It’s been an unusually busy offseason for the Titans. If you crawled in a hole after the divisional round loss to the Patriots in January Womens Ryan Succop Jersey , allow me to quickly get you up to speed.Mike Mularkey was offered an extension and then fired within days of each other. After a quick coaching search, Jon Robinson landed on Mike Vrabel, Leader of Men, as the 18th head coach in the franchise’s history.Vrabel began the work of filling out his coaching staff to mixed reviews. Reported misses on Ohio State co-offensive coordinator Ryan Day and Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher had the fan base concerned, but Vrabel managed to talk Dean Pees out of a very short retirement and coaxed Matt LaFleur away from the highest scoring offense in the NFL and all was right in Titan Nation again.Avery Williamson left for a big contract from the Jets, but the team re-signed Josh Kline and DaQuan Jones to keep the majority of the 2017 core intact. The Titans also added a couple big splashes in free agency, signing two more former Patriots in cornerback Malcolm Butler and running back Dion Lewis. The national media furiously hammered out “Patriots of the South” articles.Deion Sanders mistook Kevin Byard for a fan on Twitter because he’s not a very good football analyst.Once free agency cooled off, our attention turned to the new uniforms. The internet was lousy with rumors of red uniforms and battle-scarred helmets and wild mock ups.The uniform unveiling event was a huge success on multiple levels — more on that in a minute — as over 20,000 Titans fans poured out on to Broadway on a cold April night to get a glimpse of the Titans new unis. The jerseys were widely praised, especially the change in helmet color from white to navy.Jon Robinson went down to Dallas. He was looking for a linebacker to steal. He was in a bind because of Kevin Dodd. He was willing to make a deal.Robinson traded up three times in the draft, ending up with two of the top prospects in the entire draft in Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans and Boston College edge rusher Harold Landry. He also grabbed Arizona safety Dane Cruikshank and Washington State quarterback Luke Falk.NASHVILLE WAS AWARDED THE 2019 NFL DRAFT. Offseason workouts were largely without incident aside from a brief dust up between the local media and Mike Vrabel over UDFA availability and press conference seating arrangements. Yes, really. The team released a 6-part behind-the-scenes video series called “Igniting the Fire” which was pretty cool and caused thousands of people to fall in love with defensive backs coach Kerry Coombs.Kevin Dodd made the curious decision to skip voluntary workouts despite the fact that he needed to make a good first impression on the new staff more than just about anybody on the roster. He was recently released after failing to report to training camp on time.Everyone fell in love with the idea of Matt LaFleur’s offense. Taylor Lewan briefly held out of minicamp, but returned to training camp because he’s a swell guy and he loves Marcus Mariota. He’s about to be a very rich swell guy.Other than that, not a whole lot happened. The offseason ends today — at least in my mind — as the Titans will hold their first practice of training camp at 9:50 AM on Thursday morning at Saint Thomas Sports Park. The practice will be open to the public if you want to go. Everything you need to know about attending can be found here on the team’s site.If you’re going to be out at camp, these are the guys that I would recommend keeping an eye on while you’re there.Corey Davis #84Outside of Marcus Mariota, there may be no Titan more important to the team’s 2018 success than their 2nd year wide receiver. After an up and down rookie season that was hampered significantly by injuries, it’s time for him to take the next step and live up to his billing as the 5th overall pick in the 2017 draft.I was at camp last year before Davis injured his hamstring and his size, speed, and physicality were impressive in person. The wide receiver drills often draw the most attention at camp, so you won’t have trouble finding him. I am interested to see how he looks going full speed again and if his timing with Marcus Mariota has improved after an offseason full of reps.Taywan Taylor #13The other wide receiver to keep an eye on will be Taywan Taylor. Like Davis, he is a 2nd year guy who needs to step up and become a regular contributor in 2018. The team chose not to re-sign Eric Decker and didn’t add any significant receivers through free agency or the draft which reads to me as a vote of confidence in Taylor.Taylor is the fastest of the Titans receivers and last year in camp he created big separation more frequently than any other pass catcher during one-on-one drills. His quickness in and out of breaks is something to watch. His role in the offense is something that is a bit of a mystery at this point. It will be interesting to see where he’s lining up most frequently. Taylor is also the guy most likely to be used on gadget plays like reverses and jet sweeps.Harold Landry #58I’m biased because Womens Steve McNair Jersey , frankly, I had a massive draft crush on Landry and then wrote approximately one billion words about him after the Titans picked him in the 2nd round, but the buzz around Landry has been overwhelmingly positive this offseason. By all accounts, he has come in with a great attitude and impressed with his speed around the edge. It’s tough to get a great read on line play during camp — at least until the pads come on — but I would expect Landry’s speed and athleticism to really shine. Adoree Jackson #25Jackson may be the best athlete on the team. The former track star has unbelievable speed and it will be very apparent when receivers try to go deep on him during practice. His ability to make plays on the ball flashed during camp in 2017, but he finished the season without an interception. That’s something he will be looking to make up for this year.Rashaan Evans #54Another rookie making his first impression on Titans fans, Evans will be embroiled in a battle for a starting spot at inside linebacker with veterans Wesley Woodyard, Will Compton, and Jayon Brown during camp. I’m interested to see how the coaching staff uses him. Will he get some reps as a pure pass rusher?Dion Lewis #33Lewis was one of the Titans big offseason additions and he will represent a very different style of back compared to the ones we’ve seen here the past few seasons. His suddenness is startling on tape and I can’t wait to see it in person. It will also be lots of fun to see him and Derrick Henry standing next to each other. Malcolm Butler #21The other big free agent addition will also be in the spotlight. Butler was one of the very best cornerbacks in football in 2016, but took a step back last year. He is known as a feisty competitor who plays each snap “like food and rent were on the line”. His competitiveness should help push Corey Davis and the other receivers to new heights in camp.Jonnu Smith #81Smith is another 2nd year player who will be looked to for increased production this year. Like Davis, his 2017 season was up and down, but he has the athletic ability to turn in to Delanie Walker’s long term replacement. In fact, the most stunning thing about seeing Smith in person is exactly how much he looks and moves like Walker. Smith taking the next step could give Matt LaFleur a lot of flexibility from a formational standpoint.Marcus Mariota #8File this under obvious, but Mariota’s ability to pick up and excel in the new offense will be the single most important factor in the success or failure of the 2018 Titans. From what we can deduce from offseason reports and Matt LaFleur’s primary influences, it seems fair to expect to see Mariota on the move more than he has been in the last couple years. That doesn’t necessarily mean designed runs, but rather passing plays that move the pocket or put him in a bootleg. Many analysts that we’ve heard from over the course of the offseason have described this as the perfect offense for Mariota. It will be exciting to see what that looks like with him operating it.One word of caution regarding camp reports and even observing in person. The defense is almost always ahead of the offense early in camp. Offensive players have a lot more on their plate from an installation standpoint and it often leads to more mistakes and players playing a little slower than they might once they feel comfortable with the playbook. That’s normal, especially for teams with new offensive coaches. If the Titans offense looks a bit lethargic early, there should be no reason for panic. If it still looks bad by the end of preseason, we may have some cause for concern, but don’t be the guy or gal who jumps the gun and makes wild proclamations based on the first day of training camp reports.Sharif Finch #56This is my off-the-radar sleeper that I want to watch. The Titans gave Finch, an undrafted outside linebacker from Temple, the largest signing bonus out of their UDFA pool. That usually means that there was a lot of competition for the player and the team really liked him quite a bit. I have checked out some of his tape from Temple and it’s pretty impressive. At 6’-4” and 251 pounds Malcolm Butler Jersey , Finch ran a 4.65 second 40-yard dash and a 7.00 second 3-cone drill at Temple’s pro day. I think he will have a chance to push for a spot at the back of the 53-man roster. I will be heading out to camp as often as possible and will share my notes here. Last year, I called Kevin Byard’s breakout season in my notes after the 3rd practice of camp (please ignore any wrong takes in there). Check back over the next few weeks to see those here. Happy camp season! Dread it, run from it, destiny still arrives. The NFL Draft week is upon us. In NFL.com’s Mock Draft Live, Colleen Wolfe selects Marquise Brown as the pick, which is good in my opinion. MJD hates the Titans and Marcus Mariota. Unfortunately, it’s a lot of doom and gloom but that’s what this season has brought. Hopefully next season’s play list is more fun and happy.I wish you all a wonderful, joyous Christmas and a safe, happy new year! After every game, we’ll break down the Buccaneers’ top five players of the week. Point values will be distributed to each, which will then be added up for our weekly Buccaneers of the Week Standings.Despite a nightmare of a first half on Monday night, the Buccaneers barely came up short against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 30-27 loss was Tampa Bay’s first of the season, but there was no shortage of exciting moments as the team tried to climb back from a 30-10 halftime deficit. Let’s get into our top five Bucs from week three.Honorable MentionsThis week’s honorable mentions would likely have made the top five if not for a glaring mistake or two. Chris Godwin caught five passes for 74 yards and a touchdown, but some big drops (including a couple in the end zone) and a costly fumble kept him out of this week’s top five.Gerald McCoy was pretty disruptive throughout the night, finishing with 1鈦? sack and 1 1鈦? tackles for loss. However, a (questionable) roughing the passer call tarnished his night, as did missing a sack late in the game. With the Buccaneer defense needing a stop, McCoy got into the backfield on second down, but failed to finish. As a result, Ben Roethlisberger found JuJu Smith-Schuster for a first down that iced the game.Justin Evans came up with an early interception to set up Tampa Bay’s first touchdown. Through three weeks, he has unsurprisingly been the secondary’s most consistent performer.No. 5: Kwon Alexander (One point)Kwon Alexander finds himself on this list for the second straight week after another strong performance. He totaled eight tackles (five solo) and came up with 1鈦? tackle for loss. The intensity and leadership that the fourth-year linebacker brings to the defense was on full display this week. With the bright lights of Monday Night Football on him, he appeared to be flying around to the ball even more than usual, if that’s possible.Alexander was a big part of the run-stopping effort, one that looked pretty strong until Pittsburgh’s final drive. Dealing with James Conner isn’t easy, but No. 58 played a part in holding him to 61 yards on 15 carries. The pass defense struggled throughout the night, something that has been a theme in all three games this season. With that in mind, it’s possible that we’ll see more blitzes called for Kwon in the coming weeks. Regardless, he will more than likely return to this list multiple times throughout the rest of the year. He just consistently plays at a high level.No. 4: Ryan Fitzpatrick (Two points)After his performance in the first half, it was crazy to think that Ryan Fitzpatrick would be on this week’s list. Amazingly enough, some Fitzmagic reappeared over the final 30 minutes to get him in the top five for a third consecutive week. He just couldn’t earn the top spot this week after throwing three interceptions in the game’s first two quarters. Those turnovers, one of which went for an easy pick six, put Tampa Bay in a huge hole. The veteran was almost able to get out of it, but came up just short. After the first 30 minutes of the game, it seemed like the magic was gone. It seemed obvious that the Bucs would have to start Jameis Winston on Sunday against Chicago, even on a short week. But Fitzpatrick did what he could to bring the team back. He ended the night with 411 yards and three touchdowns to three interceptions on 30-of-50 passing. He is the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 400 yards in three straight games. He might start next week against the Bears. He might not. Either way, what a ride these three weeks were for the journeyman. No. 3: Lavonte David (Three points)In case anyone forgot, Lavonte Davis is a really good player. He was all over the field on Monday, racking up nine tackles (eight solo) and THREE tackles for loss. He was a huge part of the defense’s second-half effort in which they shut out the Steelers over 30 minutes. With the emergence of Kwon Alexander over the last few years, it’s probably been pretty easy for some to forget just how good David is. He is one of the main pillars of a Tampa Bay defense that badly needs its front seven to produce. The three tackles for loss from David were all huge, obviously, but the timing of a couple of them made him an even bigger star on Monday. It felt like whenever the Bucs needed a stop, it was No. 54 that was there to deliver. He is playing at a Pro Bowl level this year. If he’s still somehow being overlooked by the rest of the league, he shouldn’t be for long. His first appearance on this list is well-deserved, that’s for sure. No. 2: Jason Pierre-Paul (Four points)When it comes to consistent production from Buccaneer defenders through the first three weeks of the season, the list starts with Jason Pierre-Paul. When the Giants traded him back in March, he surely felt some added motivation to prove that he still has a lot left in his career. In three games, it’s clear that he has more in the tank. Following his debut on Buccaneers of the Week at No. 4 after his performance against the Eagles, he’s up to No. 2 this week. JPP was electric against Pittsburgh. He picked up five tackles (all solo) with two sacks (plus another tackle for loss) and four quarterback hits. He was in Ben Roethlisberger’s face all night, which is something the Bucs needed. The secondary was overmatched against the likes of Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Vance McDonald (????). So, it was up to the front seven to apply some pressure. The group as a whole tallied three sacks, 10 tackles for loss and nine hits on the quarterback. Without Pierre-Paul, that effort is significantly weaker. He has been Tampa Bay’s best defensive lineman through the first three games. If he keeps it up, he might just be the first Buc to record double-digit sacks since Simeon Rice in 2005.No. 1: Mike Evans (Five points)The Tampa Bay offense largely went through Mike Evans on Monday night. He is the team’s No. 1 receiver, so that isn’t too big of a surprise. But to see him pick up his second 100-yard game in three weeks was a lot of fun. He caught six passes for 137 yards and what looked to be a crucial touchdown in the loss. Even with the number of talented pass-catchers all over the field for the Bucs, Evans has been a huge key in the strong play of Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has been a steady presence, coming through right when the Bucs needed him most. With Jameis Winston coming back sooner rather than later, Evans will definitely adjust. His connection with the young quarterback is one of the biggest parts of the Buccaneer offense. But as evidenced in these first three weeks (and back in 2014 when he was catching passes from Josh McCown and Mike Glennon), it doesn’t really matter who is under center for Tampa Bay. Evans will put his head down and produce either way. His consistency is something the Bucs will be relying on for the rest of this season and for years to come. This is his third week on this list and his first at the top of it.Updated Buccaneers of the Week Standings through week three:Ryan Fitzpatrick— 12 pointsMike Evans— 10 pointsDeSean Jackson— 7 pointsJason Pierre-Paul— 6 pointsKwon Alexander— 4 pointsLavonte David— 3 pointsOffensive Line— 2 pointsVernon Hargreaves— 1 point

Wednesday http://www.49erslockerroom.com/authentic-jimmy-garoppolo-jersey , March 20th, 2019 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from the Internet"NFL free agency’s 1st week was a whirlwind of moves for the 49ers. They were able to bring in help at some of their top needs with contracts that they can get out of quickly if the players do not work out. Dee Ford is an immediate impact player that they brought on to help in the pass rush, which was the biggest need. He had an outstanding season with the Chiefs last season and the 49ers will hope he continues that trend. LB Kwon Alexander and CB Jason Verrett are good players if they can stay on the field. The pairing of Kwon with Fred Warner will give the 49ers one of the fastest linebacking corps in the league. With these 3 pickups, the 49ers should have upgraded their defense from last season. The defense may have been upgraded in free agency, but the 49ers still have the draft to continue to upgrade it. Holding the #2 pick gives the 49ers a shot at Nick Bosa or Quinnen Williams, who are regarded as the top 2 defensive players in this draft. The 49ers attended Alabama’s pro day on Tuesday. Most experts have the 49ers selecting Nick Bosa to help with the edge pass rush, but pairing Quinnen with DeForest Buckner would also be a nice upgrade on the line. After shaking up the training staff over the offseason K'Waun Williams Jersey , the 49ers announced the hiring of Dustin Little as the new head athletic trainer. He spent the last 5 seasons with the Denver Broncos with a few different job titles over the years. Expectations that the Texans would use the franchise tag on Jadeveon Clowney were realized on Monday when the team announced the move a day ahead of the deadline to use it.With that out of the way Jay Prosch Jersey White , the two sides now have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal and Aaron Wilson of the reports that such an agreement is “not close” to happening at this point. That’s not a great surprise as recent reports indicated the Texans were happy to have Clowney play out the year on the tag and that deadlines tend to spur action on the contract front.Given how franchise tag situations tend to play out, it’s also no surprise that Wilson reports that Clowney is not expected to sign the franchise tender anytime soon. Wilson adds that Clowney isn’t expected to take part in any offseason work with the team either and that missing training camp could also be on the agenda.Clowney stands to make at least $15.967 million under the tag as that is 120 percent higher than last year’s salary. Here are four positions the Saints MUST address this offseason."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections InterviewsNew Orleans Saints SatireWho Dat HistoryCanal Street Chronicles Tutorial4 biggest positional needs for the SaintsNew White Michael Thomas Jersey ,14commentsHere are four positions the Saints MUST address this offseason.CSTShareTweetShareShare4 biggest positional needs for the SaintsMatthew Emmons-USA TODAY SportsIt’s time for the New Orleans Saints to start game-planning for the 2019 season. That means the Saints need to assess the nature of their 2018 roster and figure out its biggest needs for 2019. Let’s address what I think are the top 4 biggest needs for the Saints to address in either the 2019 NFL Draft or via free agency. Now this won’t include extending players currently under contract, it doesn’t consider the absence of players who are exclusive or restricted free agents, and it doesn’t consider - for now - the holes created by possible trades, cuts, or restructures. But with that out of the way, here are what I consider the most important positions for the Saints to address this offseason:Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY SportsTight EndThis should come as no surprising. With Benjamin Watson retiring after the 2018 season, that leaves Josh Hill, Garrett Griffin - who has only one career reception, and UDFA Dan Arnold. There had been initial hopes that the Saints would be able to get Jimmy Graham if the Packers released him, but it doesn’t look like that will be the case.Jimmy Graham or otherwise, the Saints will have to look at either free agents or a deep draft class to bring something more to the group. When Josh Hill is the best pass-catching tight end of the group, there’s a problem.Chuck Cook-USA TODAY SportsQuarterbackDrew Brees doesn’t have much left to give in the NFL. He knows it, the Saints know it, the fans know it Michael Thomas Jersey 2019 , and the NFL world knows it.It is more likely than not that 2019 is the swan song for Drew Brees. The Saints will need to do something to address the quarterback position for 2020 and beyond. Maybe the answer is Teddy Bridgewater and Teddy decides to stick around in New Orleans on the bench for another season. Maybe the Saints attempt to address it in the draft, but it’s going to be difficult considering the Saints don’t have a first round pick. We’ll see what happens, but honestly, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the Saints ignore this need much like they did last offseason.Bob Donnan-USA TODAY SportsWide ReceiverTo end the 2018 season, the Saints had Michael Thomas at wide receiver, and not really anything else. Ted Ginn missed a big chunk of the year, and like Drew Brees, he isn’t getting any younger. Cameron Meredith missed the majority of his season after never fully recovering from his knee injury. Rookie Tre’Quan Smith was inconsistent all year to say the least. Dez Bryant was signed to a one year deal, but never saw the field. Undrafted free agents Keith Kirkwood and Austin Carr struggled to get separation from NFL-caliber corners. The Saints could opt to rely on Cameron Meredith, previously signed to a two-year deal, but his return from injury is still questionable at best. The Saints could opt to re-sign Dez Bryant, who seemed to immediately latch on with the team and fans with news of his signing. The Saints could instead (or in addition) address the position in the draft. In any event, they need to do something.Chuck Cook-USA TODAY SportsOffensive LineLike Drew Brees, Max Unger at Center is not getting any younger. Jermon Bushrod is likely to retire at the end of the season. Andrus Peat struggled at times (that is putting it likely) near the end of the season - although his broken hand could have been a primary culprit. Terron Armstead New Orleans Saints Eli Apple Jersey , as great as he is, has failed to play a full 16-game season in his entire professional career. The Saints have young options like Will Clapp out of LSU, but it would be nice to continue to bring in depth via the draft to keep the Saints offensive line one of the better in the league, both in 2019 and beyond. Jacksonville Jaguars safety Tashaun Gipson has a collection of footballs waiting to be displayed in his man cave. All of them are ones he intercepted during his seven years in the NFL.Drew Brees. Ben Roethlisberger. Joe Flacco.Gipson hopes to add to his haul Sunday when the Jaguars (3-1) play at unbeaten Kansas City and against second-year sensation Patrick Mahomes ."He's so good I hope he throws me one," Gipson said Wednesday. "How 'bout this? I'm going to talk him up all week. He's playing so good that when I pick him off I might have to put his ball up there with Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees. That's how good I think he is."Gipson was being a little sarcastic.Although he gave Mahomes plenty of credit for starting the season with 14 touchdown passes and no interceptions, he also made it clear that he likes his team's chances in a matchup featuring the league's top offense against the league's No. 1 defense ."I'm taking this defense over everyone, no matter who we're playing against, no matter who's on offense," Gipson said. "We've got the guys over here to do it. This is something that we're built for. We're built on speed. We're built on toughness. We're built on that fire and passion. We're going to have a good outing on Sunday."On a defense filled with playmakers and trash-talkers, Gipson might be the best combination of both.He guaranteed a victory against New England in Week 2, then went out and held Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski to two receptions for 15 yards. He insisted New York Jets rookie Sam Darnold would be overwhelmed against Jacksonville last week and vowed to get the secondary's first interception of the season. He did get a pick, but it was overturned because of a holding call on the opposite side of the field.Gipson also mocked Minnesota in the preseason, saying there's no way the Vikings would finish ahead of Jacksonville again in total defense. The Vikings are currently 21st. He also ripped Pro Bowl voting, which made him a fifth alternate last season."All of those guys confused me Womens Eli Apple 2019 Jersey ," Gipson said. "It was a travesty."Gipson had 64 tackles, seven pass breakups and four interceptions in 2017, playing mostly in a single-high-safety scheme that forces him to cover sideline to sideline and often makes him the last line of defense. He has 364 tackles and 19 interceptions total. He's often overshadowed on a defense that includes cornerback Jalen Ramsey, linebacker Telvin Smith and defensive ends Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue. But he's far from overlooked by coaches and teammates."We call him the tight end whisperer," Smith said.Gipson has made it a goal to make the Pro Bowl this season and can add to his resume against Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who has 23 receptions for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Slowing Kelce might be more important than getting a football with Mahomes' name on it."This is what I get excited for," Gipson said. "This is going to be huge. Not to make this an individual deal, but you want to win your one-on-one matchups. ... If you feel like you're the best, if you feel like you want to put it out there that you're the best, you've got to go against the best."You start getting the respect you deserve once you start doing it against the big people."

Earlier Monday Germain Ifedi Jersey , I took a look at the connections between former Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews III and members of the Seattle Seahawks front office and coaching staff, and within an..."Earlier Monday, I took a look at the connections between former Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews III and members of the Seattle Seahawks front office and coaching staff, and within an hour of publication Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the Seahawks are interested in at least one other former member of the Packers, Jordy Nelson. Nelson spent the first ten years of his NFL career with the Packers after being drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft. That is of note because, as I'm sure most fans are well aware, John Schneider was a high ranking member of the Packers front office when Nelson was drafted. In addition, Nelson played college football at Kansas State University after growing up in a small town in Kansas (representing). That is important because not only did current Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett also play at K-State, Schneider has long appeared to have an affinity for wide receivers who played at K-State, and earlier this offseason I took a look at this. Thus, this represents another potential opportunity for Schneider to further tighten his monopolistic grip over Wildcat receivers.Chris Carson second in the NFL in yards after contact As I wrote on Sunday, Chris Carson had the best game by a Seattle Seahawks running back in maybe three years this past week against the LA Rams. I was not at all surprised by this because Carson has been nothing but a great player during his year and a half with the team, dating back all the way to the 2017 NFL Draft when Pete Carroll called him one of his “favorite players” in the class. As a seventh round pick, Carson had long odds just to make the final roster after the Seahawks signed Eddie Lacy and expected the returns of Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise from injury, but he did way better by winning the starting gig. I even dubbed it Shaquem Griffin Jersey , “The Summer of Chris Carson.” He’s yet to do a single thing to warrant losing that job, as long as he’s healthy. That began in Week 1 of last year when it was obvious to me and just about everyone else that Carson should be the only back to receive the ball from Seattle’s backfield. That started in Week 2 of 2017, when he received 20 carries and gained 93 yards. The totals weren’t mindblowing, but he had plenty stacked against him (a poor offensive line chief among them) and all you had to do was watch the way he ran to know that he was a special player. The broken ankle he suffered in Week 4 gave people horrific Rawls flashbacks, but as John Gilbert wrote, he had a higher probability of recovery. Here we are: Recovery. And it feels so good.Carson has held off first round rookie Rashaad Penny, who has looked exceptional at times. Much like Carson, the numbers haven’t always panned out for Penny in the way that you’d like (not that it matters yet, he’s only a rookie and he deserves plenty more time to develop and earn his opportunity), but as you watch him, you see that he can probably do things with his legs that neither Carson nor Mike Davis can do. That was obvious as early as his first preseason game; Penny didn’t do much that day, but he had a couple runs that made it clear that he can do a lot if he puts it all together. On many teams, Penny would be starting right now. If many of those coaches had Penny and Carson, they’d at least be giving Penny the ball more often. Not Carroll though. While I’m not sure I love an organizational philosophy that involves drafting a running back in the first round and then not needing to use him in all of his rookie contract years, I can’t blame Carroll for sticking with Carson and Davis. I’ve been saying since the start of last season that I think Carson could be a top-five back in the league. And that’s what we’ve seen recently. While the offensive line is also playing a lot better http://www.seahawkslockerroom.com/authentic-doug-baldwin-jersey , probably thanks in large part to the additions of J.R. Sweezy and D.J. Fluker at guard (I’m not sure what you do with D.J.R. Fluzy, but there you go, I’ve now put that into the universe), Carson is also making the most out of the meals provided to him.Carson is averaging 3.3 yards per rush after contact, second in the NFL behind only Isaiah Crowell of the New York Jets. And to add to that, Crowell has had runs of 77, 62, 54, and 36 yards. He’s playing really well, but those long runs — assuming that he had a hand on him at the line of scrimmage — are really going to skew the numbers and bring Crowell back to the rest of the pack soon. Christopher Carson’s longest run is 24, but he’s lost yardage on only three of his 64 carries. Crowell has lost yardage on 11 of his 54 attempts. That includes eight losses of at least -2 yards (and a safety), compared to Carson’s losses of -1, -1, and -2 yards. We can’t know for sure how much of this has to do with Seattle’s gameplan or the offensive line as compared to the Jets or the average NFL team today, but I’m gonna go ahead and be biased as I can to say that it’s only because Carson is the best player in NFL history. This week http://www.seahawkslockerroom.com/authentic-chris-carson-jersey , the Seahawks play the Oakland Raiders, and while I am not sure how we judge the field at Wembley and how that might alter Carroll’s gameplan with Carson and the rest of the offense, we do know that the Raiders are going to provide a defense that might get him over 100 yards again. Oakland is 28th in rushing yards allowed, 27th in yards per carry allowed, and 24th against the run according to DVOA. Two weeks ago against the Cleveland Browns, the Raiders allowed 105 yards to Nick Chubb (on three carries), and 82 on 22 carries by Carlos Hyde. They did a surprisingly good job against the LA Chargers this past Sunday, but that was likely because Philip Rivers had no need to hand it off when he’s going 22-of-27 for 339 yards. Hey, I’ll take a good game from Russell Wilson too. This is definitely a good time to be Carson or Davis, who has 33 carries for 169 yards over his last two games (in that time he has just two negative rushes, both for -1 yard), and they both look like starters. The guy behind them will be a starter one day too, Seattle just doesn’t need him right now.

It’s an exciting time for fans of the Dallas Cowboys. The playoffs are here Dallas Cowboys Connor Williams Jersey , Dallas is right in the thick of things, and we all know about the thrilling story of what they overcame to get here. None of the potential opponents going forward should look at them as an easy opponent. But if they look like a tough out now, just consider: They are likely to be even better in the future. The reason for that is simple: They are one of the youngest rosters in the league, with a lot of very talented players that are at a point in their career where the arrow is pointing up.Here are some of the best examples.QB Dak Prescott - 25Quarterbacks often have long and productive careers - look at Tom Brady and Drew Brees, for example. And they often have their peak years from their late twenties into their early thirties. With the way he has played and led this team, Prescott has already proven he is a winner and a leader. And he is only in his third season. He is still learning about his position. With what he has accomplished already, he is likely just getting started. RB Ezekiel Elliott - 23He has led the league in yards per game every season of his short career. Running backs tend to peak sometime around age 27 or 28 - which means Zeke has four or five years of top-notch performance left, even with his heavy workload. He has certainly demonstrated durability this season. Despite his heavy workload in the regular season (381 touches), he had plenty of gas in the tank in the wild-card game, with 30 more carries and receptions and a total of 169 yards of offense, not to mention a key block or two. Look for him to eat a lot more in the coming years.DE Demarcus Lawrence - 26Let’s switch to the defense. Lawrence has hit his stride the past couple of seasons, and with his disruptions and tackles for a loss against the Seattle Seahawks, he showed he is a force to be reckoned with. Defensive linemen often have longer careers as experience comes into play. He is going to get paid, and he is almost certainly going to be worth every penny.DE Randy Gregory - 26He might be the same age as Lawrence, but due to suspensions, he is what you call very low mileage. And as he finally begins to accrue some time on the field, he is becoming a worthy bookend for Lawrence Womens Connor Williams 2019 Jersey , having made a couple of big plays against Seattle. He also influenced others with some incredible hustle, forcing Russell Wilson to have to get rid of the ball before he was ready.DT Antwaun Woods - 26Just like Gregory, Woods is a player who has seen very little action, having played in only 16 regular-season games. But he has emerged as a real find at 1-tech, and could be manning the middle of the defensive line for years to come.DT Maliek Collins - 23Despite having to play through injury this season, Collins has been very good at the 3 tech, getting Dallas’ lone sack against Seattle. If he gets fully healthy, he is the final piece in what promises to be a fearsome front four for several years to come.CB Chidobe Awuzie - 23He had probably the best game of any member of the secondary on Saturday. He has been criticized for his ball skills, but don’t forget that he is only in his second year. He has a lot of time to learn.CB Anthony Brown - 252018 was a nice rebound year for Brown as a slot corner. CB Byron Jones - 26He is the old man of the cornerback room, and emerged this season as one of the best in the league. When you have a trio of starters like this, you have a good shot at three or four years of very solid coverage.S Xavier Woods - 23He has become a solid part of the secondary, and remains one of the hardest hitters on the team.LB Jaylon Smith - 23In his second year on the field after missing his entire rookie season, Smith has emerged as a truly outstanding middle linebacker. He possesses phenomenal speed and great knowledge - and his ceiling is likely still a ways away.WR Amari Cooper - 24Back to offense. The man who is justly credited with a tremendous contribution toward saving the Cowboys’ season cost them a first-round pick - and at that age, has years of embarrassing defensive backs ahead. WR Michael Gallup - 22The rookie is already developing into a strong WR2 to pair with the experienced and polished Cooper. It has taken a while for the connection between him and Prescott to develop, but we saw signs of it on the touchdown in the wild-card game. Getting another offseason to develop alongside Cooper is tantalizing, especially with the historical trend of wide receivers growing so much in their second and third years.TE Blake Jarwin - 24He’s just been a one-hit wonder so far, but that great game against the New York Giants offers real hope that the tight end position is not in such bad shape even without adding new talent.TE Dalton Schultz - 22The rookie has been more of a run-blocking specialist Cheap Connor Williams Youth Jersey , but is showing promise. Like Jarwin, he offers a lot of hope for growth.G Connor Williams - 21He has not had the best season, but in the wild-card game, he was more than serviceable when Xavier S’ua-Filo was unavailable. And the belief has always been that he will benefit greatly from a full off-season to put on muscle and gain strength.T La’el Collins - 25Like Williams, he is seen as a bit of a weak link on the offensive line. But when there are three All-Pros comprising the “old” heads there, it is hard to be a standout. And his play has generally been improving over the course of this season/postseason.That is 16 starters plus a TE2 that are 26 or younger. And none of the All-Pro offensive linemen are 30 yet, so they may have several very good years ahead. This doesn’t even consider some backups who could play a much bigger role going forward, like Taco Charlton, Jourdan Lewis, Dorance Armstrong, and the injured Cedrick Wilson.Oh, and there is one other name that I saved for last, because he is something special.LB Leighton Vander Esch - 21All he has done is make second-team All Pro while leading the team in tackles with 140. And he famously has very little experience playing 11-man football. Already one of the best defenders in the league, his growth potential is still through the roof.He just isn’t impressive. When you look at him from the perspective of other teams, his potential is downright terrifying. This is not just a young bunch. It is one that is littered with impressive talent all over the place. The Cowboys may be having one of their most successful seasons in a quarter century, but the future should be even better, and likely for years to come. Houston star J.J. Watt knows how important Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys is to fans of both teams. But the way the Texans' season has gone so far White Randy White Jersey , Watt isn't concerned about the significance of this in-state rivalry and is simply worried about helping his guys turn things around."I'm sure there's definitely something there for the fans on both sides, but ... they could be lining up anybody over there," Watt said. "We need to win this game."The Texans (1-3) got their first victory last week in overtime against the Colts after opening the season with three straight losses. The Cowboys (2-2) haven't fared much better and picked up their second win on Sunday against the Lions. This game tends to be hyped more because these teams meet so rarely. Sunday will be the fifth time between these teams and the first since 2014. The Cowboys have won the last three, with Houston's only win coming in the franchise's first game in 2002.While Watt really didn't want to get into the rivalry aspect of this game, quarterback Deshaun Watson talked about what a win over Dallas would mean to the city."This is pretty much the battle of Texas," Watson said. "Two Texas teams and Houston wants to beat Dallas and have the bragging rights. So, we have to go out there and do our job and try to get those bragging rights so the whole city of Houston can hold that weight for a year."To do that the Texans will have to slow down running back Ezekiel Elliott, who leads the NFL with 426 yards rushing. He had a season-high 29 touches for a career-high 240 yards from scrimmage in the win over Detroit. The 25 carries were by far the most this season and it's what he expects every week — not the 16-carry average from the first three weeks when the Dallas offense was spotty at best."I am young," the 23-year-old said. "I got fresh legs. I'm going to get the ball as much as I can."Some things to know about Sunday's game between the Cowboys and Texans:IRVING'S RETURN WILL WAITDefensive lineman David Irving was activated by Dallas after starting the season on a four-game suspension for the second straight year. But the club said he didn't make the trip because of an excused absence for personal reasons and wouldn't make his season debut.Irving had six sacks in his first four games coming off last year's suspension. He finished with seven sacks in eight games before a concussion sidelined him for the final four games. The fourth-year player practiced for the first time since last November, but missed the two days for personal reasons.DYNAMIC DUOWatt and Jadeveon Clowney led Houston's defense with dominant performances last week. Watt had two sacks, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit and forced two fumbles against the Colts. Clowney added two sacks, four quarterback hits, four tackles for losses and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.Watt has returned to form this season after playing just eight games over the previous two seasons because of back surgery and a broken leg. He's tied for first in the NFL with four forced fumbles and his five sacks are tied for second."Two elite players. They can really disrupt a game, can affect everything you are trying to do in the run game and the passing game," Garrett said. "Hard to block those guys one on one. You have to have a plan for them. Again, most teams have a plan for them and typically they show up anyway."LAWRENCE LEADSWhile Clowney and Watt have led Houston's defense Randy White Jersey 2019 , the Cowboys have one defensive end leading their group in DeMarcus Lawrence. He leads the NFL with 5 1/2 sacks and ranks second with eight tackles for losses. He's also recovered a fumble and has 21 tackles.Houston coach Bill O'Brien raved about his work this season."Great length, athleticism. He plays very hard, plays hard on every snap," O'Brien said. "He's chasing the ball sideline to sideline, chasing the quarterback. He can wreck a game."PROTECTING WATSONWatson has been sacked 17 times, second most in the NFL. While Houston's offensive line has been criticized for the number of hits Watson has taken this season, he's quick to point out his lineman shouldn't take all the blame for the sacks."A lot of the sacks I put upon me getting rid of the ball or holding the ball too long or trying to create a play where I probably could have thrown the ball away or ran for extra yardage — two or three yards," he said. "But, those guys are doing a heck of a job and ... they're improving, building chemistry, enjoying the game, having fun and just getting better every week."AP Pro Football Writer Schuyler Dixon contributed to this report.

The Indianapolis Colts have released their injury report for Friday Le'Raven Clark Jersey Stitched , the third and final of the week as they get ready to host the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys.Three Colts — guard Mark Glowinski (ankle), safety Mike Mitchell (calf) and rookie linebacker Skai Moore (neck) — have all been ruled out, while wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) and safety Clayton Geathers (knee) are questionable. Glowinski went down against Houston, Mitchell will miss his second week in a row and Moore popped up on the injury report Thursday after appearing in nine games this season.Hilton has missed practices here and there throughout the week before playing Sunday while nursing his ankle injury Youth Jordan Wilkins Jersey , but never missed the full week of practice and still played. Should the near-1,000 yard receiver miss action against Dallas, it will be his first game on the sideline since missing back-to-back games in Weeks 5 and 6 against the Patriots and Jets.Center Ryan Kelly (knee) appears to be nearing his return after getting injured in Week 12 against Miami, and was a full participant on Friday after being limited Wednesday and Thursday. Same for tight end Mo Alie-Cox (calf) Jordan Wilkins Jersey Stitched , who was injured during the week of practice leading up to Miami.Geathers, Glowinski, Hilton, Mitchell and Moore were joined by left tackle Anthony Castanzo (knee) Indianapolis Colts Abdurrahman Ya-Sin Jersey , linebacker Darius Leonard (finger/shoulder) and guard Quenton Nelson (back) as Colts that missed Friday’s practice. Like Kelly and Alie-Cox, defensive tackle Margus Hunt was a full participant on Friday after being limited throughout the week. Dontrelle Inman remained on the injury report with shoulder issues for the third day in a row, but was a full participant throughout the week.Defensive end Jabaal Sheard (knee) was added to the injury report for Friday and was a limited participant, while tight end Ryan Hewitt was a full participant but added to the injury report with a rib injury. The Colts’ playoff hopes looked like they would go up in smoke when they fell behind the Giants 14-0 in the first half and they聽 trailed by 10 points with less than a minute to go in the third quarter Womens Abdurrahman Ya-Sin 2019 Jersey , but they pulled off a comeback win.Andrew Luck found Chester Rogers for a one-yard touchdown with 55 seconds left to play in the game to put Indianapolis up 28-27 and Malik Hooker intercepted Eli Manning on the ensuing possession to seal the deal. Should the Steelers lose to the Saints later on Sunday, the win means that the Colts and Titans will be playing for a Wild Card berth in Week 17.Luck didn’t have his cleanest game, but came up with several big plays in the second half to help his team off the mat. Most of those came with his arm, but he also came up with a key 14-yard run on the game-winning drive. He ended the day 31-of-47 for 357 yards and two touchdowns.Manning’s pick came on a desperate heave down the field and ended an otherwise effective day on a bad note. The Colts remain one of two teams — the Chargers are the other — that Manning has not beaten over the course of his career and the league’s scheduling policy means the chances of him getting another crack at them aren’t great unless he heads to another team.Whether that happens is one of the big questions of a Giants offseason that will start a week from now. The Colts’ offseason may start at that point as well Indianapolis Colts Abdurrahman Ya-Sin Jersey , but Sunday’s rally means that they can still dream about a playoff run.

Green Bay has its tight end of the future."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections The APC PodcastPackers Film RoomFantasy Football AdviceCDTShareTweetShareSharePackers select TE Jace Sternberger with 75th pick in 2019 NFL DraftJim Dedmon-USA TODAY SportsThe Packers have their tight end of the future. After drafting two defensive players on day one of the 2019 NFL Draft and landing an offensive linemen in Elgton Jenkins in round two Marquez Valdes-Scantling Jersey , the Packers have selected Jace Sternberger from Texas A&M in round three with the 75th overall selection.Sternberger took an official visit to Green Bay this spring, so he has been on their radar. He was one of the most productive receiving tight ends in college football in 2018, racking up over 800 yards and ten touchdowns through the air. 2018 was Sternberger’s only season in College Station, as he started his college career at Kansas and transferred after two years there. The 6-foot-4, 251-pound Sternberger ran a 4.75-second 40-yard dash at the 2019 NFL Combine in Indianapolis this year, a solid if unspectacular time that appears slower than he plays on tape. Questions exist regarding his ability as a blocker, but a Matt LaFleur-led offense will require him to develop that part of his game in the NFL to become Here’s more on that from SB Nation’s Christian D’Andrea:With Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis in Green Bay for 2019, Sternberger will be able to work his way into the lineup gradually before being expected to take over as the starting tight end in 2020. However, he provides a quality receiving threat from the tight end position who can contribute on day one. While watching the Green Bay Packers battle the New York Jets last Sunday in a game that ultimately meant little to both non-playoff contending teams, the glimpse of a familiar face was caught on the MetLife Stadium sidelines between plays: former Green Bay outside linebackers coach Kevin Greene. After a three-year hiatus from the NFL, Greene returned to the league in a similar role coaching the outside ‘backers for the Jets in 2017 and remains on a defensive staff that, like Green Bay’s, may be on its way out in less than a week. In the midst of what has been a disappointing season from the Packers’ outside linebacking crew in generating pressure, seeing Greene on the sidelines evoked a sense of “what-if.” What if Greene had not surprisingly left Green Bay following the 2013 season, giving way to Winston Moss? Would the Packers’ defense be in a better shape now had there been continuity for the OLB unit, perhaps the most vital position in the 3-4 system? With the stability of Dom Capers as Defensive Coordinator spanning a wide range of years before and after Greene’s departure, that answer may not be as clear-cut as initially thought. Here are comparisons based on two important stats: sacks and quarterback hits.Kevin Greene (2009-2013)Greene oversaw a Packer linebacker corps that included a young Clay Matthews, who reached four Pro Bowls in a five-year stretch JK Scott Jersey , but also a large number of undrafted free agents. Green Bay won a Super Bowl during the 2010 season, boasted a 15-1 record in 2011, and only tallied less than 10 wins once in that span. While some of those feats, as well as a top offense, could mask some of the Packers’ deficiencies on defense, Green Bay’s outside linebackers were not as dangerous during Greene’s tenure as one might think. The Packers, more or less, had a classic “bend-but-don’t-break” defense during Greene’s years in Green Bay, but they really lacked a dynamic pass rusher opposite Matthews. Mike Neal’s five sacks in 2013 were the most for an edge rusher in that timeframe, with Frank Zombo, Dezman Moses, and Brad Jones a close second at four sacks apiece. In fact, a monumental reason why the Super Bowl champion Packers were able to become what they were in 2010 was due to the pass rush from other positions in Capers’ scheme. Cullen Jenkins brought seven sacks from the five-technique, while B.J. Raji added 6.5 sacks from the nose and Zombo notched his four as a rotational player on the other end from Matthews, who tallied 13.5. As seen below from Pro Football Reference, the Packers recorded Greene-era highs of 89 quarterback hits and 47 sacks during the 2010 season despite just 37 hits and 21.5 sacks from the outside linebackers. OLB Pass Rush Under Kevin GreeneYearTeam QB HitsTeam SacksOLB QB HitsOLB SacksClay Matthews SacksYearTeam QB HitsTeam SacksOLB QB HitsOLB SacksClay Matthews SacksBut outside the 2012 season, the Packers really struggled to get to the quarterback during Greene’s stint. The 2011 season was abysmal in that the entire defense registered only 29 total sacks and 70 total hits, with just 11 sacks and 42 hits coming from the outside linebackers. Really astounding was Greene’s last season in 2013 when the Packer defense was relatively all-or-nothing when rushing the passer. As a team Kevin King Jersey , the Packers recorded 44 sacks among their 63 quarterback hits, with the outside linebackers producing 21 sacks on just 28 hits! As ESPN notes, “players who have a disproportionately high or low percentage of sacks per knockdown are likely to see their sack total rise or fall accordingly the following year.” That indeed was the case and will be mentioned below, but although Aaron Rodgers’ injury that season severely impacted time of possession, the Packers still struggled greatly to generate consistent pass rush outside of their sacks.Winston Moss (2014-2018)Although Rodgers was injured in parts of Moss’ tenure in Green Bay as well, the Packers’ outside linebackers became a much larger focal point of the pass rush.Moss was instantly aided by the addition of Julius Peppers in the 2014 offseason, finally giving the Packers a bookend rusher to help Matthews. Peppers gave the Packers 24.5 sacks over three seasons and was a catalyst for helping the Packers increase their quarterback hits and sacks overall. Excluding a shortened 2018 season, Green Bay never saw the OLBs record fewer than 53 quarterback hits under Moss’ leadership, a single-year total higher than any year under Greene. Four full seasons under Moss saw the Packers average 26.3 sacks and 58.3 hits from the outside linebackers compared to just 19.7 sacks and 41.1 hits under five seasons of Greene. Even in what was considered a “down” season in 2017, the Packers’ outside linebackers were still on par with any unit of Greene’s tutelage. And while the negative outlier of the 2018 season certainly has caused a stir among the Packer faithful, the Packers, by the numbers, have actually created more pass rush in the latter half of the decade from their OLBs than the former. This year, their production has merely reverted back to many seasons under Greene - seasons that many people on the surface may have considered the Packers’ glory days of the past decade. Final ThoughtsNeither Greene nor Moss were given many high-level prospectsBoth coordinators had the luxury of gaining high-impact players immediately. Greene with Matthews and Moss with Peppers. But outside of that, the talent level was marginal. Green Bay did draft two players with a premium draft pick to help Greene - Jones and Perry - but both provided inconsistent production or relatively none. Moss, on the other hand, was never given a high draft pick unless you count Fackrell in the third round. It is a perplexing concept Josh Jones Jersey , as the Packers have gone to the first-round cornerback well so many times over the past decade to alleviate defensive concerns, yet have neglected adding pass rushers. Unlike the New York Giants of the early 2010s or last year’s Philadelphia Eagles, the Packers were rather complacent with the pass rush group they had. A positive pass rushing season at outside linebacker, especially in Moss’ time, led to almost no new influx of talent at the position. That approach finally started to catch up to the Packers in 2017 when Peppers left as a free agent and in 2018 when they added little outside depth. This year’s crop of edge rushing talent in the draft could give the Packers a chance to right some of those wrongs. The impact of a proven free agent can lead to quick changesGreen Bay’s outside linebacker pass rush improved both immediately and dramatically when it welcomed Julius Peppers in 2014. Of course, the Packers did not strike the same kind of gold when they signed an aging Ahmad Brooks in 2017. But for a team like the 2018 Packers, a proven commodity could help enact fast change. In free agency, younger players such as Jadeveon Clowney, Demarcus Lawrence, and Dee Ford could hit the open market in 2019. It has not been Packer-like to sign marquee free agents like these since the splashes of 2006, but the second year of Brian Gutekunst as General Manager could have a surprise in store.Moss might have had more talent to work with than Greene, but he ultimately cultivated the most position-specific results.Moss’ abrasive personality toward the end of his run in Green Bay was a distraction, but his units were either more or just as productive as any Packers outside linebacking crew of the past decade. I give Greene plenty of credit for trying to develop former undrafted free agents into contributors and former defensive ends like Aaron Kampman into edge-rushing linebackers. That Kampman recorded 16 quarterback hits in 2009 after standing up for the first time actually is quite remarkable. But in the end, Moss helped Perry and Peppers transition from ends to linebackers as well and made the most of the talent he was given, even if many Packer fans like myself did not realize or appreciate it.

Patriots defensive coordinator (except without the title) Brian Flores has a busy weekend E.J. Gaines Jerseys Stitched , taking advantage of the bye week to look for new work.According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Flores will interview with the Dolphins and the Packers today, and will have two more tomorrow. He had previously been reported to be meeting with the Broncos and Browns. The 37-year-old Flores was the Patriots’ defensive play-caller, but never got the same title Matt Patricia had the year before for some reason. (Bill Belichick surely knows and had a master plan and the rest of us aren’t capable of understanding it).The Patriots were seventh in scoring defense (21st in yards allowed), despite a lack of talent in the front seven. And because Patriots coordinators are always in high demand despite their spotty results eslewhere Youth Jarvis Landry Jersey , Flores is a guy everyone wants to talk to this year.Browns trade OT Shon Coleman to 49ers for 7th round pick The fall from grace for Shon Coleman was a fast one. A third-round pick in 2016, Coleman was the team’s starting right tackle in 2017 for all 16 games. Although he didn’t play exceptionally well, for it being his first year as a starter, he held his own. This offseason, the team signed Chris Hubbard from the Steelers to be their new starting right tackle. With Joe Thomas retiring Jarvis Landry Jersey Stitched , the team decided to have an open competition there, with Coleman getting the first crack at it. Less than a week into training camp, though, head coach Hue Jackson had seen enough and replaced Coleman. Rumors quickly started that the club could be trying to move on from Coleman, and on Friday Youth Damarious Randall Jersey , that’s exactly what they did: they shipped him to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 7th round pick in 2019.The trade likely assures that rookie Desmond Harrison will make the roster, and Greg Robinson’s odds of making it seem pretty good as well. The team still has 18 more roster moves to make to get to 53 players by the 4:00 PM ET deadline on Saturday.

SAN JOSE Jake DeBrusk Jersey , Calif. (AP) Evander Kane was so excited about being traded from a last-place team to one in playoff contention that he raced to a cross-country flight in order to jump right into the lineup.Kane made an immediate impact in his San Jose debut by assisting on two goals during a four-goal second period and delivering a few big hits that helped the Sharks beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 on Tuesday night.”I kind of come from not playing so much meaningful hockey to playing some meaningful hockey,” he said. ”Obviously, you get a little ramped up and I just tried to change the game in any way I can. It’s good to get on the board and contribute offensively and also with some other elements.”Joe Pavelski had a goal and three assists while centering San Jose’s top line with Kane on his left wing. Justin Braun, Timo Meier and Logan Couture also scored in the second to help the Sharks snap a three-game losing streak and remain in sole possession of second place in the Pacific Division. Chris Tierney added an empty-net goal. But the catalyst was Kane, whose arrival from Buffalo allowed coach Peter DeBoer to play four lines with confidence.”He brings a little bit of everything to the table,” DeBoer said. ”That’s why he’s as valuable as he is and as highly thought of as he is in the league. I liked his game tonight. I thought he worked really hard away from the puck. The offense and physicality are things you take for granted, but I thought defensively and away from the puck, I thought he really worked hard.”Martin Jones allowed a first-period goal by Connor McDavid and a third-period tally by Jesse Puljujarvi but made 24 saves for the win.The Sharks looked like a different team than the one that stumbled in the final three games of their recent road trip, getting outscored 13-4. General manager Doug Wilson provided a big boost Monday when he dealt two conditional 2019 draft picks and prospect Danny O’Regan to the struggling Sabres for Kane.Kane got acclimated at the morning skate and moved right onto the top line with Pavelski Womens Patrice Bergeron Jersey , his former teammate in Russia during the 2012-13 lockout, and Joonas Donskoi. That line was San Jose’s most dangerous right from the start as Kane had a couple of wraparound attempts in the first period before helping the Sharks get on the scoreboard in the second.Kane hit Matt Benning in the corner to start the sequence on San Jose’s first goal when he sent a shot from the boards that Pavelski redirected past Cam Talbot to tie the game at 1.”It’s a good element for our team right now,” Pavelski said. ”That’s one thing that I think everyone is so excited for, that edge that he plays with. That compete level. You see it right away.”Kane, who had just seven points in his final 26 games with the Sabres, added a secondary assist on Braun’s goal that gave the Sharks the lead and then got into a scuffle with Benning in front of the net later in the second.Kane’s line then hemmed the Oilers in on the forecheck later in the third, leading to Meier’s 16th goal after a line change against a weary defense.Couture broke it open with his 26th of the season late in the second, ending the Oilers’ three-game winning streak.”The four goals that they did score were them creating turnovers in the (offensive) zone and pouncing on it,” forward Milan Lucic said. ”Twenty minutes lost us the game and it’s unfortunate with the start we had and a chance to have a great road trip.”McDavid got Edmonton off to a fast start with his 13th goal in the past 14 games. Andrej Sekera blocked a shot from Marc-Edouard Vlasic Karl Alzner Jersey Womens , sending McDavid in on a 2-on-1 that he converted.NOTES: Talbot made 29 saves. … Pontus Aberg, acquired last weekend from Nashville, got the assist on Puljujarvi’s goal in his debut for Edmonton. … Pavelski has four goals and five assists in three games vs. Edmonton this season. … Willie O’Ree, the first black player in the NHL, dropped the ceremonial first puck.UP NEXTOilers: Host the Nashville Predators on Thursday.Sharks: Host the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday.— WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — The Winnipeg Jets are seeing the benefits of Mark Scheifele’s hard work.Scheifele, the Jets’ top-line center, scored twice and added an assist as Winnipeg defeated the New York Rangers 4-3 Tuesday night.Scheifele has a team-leading 30 goals in 57 games, two goals away from his career high reached in 79 games in 2016-17.
