. I thought Tuna (Tatar) did a good job to create the turnover and fortunately enough it ended up where I didn’t do that much. I just had to chip it in.”From the corner of the ice, Parayko whiffed on a pass and the puck went right to Tomas Tatar, who poked it to Gallagher at the side of the net.“It’s obviously a tough play. I feel bad for Colton,” Blues coach Mike Yeo said. “But we’re not playing well enough to win hockey games. And when you do that, yeah, one play can be the difference. You don’t deserve to win if you only go out and play hard in the third period. We’re not playing 60 minutes.”Vince Dunn and Brayden Schenn scored for St. Louis, and Allen made 20 saves. The Blues dropped to 1-3-2.Just 39 seconds into the game, Domi put the home team in front with his first goal in a Canadiens uniform. SUNRISE, Fla. — The Florida Panthers hope to get on track on Saturday night against the visiting Vancouver Canucks. The Panthers (0-1-1) have only played two games — some rivals have played as many as five — so there’s a l-o-n-g way to go. But even so, the Panthers know they came up one point short of the playoffs last season, and these October games count just as much as the ones in February. The Panthers also know that their Hall of Fame goalie, Roberto Luongo, is out with a knee injury, likely for a month, and a lot is riding on backup James Reimer, who gave up five goals in Thursday’s 5-4 home loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.Article continues below ...“We win and lose as a team,” Panthers coach Bob Boughner said when asked about Reimer. “There’s no talking about goalies or individual play.”Coaches generally don’t talk about goalies only when they’re not happy with the performance. It’s possible that Boughner will start third-string goalie Michael Hutchinson, who has played 102 NHL games and was recalled from the American Hockey League once Luongo was injured.Meanwhile John Klingberg Jersey , the Canucks (2-2-0) traveled to Tampa Bay and beat the Lightning 4-1 on Thursday night. The score was tied midway through the third period, when Brock Boeser scored the winner.Vancouver figures to start former Panthers goalie Jacob Markstrom. However, it’s possible that Anders Nilsson, who made 33 saves to beat Tampa Bay in his first start of the year, gets the call in an effort to play the hot goalie. The Panthers will pay special attention to Canucks rookie Elias Pettersson, the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.Pettersson, who drives hard to the net, turns 20 next month, but scouts already rave about his “elite” playmaking ability and “exceptional” vision.Playing against men last season, he led the Swedish Hockey League with 56 points, scoring 24 goals and earning Rookie of the Year and Forward of the Year honors. He was also named the playoffs MVP, the first time the SHL has awarded that trophy unanimously. This season Womens Mattias Janmark Jersey , Pettersson leads Vancouver with four goals, including one on Thursday that bounced off his chest.“Very lucky, but I’ll take it,” said Pettersson, who also leads Vancouver with seven points. “Every goal is worth one. It doesn’t matter how ugly or nice it is.”The Panthers wouldn’t mind scoring some hideous goals — as long as they get a win.Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov’s first line — with Evgenii Dadonov and Nick Bjugstad on the wings — is clicking. On Thursday, Dadonov had one goal and two assists, Barkov had one of each, and Bjugstad had one goal.“Daddy, Barky and Bjuggy were flying,” Boughner said.Barkov and Dadonov are each averaging four shots on goal per game this season, and Bjugstad had four on Thursday.Barkov, however Radek Faksa Jersey , isn’t focused on the stats.“We scored a couple of goals, but we lost, so it doesn’t matter,” he said. “We’re playing really well in the offensive zone. But we need to learn how to block shots at the end — those small things that win games.”Florida’s power play is 0 of 7 in two games and has also allowed a short-handed goal.Meanwhile, Vancouver’s power play, which was the ninth-best unit in the NHL last season thanks in part to Bo Horvat’s lethal shot-making, has converted 26.7 percent of its chances so far this season. Horvat has two of Vancouver’s four power-play goals.Boughner is certainly wary of Canucks forwards such as Pettersson, Horvat, Boeser and Sven Baertschi.“Our special teams have to be better,” Boughner said. “It’s just a matter of execution and bearing down on our chances.”

Zdeno Chara signed a contract that will take him through his 42nd birthday Paul Thompson Jersey Womens , and he’s already anticipating the next one.”I believe, myself, that I’m going to be playing beyond this contract,” he said on Wednesday after agreeing to a one-year deal that will pay him at least $5 million.”No matter how long you want to continue to play, you have to perform. You have to back up your status,” he said. ”So I know I need to go out there every night and do my job, perform and play hard and work hard and be a great example for my teammates. (The) rest of it, it will fall into place.”A five-time All-Star who was the league’s best defenseman in 2009, Chara turned 41 this month but still leads the Bruins in time on ice with an average of 23 minutes per game. He has seven goals and 16 assists this season, his 20th in the NHL, and is the franchise’s third-leading scorer for a defenseman, behind Hall of Famers Ray Bourque and Bobby Orr.”He’s been a dominant player this year,” Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said. ”He takes all of the hard matchups still, doesn’t shy away from any situations and has embraced the role that he’s kind of emerged into. … He’s indicated that he wants to perform at a high, high level Troy Brouwer Jersey Womens , he expects to perform at a high level, and he’s backed that up.”Chara was in the final year of a seven-year, $45 million contract that reportedly paid him $4 million this year. His new deal guarantees him $5 million but also has incentives that could pay him $1.75 million more.”I will not be surprised if we’re sitting here (again),” Sweeney said, ”because he’s indicated he wants to continue to play.”Sweeney conceded that Chara had leverage if he went to the free agent market. But the 6-foot-9 Bruins captain said he wanted to stay in Boston and help develop young players such as Charlie McAvoy, Jake DeBrusk and Anders Bjork.”I believe in this team,” Chara said. ”It’s very exciting to be a part of this team. I think this team has a chance, and that’s all you can ask for. The rest of it is up to us to do on the ice. So, yeah, that was my priority, to stay in Boston, to be a Boston Bruin.”Sweeney said Chara’s influence isn’t just on the younger players.”It really is a ripple effect through our whole hockey club,” the GM said. ”Every player realizes the bar is set so high with a player that has accomplished as much as he has, yet he shows up every day. … At times, when we’re trying to get him off the ice http://www.officialavalanche.com/authentic-adidas-sven-andrighetto-jersey , he wants to be on it more. So, I think the example for excellence starts with Zdeno.”Chara played in the Bruins’ first 68 games this season before an unspecified injury that has sidelined him since March 13. Boston has also played without Patrice Bergeron, David Backes, Rick Nash, Torey Krug, McAvoy and DeBrusk this month, but is just one point behind the Tampa Bay Lightning for the best record in the Eastern Conference heading into Thursday night’s matchup.”I’m so proud of the team, and what the guys have been able to do with so many guys being out of the lineup,” Chara said. ”Just a great indication that this team has a never-give-up attitude and willing to fight till the last whistle.”— NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Pekka Rinne was beaten early, but never again.Ryan Ellis scored his first game-winning goal of the season, Rinne made 25 saves and the Nashville Predators defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-1 on Tuesday night.Austin Watson and Craig Smith also scored for Nashville, which halted a two-game skid.Zack Smith scored for Ottawa, which has lost four of five.Nashville improved its record against Eastern Conference opponents to 9-0-0 this season.“I thought tonight we were pretty good defensively for most of the game,” Predators coach Peter Laviolette said. “I liked the fact that we didn’t turn the puck over. Their neutral zone can be tough to get through. We did a good job of just playing a smart http://www.officialcanadiensprostore.com/authentic-adidas-phillip-danault-jersey , simple game.”Zack Smith scored the first goal on the game’s first shot 26 seconds into the opening period. Carrying the puck into the Nashville zone on the right side, Smith sent a backhand from the left faceoff dot by Rinne on the far side.“It’s a bad goal and you never want to start the game like that — it’s the first shot,” Rinne said. “It’s not the first time I’ve given up a soft goal. You just focus on making the next save, focus on the things you can control. Guys responded really well.”Watson tied it 1-all at 15:38 of the first. From the left boards, Mattias Ekholm sent a shot toward the Ottawa net. In the low slot, Watson tipped the puck high to the glove side of goaltender Craig Anderson for his sixth goal of the season.Prior to Ekholm releasing the puck, Watson tapped his stick on the ice to get the attention of the Swedish defenseman.“It was a great play by Ekky to get that back to the front of the net,” Watson said. “I’d kind of created a little space off the other side. Great look by him.”Anderson finished with 33 saves.Ottawa’s road record is 3-10-1.“I don’t think we played poorly, but I don’t think we played our best,” Senators forward Mark Stone said. “The road is a different beast. Teams come into our building, we play pretty well. We know that teams are solid on home ice. That’s the nature of the NHL. You have to have a good home record, but also you have to find a way to win on the road.”Ellis hooked up with defensive partner Roman Josi on a give-and-go at 9:01 of the second to give Nashville a 2-1 lead.At the right point, Ellis sent a pass to Josi on the right boards. From there, Josi tapped the puck back to Ellis skating through the slot, where he snapped a one-timer over Anderson’s left shoulder.Rinne made his best save in the final minute of the second period when he denied Brady Tkachuk’s attempt from just outside the Nashville crease.“Tkachuk gets it Womens Craig Smith Jersey , but it’s on his backhand and it’s fumbling and goes back the opposite way,” Ottawa coach Guy Boucher said. “It that one goes in, it’s 2-2, so again, it’s a different game.”Craig Smith made it 3-1 at 1:59 of the third when he skated into the Ottawa zone along the right boards. Near the goal line, he cut toward the net and slipped a backhand past Anderson inside the near post.NOTES: D Stefan Elliott played his first game with the Senators since being acquired from Pittsburgh in a Dec. 5 trade. … Nashville C Colton Sissons had an assist, extending his point streak to three games. … The Predators have defeated Ottawa five consecutive times in Nashville. … The Senators are 8-7-3 when scoring first this season. … One night ahead of their induction into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, Red Berenson, Natalie Darwitz, Paul Stewart and Predators general manager David Poile attended the game.UP NEXTSenators: At the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.Predators: Host the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.

Once again, a new entity is trying to fulfill that wish. In 1983, the United State Football League made a small splash, with teams like the Houston Gamblers, San Antonio Gunslingers, New Jersey Generals and L.A. Express.Players like Jim Kelly and Herschel Walker helped executives and owners like Bill Polian and Donald Trump carve out a niche in the history of pro football before collapsing under financial strain after the 1985 season. While many think of the USFL as a failed endeavor, the innovations brought to the field were almost entirely adopted by the NFL over time, including replay review, two-point conversions, the salary cap, and more. Roughly fifteen years later Houston Texans Hoodie , pro wrestling entrepreneur Vince McMahon, the guy who built the sports spectacle known as the World Wrestling Federation (now known as World Wrestling Entertainment) launched another professional football league, the XFL. While many viewed this new league as far less legitimate than the USFL, it did manage to make a small splash in the pro football world before folding after only one season. Recently, McMahon’s new Alpha Entertainment announced plans to revive the XFL for the 2020 season, returning to spring football and, possibly, debuting He Hate Me, Jr.(many may recall that the XFL allowed players to put whatever they wanted on their jersey name plates, resulting in Rod Smart using the notorious name “He Hate Me” and becoming one of the most famous players in XFL lore). Yet once again, it will be hard for a guy known for creating what many perceive as “fake” sports to put a legitimate product on the field that serious fans will take, well, seriously. Amidst all that noise, another group has quietly risen up, one full of legitimate names, faces and legacies, including the aforementioned Bill Polian. The Alliance of American Football recently announced its inaugural eight teams Customized Houston Texans Jerseys , including Alliance San Antonio, as well as teams in Atlanta, San Diego, Phoenix, Memphis, Birmingham, Orlando and Salt Lake City. When I first stumbled across the press release announcing the San Antonio team, I was mildly curious. Once I realized who was running this new endeavor, it sort of forced me to take it a little more seriously. The who’s who of AAF leadership reads like a Pro football Hall of Fame induction class: Charlie Ebersol (son of Dick Ebersol and co-founder of the league with Polian), Troy Polamalu (Head of Player Relations), Jared Allen (Player Relations Executive), Hines Ward (Player Relations Executive) and Justin Tuck (Player Engagement Advisor) to name a few. After that, the coaching roster for the eight teams reads like a list of folks the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets should have already hired to teach their teams based on recent (lack of) success. Names like Steve Spurrier, Mike Singletary, Brad Childress, Rick Neuheisel www.texansauthorizedshops.com , Dennis Erickson, and Mike Martz should ensure these teams are all coached by highly competent staffs. While I found that involvement intriguing, seeing that all the teams are owned by the league itself, just like the XFL, seemed like a solid (yet boring) way to control the product. As of right now, the uniforms on display on the website are all very generic, simply mixing a variety of different color combinations and slapping the same AAF logo on every helmet. Since the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL have all proven that selling merchandise is a huge revenue stream, the AAF would be well advised to give the teams more of a unique, regional identity fans can embrace. Much like their current appearance, the team names are also generic and lack any sense of creativity:Alliance San Antonio, Alliance Orlando, Alliance Phoenix, etc. Hardly the sort of thing that’s going to spur the types of passion we see when the Texans and Patriots or Raiders and Broncos clash. Hopefully there’s a plan to give the teams more flair to help fans connect on a more personal level. I’m sure there are actual research studies proving how the distinct identities of sports franchises raises the buy-in from the fanbase, but that’s a topic for another day. The AAF will also bring innovations like the USFL and XFL Houston Texans Womens T-Shirt , but things that seem more geared to what actual NFL fans want to see from pro ball, not what wrestling entertainment fans want from football. Rosters of 50 players each primarily picked through a regional draft, with each team “owning” the region around their home city. No TV timeouts to slow down the action.Only 40% of the commercials NFL games currently force us to endure. No kickoffs No onside kicks (obviously), opting to allow the trailing team to start on their own 35-yard line with 4th and 10, instead of four guaranteed downs. 30-second play clock No point after touchdown kicks; each team must go for two every time. With a fresh take, featuring heavy fan interaction, steaming broadcasts, more modern ways to keep the fans plugged in, and a CBS TV contract that’ll televise one game a week for the full twelve-week season, the AAF seems to be much more than just the latest NFL competitor destined to crumble shortly after launch.Based on the information available, the AAF certainly seems to be closer to the USFL than the XFL in terms of having a successful path ahead. But it’s a long road from here to being anywhere near the AFL, the only real competitor to take on the NFL and truly hold its own. If nothing else, the AAF and XFL give us something marginally more interesting than the latest “hawt take” from the mainstream NFL talking heads or yet another mindless NFL Channel Top Ten list show. Will you give either of these startup leagues a chance?

The game is still enjoyable poe currency but I refuse to play a game which gimps my money, bank, stock slots, etc and basically forces me to pay a sub for a so called"free to play" game in order to have a hassle free experience. Not to mention, the more loot boxes which reward you with items that provide you accomplishment points for fashion collections, which are used to create your toon stronger... I played this game for 7 decades straight from the start, the way that they nickle and dime that the players is disgusting and its a pity, because at it's heart DC Universe Online is one of the greatest mmos around. ?

m is out of the playoffs? New York Giants coach Pat Shurmur isn’t buying that idea. “I don’t believe that Jon Halapio Color Rush Jersey ,” he said this week.“I think what’s important is that we as a team do everything we can to go out there and play the game and try to win the game. Running parallel with all the thoughts moving forward in the offseason is this team trying to learn how to win again. And again, I’m speaking as the coach, where we’re doing everything in our power to put a plan together to win the game.”BBV Radio — ‘Dwayne Haskins or bust’Can the 5-9 Giants do that today against an Indianapolis Colts team that is 8-6, in the AFC playoff race and has won seven of eight? This week, though, we have a number of quality New York Giants-related questions. So, let’s open up the mailbag and get down to business.Jason Lyn asks: How would you fix the QB situation if you were in (Dave) Gettleman’s position? I would explore a young veteran a la Kerry Collins route and use the draft to fix the trenches and edge rushers. Who is the veteran QB? Bridgewater.Ed says: Jason, thanks for the question. This one was asked in a number of ways by a number of different people, so to anyone who asked a version of the “quarterback” question, here are my thoughts. The way that the Giants offense has played recently, with the team averaging 31.4 points per game since the bye (and I know there were a couple of defensive touchdowns in there) and Eli Manning playing effectively, I’m operating right now with the belief that Manning will be back under center for the Giants next season. Unless he retires. If they can help it I believe the Giants would rather not change to another veteran “placeholder” type quarterback in 2019, then change again to a young, highly-drafted quarterback in 2020. Before the season started I thought there was no way the Giants could bring Manning back if they didn’t reach the playoffs. Now? If it’s my decision Kerry Wynn Color Rush Jersey , seeing what I see right now, I bring him back for 2019. I would also, though, take some serious steps toward setting the Replacement Plan in motion.I’m not bringing in Teddy Bridgewater or Tyrod Taylor or one of those guys. You pretty much toss away half the season while they learn the offense. I’m just staying with the veteran I already have. Before the draft I’m scouring the league for a young, talented backup quarterback whose path is blocked by a star or highly-paid player in front of him. The names that jump to mind are Kyle Sloter with the Minnesota Vikings and Nate Sudfeld with the Philadelphia Eagles. If you can get a player like that for a song — like a seventh-round pick — why not? Bring him in, let him compete with Kyle Lauletta, get enough information to see if you believe you could go forward with one of them eventually replacing Manning. In the draft, I’m not using a top 10 pick on a quarterback. Quarterbacks get overdrafted and the good ones don’t need to sit around and caddy for a year. They can play almost immediately. I had one scout I trust tell me there isn’t a single quarterback in the 2019 class worth a first-round pick. I really don’t want to use a top 10 pick on a questionable talent who isn’t going to play.I’m using my first-round pick on either the best offensive tackle or best defensive player available. If a quarterback I think has a chance, like for example Daniel Jones of Duke, happens to be available Day 2, I’ll take a swing. If not, I’m building my defense and offensive line.In this scenario, I will kick the can down the road into the 2020 draft class, which is supposed to have more potentially top-tier quarterbacks in it. Ed says: The Giants don’t really provide information on players like Sam Beal, who are on IR. What I can say is that when reporters are around, Beal has been in the locker room. He has been around the practice field, sometimes on the bike, though he is not allowed to practice. He looks healthy. The Giants are still counting on him being part of their defensive backfield next season.Ed says: You know what Bill Parcells always says, right? “You are what your record says you are.” In this case, I think it’s pretty accurate. The Giants should have beaten the Carolina Panthers, losing on a 63-yard field goal. Maybe they were fortunate to hang on against the Chicago Bears. You can probably argue about a couple of other games, as well. Really Will Hernandez Color Rush Jersey , what the Giants are is a mediocre team right now on a hot streak — playing better and taking advantage of their schedule. They are a team fighting back from a 3-13 disaster and years of personnel mistakes that has gotten better and is showing some signs that they might be pointed in the right direction. There is still much to be done to get the Giants back to being an upper echelon team. Right now, though, I guess I would say they are a middle of the road team putting some building blocks in place for the future.Ed says: It is really tough to say at this point. Maybe the Giants re-structure Manning to lower his cap hit. It’s just a gut feeling, but I think only one of Janoris Jenkins/Olivier Vernon returns. Rhett Ellison is probably a candidate for a pay cut/re-structure. Alec Ogletree is due a $6 million roster bonus on March 5. I think the Giants look to re-structure his deal.Patrick Calvert asks: Which Giants team did you feel better about? The 2018 Giants at 5-8, or the 2016 Giants at 11-5 and on the way to the playoffs?Ed says: Patrick, that’s tough to say. I don’t really remember how I felt at the end of the 2016 regular season. With that in mind, I went back and looked at some of what I wrote near the end of that season. What I found was that I think we got fooled by a lot of what we saw in 2016, especially the harebrained thought someone had that the Giants had found themselves a quality young head coach in Ben McAdoo. In retrospect, McAdoo simply rode the coattails of a free-agent spending spree that led to a defense that played far beyond expectations in 2016, and at a level it could not sustain beyond that. The offense was still a train wreck, and McAdoo’s stubbornness and lack of creativity was a big part of the problem. It is also obvious now that Jerry Reese didn’t deliver in the 2016 draft the way we thought he had. Which is yet another reminder not to jump to conclusions about draft picks until we have seen them play a full two or three seasons — most evaluators say three.I wrote earlier this week about whether or not what we are seeing over the past few weeks is sustainable into 2019. I believe it might be. The coach and GM will stay the same. Much of the roster will, too, as coach Pat Shurmur promised recently on WFAN. It looks as though there are some quality young players to go forward with. The Giants appear to be gaining an identity and figuring out how to win games.Shurmur says “years are connected.” If you buy that, you have to feel like the Giants are going in a positive direction heading into the 2019 season.Ed says: No, I really don’t think it’s safe to say that. Let’s start with D.J. Fluker. The guy has been diefied by Giants fans, but the reality is that he’s an average player. I liked him personally and I thought the Giants should have kept him instead of spending big (or at least, bigger) money on Patrick Omameh. For what it’s worth, Fluker is ranked No. 51 out of 60 qualifying guards by Pro Football Focus. He has also missed four games with injuries. Better than Omameh is not a high bar. Fluker is not tearing it up.Now, Andrew Adams. Listen, Curtis Riley is not the answer at free safety. Riley leads all safeties with 20 missed tackles, one every 3.55 attempts. Adams had one amazing three interception game this season, but he’s a backup. He has played 183 snaps this year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has five missed tackles in 20 attempts Lorenzo Carter Color Rush Jersey , one out of every four. The Giants need to upgrade at safety, but moving on from Adams isn’t the problem. Not having anyone better than Riley is the problem. Finally, Romeo Okwara. He has 6.5 sacks for the Detroit Lions, and I don’t think anyone saw that coming. Okwara wasn’t going to play ahead of Olivier Vernon, Kareem Martin or Lorenzo Carter. Maybe you can argue that the Giants should have kept him instead of bringing in Connor Barwin. This kid played 22 games for the Giants over two years, though, and had one sack. I also don’t think the Giants were comfortable with him standing up as a 3-4 outside linebacker.Ed says: Let’s talk offensive line first. Sorry, Chad Wheeler, but the absolute biggest offensive priority for the New York Giants this offseason is to upgrade the right tackle spot. That simply has to get done, whether it’s via free agency, the draft, or both. Wheeler is the weak link on the current line, ranked 63rd overall of 65 qualifying tackles by Pro Football Focus, and 56th of 60 qualifying tackles in pass blocking efficiency.Jamon Brown is a good, but not great player. He has been an upgrade over Patrick Omameh and John Greco. He is a free agent at the end of this season. I think he would like to stay with the Giants, and they would be smart to bring him back.Center? I am not completely sold on Spencer Pulley or Jon Halapio, but I can see the Giants bringing both players back and letting them compete for the job. They have too many other needs to spend a high draft pick or big free agent dollars on this position. As for pass rushers, I haven’t really taken a deep dive into the market. Here are players who could be available. I do believe the pass rush has to be a priority.Ed says: Nope. Nope. Nope. I’ll admit that I haven’t done anything close to a deep study of Dwayne Haskins. I have, however, had two evaluators I trust tell me there really isn’t a single quarterback in the 2019 draft who should be selected in the first round. That doesn’t mean Haskins and others won’t be. It just means that realistically people who know a lot more about this than I do don’t believe any of them are first-round talents. There is no way I’m trading Odell Beckham Jr. in that circumstance. If Haskins, Daniel Jones of Duke or someone else is sitting there near the end of Round 1 and you believe they could be your guy I would have no issue moving some of the extra picks the Giants have to go up and get him. Deal Beckham? Nope.
