for Tony Sparano on Sunday Authentic Mike Hughes Jersey , and they did Just before the start of Training Camp this year, the Minnesota Vikings’ organization was rocked by the death of offensive line coach Tony Sparano. Sparano, a long-time coach that was entering his second year with the Vikings after numerous other stops, died of heart failure at his home the week before camp was supposed to get underway.Sunday would have been Coach Sparano’s 57th birthday, and the team was well aware of it. According to this story by Lindsey Young on the Vikings’ main website, the team wanted to go out on the field in Philadelphia and get a win for their late coach.I had seen a couple of things on social media leading up to the start of today’s game about Sparano’s birthday being today Youth Anthony Barr Jersey , and I’m glad that the guys that he was closest to on the team, the offensive line, played a pretty vital role in making a victory happen today. Even with Riley Reiff going out early in the second quarter with a foot injury, the offensive line held up fairly well. That includes Hill, who shifted over to left tackle in Reiff’s absence, and rookie Brian O’Neill Trae Waynes Jersey , who once again looked solid at the right tackle spot. The Vikings wanted to go out on Sunday and get a victory for their late coach, and that’s exactly what they did. Hopefully, with any luck, this will be the start of a significant turnaround for the Vikings for the rest of a 2018 season in which they’re honoring Sparano with a sticker on their helmets.NFL Network goes full “Heidi Game,” cuts off final minutes of Vikings/Jaguars When the NFL Network announced earlier in the year that the Week 2 preseason contest between the Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars would be featured on their channel, most people. . .including those well outside of the Twin Cities market like myself. . .assumed that it would be the entire game. Not so much. The Jaguars got a go-ahead touchdown from Brandon Wilds to take a 14-10 lead over the Vikings with less than two minutes remaining and the Vikings still holding all three of their time outs. Rather than sticking with the action at U.S. Bank Stadium Authentic Danielle Hunter Jersey , however, the NFL Network apparently thought it would be a much better idea to switch to the opening kickoff of the second game of their Saturday quadruple-header, as fans everywhere saw the beginning of the game between the Oakland Raiders and the Los Angeles Rams.It was a bit of a throwback to the “Heidi Game” from many years ago. In that 1968 contest between the Raiders and the New York Jets, NBC cut away from their game to the beginning of the movie Heidi, and missed the Raiders scoring two touchdowns in the final minute to turn a 32-29 Jets lead into a 43-32 Raiders victory. The Vikings ultimately ended up falling short on their final drive, but it still would have been nice to see it anyway.Again http://www.vikingsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-eric-kendricks-jersey , as I said in an earlier post, it’s just a preseason game and ultimately doesn’t mean anything. Still, for the folks that live outside of the regular market for these games, it would have been appropriate for the NFL Network to show the game all the way to its conclusion. The game will be replayed on the NFL Network on Tuesday, 21 August at 9:00 AM Central if anyone would like to watch the last couple of minutes after missing it the first time.

The Vikings already got to work late Friday afternoon when they began to cut several players. Thankfully the three players I picked are still on the roster Minnesota Vikings Hats , so that’s a relief. Keep up to date with roster cuts here at the Daily Norseman.1. Holton Hill, Cornerback, TexasHill is looking for another chance after having some issues while at Texas. He was suspended last season for violating team rules, later he tested positive for marijuana. For scouts, coaches and general managers, his off-the-field issues caused them to overlook his ability on-the-field. That resulted in him not being drafted, but the Vikings decided to see what he is capable of when the team signed him as an undrafted free agent. Hill may have had a shaky first two games, but it’s fair to say that he somewhat showed growth in the final two games of the preseason. One thing that I like about Hill and it may sound obvious, but it’s his ability to tackle (despite his one missed tackle in the first quarter against Tennessee). Something that I notice in defensive backs is they sometimes struggle with tackling, a lot of missed tackles. Hill isn’t afraid to put his physicality to use. Throughout the preseason he has managed 16 tackles, his most coming against the Tennessee Titans with six total tackles. Against the Titans, Hill played every defensive snap and even handled kick returns. He managed a 53-yard return Minnesota Vikings Hoodie , he really showed head coach Mike Zimmer that he is capable of doing more than just being a defensive back. Which is why it would be beneficial for the Vikings to hold onto him, whether that be practice squad or special teams. 2. Mike Boone, Running Back, CincinnatiIn all honesty, I was on the Roc Thomas hype train after that first preseason game. However, Mike Boone has emerged to potentially take over the third running back spot. Not only has Boone showed what he can do in the run game, but what he can do in the pass game as well. The undrafted free agent from Cincinnati has rushed for 194 yards and one touchdown off of 49 carries (four yards per carry). His biggest game was against the Jacksonville Jaguars where he ran for 91 yards and a touchdown off of 13 touches. Throughout the four games, he also caught 10 passes for 88 yards (eight yards per reception). He had two catches against the Titans and managed to rack up 53 receiving yards. It’s very possible that Mack Brown gets the boot and is replaced by Boone. He would be a nice compliment to have in the passing game and seems to be a true power back. He truly does hit about every check mark a back needs: speed, hands, physicality, agility and vision. It also would be nice to see Roc Thomas get a spot on the practice squad. 3. Brandon Zylstra, Wide Receiver Youth Customized Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , Concordia (Minn.), Edmonton Eskimos (CFL)Brandon Zylstra finally got to show what he’s capable of when the Vikings played Tennessee on Thursday. He managed to have a pretty impressive touchdown grab in the fourth quarter. Not only did he manage to rake in a touchdown, he had four catches for 54 yards (13.5 yards per reception). This was really the first game that Zylstra was able to actually participate in the passing game. He was plagued with a bad hamstring injury that held him on the sideline while he recovered. It seemed like Minnesota didn’t really want to risk a more severe injury with Zylstra. Since they weren’t really rushing him back to play, then I’m curious to wonder if maybe the front office and coaching staff already had a spot for him, whether that be on the 53-man roster or the practice squad. Also, what’s interesting is that other wideout Stacy Coley is out with an injury after going down in practice a couple weeks ago. With the severity of his injury unknown, then I wouldn’t count Zylstra out. After the Minnesota Vikings’ surprise claiming of former Detroit Lions’ running back Ameer Abdullah on Wednesday, they had to make a corresponding roster move to get him on the 53-man roster. To do so, they bid adieu to another running back. The announcement came down a little bit ago that the Vikings have waived running back Roc Thomas to make room for Abdullah.Thomas was one of the big stars of the preseason for the Vikings, as he had a huge performance in the preseason opener against the Denver Broncos. Even though it was thought that he was in a battle for the #3 running back spot with fellow undrafted rookie Mike Boone, both of them made the team out of Training Camp. During the season, however www.minnesotavikingsteamonline.com , Boone appeared to be the choice over Thomas with Dalvin Cook on the sideline, and that became more apparent today with Thomas’ release. On the season, Thomas had eight carries for 30 yards, and caught two passes for 21 yards. He suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints and was inactive for the Week 9 victory over the Detroit Lions. Despite that, Thomas was not waived with any sort of injury designation, so if no team claims him in the next 24 hours, he will become a free agent rather than reverting to the Vikings’ injured reserve list.Roc Thomas out, Ameer Abdullah in. What are your thoughts, ladies and gentlemen?

Chad Beebe Another move for the Minnesota Vikings http://www.thevikingsfootballauthentic.com/andrew-sendejo-jersey-authentic , and this one comes as a mild surprise as well, at least to anyone that thought that the purple might be rostering a sixth wide receiver.According to Close, Personal Friend of the Daily Norseman Tom Pelissero the Vikings will be releasing wide receiver Chad Beebe, though they do want him back on the practice squad if Bill Belichick doesn’t claim him on waivers.(Come on, you know you were all thinking it Youth Mike Hughes Jersey , too.)Beebe, the son of former Buffalo Bills receiver Don Beebe, had a pretty impressive preseason, particularly in the third game against the Seattle Seahawks where he caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Sloter in the final moments to put the Vikings in a position to win the game. I do hope that he clears waivers and finds his way back to Minnesota. We’re three hours away from the deadline, ladies and gentlemen Womens Danielle Hunter Jersey , so the moves will be coming in fast and furious from here. Keep your browser pointed at The Daily Norseman and watch the roster take shape! The Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets have just released their inactive lists for today’s game at MetLife Stadium, and the injury report for the Vikings had a pretty significant surprise on it.Defensive tackle Linval Joseph, one of the team’s leaders on the defensive line, was declared as inactive for the game this afternoon.Joseph did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday this week, as he was listed with ankle Womens Dalvin Cook Jersey , knee, and shoulder issues. He was a limited participant on Friday, and the team has made the decision that he will be down for this afternoon’s game against the Jets. This does sort of help to clarify why the Vikings’ brought back defensive tackle David Parry after placing cornerback Mike Hughes on injured reserve earlier this week. It would appear that they had some inkling that Joseph might not be able to go for this one, and decided that they needed to shore up their depth in the middle of the defensive line. The team has announced that Jaleel Johnson will be making his first career NFL start in Joseph’s spot next to Sheldon Richardson.Once again, Linval Joseph is inactive for the Vikings this afternoon against the New York Jets.

in prime time and it’s pretty obvious that the Patriots need some time to get healthy. The injury report is enormous and there are new players listed that have key roles on the team.Yikes.Here’s the report from Wednesday.Did Not PracticeEdelman and Mason are new additions to the injury report James White Jersey , while Wise had previously been “limited” with ankle and knee injuries. Hopefully all three will be able to play on Sunday night against the Packers. Hollister and Schwenke aren’t expected to contribute.Perry is a key defender for Green Bay.Limited PracticeNo players came off the injury report for the Patriots, but Allen and Cardona are also new additions. It’s never a good sign when your special teams stars are injured. Both the Patriots and the Packers have incredibly important players listed on the report. We’ll see if they remain on the report as the week continues. Cyrus Jones was sure his tenure with the Patriots was over when he was cut at the end of training camp earlier this month.New England chose to sever ties with the cornerback and return man, a second-round pick in 2016, after an underwhelming two-year tenure. It included fumble issues and a right knee injury that caused him to miss the 2017 season. It is why Jones said he was "blown away" when he got a call from his agent Monday night saying that the Patriots wanted to re-sign him.A deal was completed, and Jones was added to the 53-man roster on Wednesday. He practiced for the first time with his old team Thursday."Everybody was excited to see me, as I was excited to see them," said Jones, who had been on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad since being released by New England.Jones has been working with the safeties since his return Authentic Stephen Gostkowski Jersey , a position that took a hit when starter Patrick Chung suffered a concussion during New England's loss at Jacksonville.Devin McCourty, Duron Harmon and Nate Ebner — a primary special teamer — are the only other safeties on the depth chart. So, if Chung isn't cleared to play this weekend against Detroit, the chances are high that Jones will see at least some action.McCourty said he started beaming when he saw Jones back in the team cafeteria."Even when he left and went to Baltimore, I was texting him to see how he was doing," McCourty said. "It was a good feeling seeing him come back in here."Jones appeared in 10 games for the Patriots in 2016, making one start. But he had more fumbles (five on 19 punt and kick returns) than tackles (three) on defense. He was making progress this spring after his knee surgery, but it wasn't enough to secure him a roster spot when New England made its initial 53-man cut.He said he's not looking at this second opportunity as a chance at redemption."I'm just here to do a job Youth Ryan Allen Jersey , just like everybody else," Jones said. "I don't look at it like that. I look at it as another opportunity, just like it was when I was in Baltimore. Just like I did when I left here. Trying to be the best guy on Sundays."But Jones acknowledged "it hurt" not being on a roster to open the season."I get that opportunity being back here, so I'm going to make the most of it," he said.Jones said he's put the past and the circumstances surrounding his initial departure behind him. He said he respects the Patriots reasons for letting him go."Whether I was working my way back from injury or whatever — who wants to get cut?" Jones said. "It really didn't matter the circumstances of why I got cut. It didn't matter. That wasn't important to me. It happened, and I dealt with it like a man and moved on."Fortunately enough, coach thought enough of me to bring me back and to help this team win. That's what I'm gonna focus on doing."Notes: TE Rob Gronkowski was limited in practice Thursday with an ankle issue. Chung and DE Trey Flowers both sat out the second straight day as they continue to go through the league's concussion protocol.

Titans did not just see the team outplayed in all three phases Authentic Jonathan Jones Jersey , but also lose some important pieces to injury: starting left tackle Trent Brown left the game because of a back issue, tight end Dwayne Allen hurt his knee, and Julian Edelman exited due to of an ankle injury suffered on an unsuccessful fourth down attempt in the fourth quarter. While there are no updates about Brown and Allen yet, the first report about Edelman is an encouraging one (according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter):On a day when the Patriots struggled to compete on offense Womens Rex Burkhead Jersey , Edelman was one of the few bright spots: the veteran finished the day with a team-high nine receptions for 108 yards as quarterback Tom Brady’s go-to guy — a role he held ever since returning from his four-game suspension to open the game. Because of that, his injury status is one keeping a close eye on moving forward. However, with Schefter’s report in combination with New England’s bye week coming up it appears the team and Edelman dodged a bullet.Pats Pulpit Podcast Episode 116: Patriots crush Colts, can they counter the Chiefs? We tend to find out why when NFL pass catchers open their mouths.Cases in point most recently would be two of football's biggest stars http://www.sandiegochargersteamonline.com/kyzir-white-jersey , Antonio Brown and Odell Beckham Jr. What they've spouted, no matter how it gets spun and by whom, can't be anything but detrimental to the team. The history of wideouts with wide mouths 鈥?or free rein on social media nowadays 鈥?includes, naturally, the likes of Terrell Owens, Plaxico Burress, Keyshawn Johnson and Chad Johnson/Ochocinco. To call their utterings constructive criticism would be like calling Lambeau Field balmy in December. And they hardly are the only guys who have damaged the locker room vibes with their, well, bad vibes. Do you think cornerback Jalen Ramsey deriding opposing players made for comfortable feelings in Jacksonville? Guard Richie Incognito bullying a teammate in Miami? Jay Cutler calling out his own guys just about everywhere, including on the sideline?Hey, cornerback Josh Norman and Beckham pretty much came to blows in a 2015 game after their trash-talking shenanigans.Sure, lots if not most NFL players like to run their tongues during games. Philip Rivers might not be the greatest Chargers quarterback ever 鈥?remember Hall of Famer Dan Fouts? 鈥?but he's unquestionably the franchise's great trash-spewing QB. Steve Smith http://www.sandiegochargersteamonline.com/melvin-gordon-jersey , one of the most combative receivers the NFL has seen, definitely didn't believe in the bromide "if you have nothing good to say, say nothing."And Ray Lewis not only was an all-world tackler and leader for the Ravens, his stream of words directed at opponents was steady 鈥?and often comical, if unprintable. But in the particular cases of Brown and Beckham, there can be considerable negative fallout for their clubs. So much so that the tension and mistrust they create can be as damaging as a fourth-quarter pick-6 by an opponent.Brown might be the NFL's most talented offensive player. He might also be the most thin-skinned.Among other items this year, he tweeted that Pittsburgh should "trade me let's find out" when it was suggested his success is due more to Ben Roethlisberger than to Brown's skills. Brown also didn't show up at team headquarters for a day last month, and famously once livestreamed a locker room celebration following a playoff victory over Kansas City.He also used Twitter in September to threaten a reporter who covers the team, forcing the Steelers to issue an apology. Explaining away Brown's behavior, words and social media posts has become nearly a regular chore in Pittsburgh. All of this doesn't mean Brown needs to be sat down by the Steelers, which isn't likely to happen considering they are in the business of winning games and he is their best player. It does mean he should be sat down and told that his proclamations and actions are a distraction for a team that isn't exactly tearing up the NFL, sitting tied with Cleveland and behind Cincinnati and Baltimore in the AFC North. The Beckham blowups have been more inflammatory and http://www.sandiegochargersteamonline.com/joey-bosa-jersey , without question, potentially more harmful. When you question your teammates' heart while carefully removing yourself from such a claim, irreparable damage often results."A lot of it has to do with the energy we have that we don't bring every single day," he said last week. "You know me, I'm a passionate, energetic person. I always have to have that. If I don't, it's going to be a problem for me. Playing with some heart, we need to play with some heart."Beckham also blasted the play-calling of first-year coach Pat Shurmur, mainly because, in Beckham's view, he wasn't getting the ball enough, particularly deep. Never mind that the offensive line has been such a sieve that asking Eli Manning to throw balls anywhere downfield has often been problematic.Recognizing how counter-productive his comments were 鈥?or being instructed by a livid coach or http://www.sandiegochargersteamonline.com/jahleel-addae-jersey , perhaps, someone higher up in the Giants' command chain 鈥?Beckham went into crisis control last Sunday. He asked to speak to the team in the locker room, and then he ran something of a fly pattern away from his earlier statements. This season is hardly the first time Brown or Beckham have acted up or acted out. It probably won't be the last. But maybe the concept of "team first" will sink in before what they do or say sinks their teams. The New England Patriots currently have 89 players on their active roster. However Authentic Trent Brown Jersey , only 53 of them will be able to survive the cutdowns on September 1 and ultimately make the team. Over the course of the offseason, we take a look at the players fighting for those spots to find out who has the best chances of helping the Patriots recapture the Vince Lombardi Trophy.Today, the series continues with one of New England’s defensive linemen.Name: Deatrich Wise Jr.Position: Defensive edgeJersey number: 91Opening day age: 24Experience: 1Size: 6’5, 275 lbs.2017 review: The New England Patriots picked four players during the 2017 NFL draft, but only one of them actually found his way onto the team’s 53-man roster: Deatrich Wise Jr., who heard his name called in the fourth round and turned out to be a very good selection for New England during his rookie year. In fact, the Arkansas product served as the de-facto number two defensive edge behind fellow ex-Razorback Trey Flowers. In that role, Wise Jr. appeared in all 16 of the Patriots’ regular season contests and played 51.2% of New England’s defensive snaps (543 of 1,060). And even though his playing time decreased later during the year to a point where he played only 23.6% of snaps (51 of 216) in the postseason – mostly due to the additions of Eric Lee and James Harrison –, the 131st overall draft pick remained a productive presence opposite Flowers.Through the Patriots’ last six games of the season and with his role more specifically that of a pass rushing specialist, Wise Jr. registered 4.0 sacks to bring his season total to 7.0 – second-most on the team behind only Flowers. His impact was not limited to quarterback takedowns http://www.newenglandpatriotsteamonline.com/ryan-allen-jersey , though, as the rookie also was a regular disruptor of opposing passers: Wise Jr. finished the season with an additional 14 hits and 13 hurries. He still had his rookie hiccups, though: while productive as a pass rusher, Wise Jr. was a bit inconsistent at times and also had issues when it came to setting the edge in the running game (which played a role in the team adding the aforementioned Lee and Harrison late in the year). Overall, however, his first NFL season can still be seen as a success: Wise Jr. acclimated well to life in the pros and laid a solid foundation for the future.2018 preview: Following his encouraging rookie campaign, Wise Jr. appears poised to make the famed second-year leap in 2018: the 24-year old was one of the Patriots’ training camp standouts due to his high-motor during team drills and competitiveness when going one-on-one against the team’s projected starting offensive linemen. Consequently, he received plenty of opportunities to play together with the top defensive lineup.Given his performance over the summer, Wise Jr. is expected to continue seeing considerable playing time in year two. While a deeper rotation at the defensive edge positions should lead to a decreased total number of snaps for him, Wise Jr. should be a beneficiary of playing in a group that saw the additions of Derek Rivers (off injured reserve) and Adrian Clayborn (via free agency) over the course of the offseason. The second-year man will still see a lot of time, but possibly in a more clearly-defined role as a situational pass rusher – a usage that fit him well last year and allowed him to play to his strengths. As such Authentic Jonathan Jones Jersey , he will likely be on the field for 30-40% of defensive snaps. And all things considered, it would not be a surprise if Wise Jr. turned out to be the Patriots’ most productive pass rusher this season as opposed to the higher-profile Flowers or Clayborn. Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler knows why he has struggled so much that opposing quarterbacks keep picking on him."Just got to be more detailed and more disciplined on those little things," Butler said Wednesday. "I threw that last eight weeks behind me, and I got a whole 'nother eight weeks to try to make up for it."Butler has to do something. The Titans have allowed the fewest touchdowns in the NFL with 14. Yet, Butler has been the weak link: He has allowed the most touchdown passes (seven) and most yards receiving (618) of any cornerback in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. The Dallas Cowboys scored both of their TDs at Butler's expense Monday night in Tennessee's 28-14 victory.Butler is the cornerback that New England benched during the Super Bowl last February when the Patriots lost to Philadelphia. He then signed a five-year deal worth more than $60 million with $30 million guaranteed with the Titans in March. He started the first five games this season. Over the past three, the Titans have started Adoree Jackson alongside Logan Ryan with Butler as the third cornerback. With Butler on the field, Dak Prescott hit Amari Cooper for a 4-yard touchdown pass with his receiver creating space from Butler by running right before cutting back toward the left pylon. Butler appeared to look back at Prescott and left Allen Hurns wide open for a 23-yard TD pass.Butler plays aggressively, which he said is hard to balance at times."Just got to work my way around it and just make plays and play football and do what I've been doing my whole career," Butler said. "Just got to hold up."His next challenge comes Sunday against his former team when Tom Brady and the Patriots (7-2) visit the Titans (4-4). The Titans have been coaching Butler on his issues, and coach Mike Vrabel said Butler needs to have his eyes on the receiver in man coverage and not Brady."Malcolm knows that Womens Rex Burkhead Jersey , and we've talked about that, and we continue to practice it, we continue to coach it and we try to show it to him," Vrabel said. "When he does that, it's pretty good, it's competitive. He challenges the receivers. When you look back at the quarterback, your man has a tendency to go in another direction."Patriots coach Bill Belichick still has not said why he benched Butler and wouldn't discuss the cornerback specifically on Wednesday when asked what Butler is doing differently. Instead, the coach talked about the Titans' defense, which leads the NFL in fewest points allowed per game."That's our challenge as an offense is we're playing 11 guys, we're playing their coaching staff and the schemes they put up against us," Belichick said. "And Authentic Danny Shelton Jersey , right now, they're playing better defense than anybody in the league. So, we'll see how we do."Patriots receiver Julian Edelman said Butler is a cornerback who's strong at playing the ball in the air. Edelman also has a lot of respect for a man he called a "heart player," whose progress from being undrafted out of West Alabama to now is proof of the cornerback's hard work."He's gotten beat a couple of times, but that goes with the nature of his game," Edelman said. "He's a real aggressive player that competes, plays the ball well through your hands. He's long, (strong) upper body. He's got that ability to make up speed with the ball in the air while looking back. A lot of corners can't do that. I got a lot of respect for Malcolm."Notes: The Titans held a walk-through practice Wednesday. RT Jack Conklin (concussion protocol) did not practice along with WR Taywan Taylor, whose left foot was in a walking boot in the locker room; LB Daren Bates (illness); and S Dane Cruikshank (knee). LB Derrick Morgan (shoulder) and WR Tajae Sharpe (right ankle) were limited.AP Sports Writer Kyle Hightower contributed to this report from Foxborough, Massachusetts.Follow Teresa M. can best handle the franchise's first trip to London for a regular-season game:Sleep as much as possible on the plane."That's the biggest thing man Caleb Sturgis Jersey ," said Correa, who has played in London previously while with Baltimore. "Just get some sleep on the plane because if you don't, then you're not going to be in a good place because as soon as we land we're moving already. We're going to be going to meetings and film and walk-through. If you don't get sleep, you're going to be far behind, so you've got to get some rest."The Titans (3-3) practiced at home Thursday before heading to the airport for the nonstop flight to London. Coach Mike Vrabel joked that the reason for the later departure was because his passport didn't arrive until Thursday. The real reason was much more practical for a franchise that has played outside the United States only twice, both preseason games, with the last in 1994 in Mexico City when still the Houston Oilers."We wanted to try to keep everything as normal as possible," Vrabel said. "We have a great facility here. Guys like to sleep in their own beds, they like to see their wives, they like to see their kids. That's part of their routine. I felt like after talking to some people, you could do it either way."You could go over there and you can spend a week over there, you could arrive Friday morning, and we're excited."The Titans shipped some equipment to London by ship during the summer, taking advantage of having bought extra gear last year when the team spent a week in Arizona between games out West. This is the second trip to London for the Chargers, who played in London in 2008, and for their coach Anthony Lynn. He spent the entire week in England on his first trip. This time, Lynn has checked out how other teams have approached the trip and chose to give his team more time to sleep and game plan before traveling. The Chargers (4-2) stayed in Ohio after beating the Browns last weekend and also are flying to London on Thursday."Hopefully, it works," Lynn said. "Anytime you're on a plane that long, it's not ideal to get off and go through things. But Cheap Melvin Ingram Jersey , like I said, we'll get there Friday and we'll have Friday to relax, and Saturday to recover, and go play the game on Sunday."Correa played in London last season while with the Ravens. Safety Johnathan Cyprien, currently on injured reserve, played in London with the Jaguars. Linebacker Will Compton, who is dealing with an injured hamstring, and safety Kenny Vaccaro also have played in London with other teams.Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota has been on plenty of long airplane rides, and he agrees with his fellow Hawaii native that sleep is the best approach to deal with jetlag. Mariota has had enough practice that he says he sleeps well on planes. The Titans will have seats that stretch out to help them sleep. The Titans will have some time Friday night and Saturday for potential sightseeing, and many of the players have family also traveling. Taking care of business is the Titans' main focus. They've lost two straight and need a win going into their bye to keep themselves atop the struggling AFC South."This will be my first time in London, so I'm excited. The team is excited," safety Kevin Byard said. "But the main thing is to go out there and get a W, and that's what we want to go do."Notes: LB Wesley Woodyard (shoulder) practiced fully for the first time since hurting his shoulder Sept. 30. Vaccaro (elbow) was limited for a second straight day. DL Bennie Logan also practiced fully. Compton, LB Derrick Morgan (shoulder) and LG Quinton Spain (right shoulder) did not practice.Follow Teresa M. Walker at teresamwalker11 takeaways from the Chargers 36-7 loss to the Saints The third preseason game for the Los Angeles Chargers, also known as the annual “dress rehearsal,” has come and gone with the home team losing 36-7 to the New Orleans Saints. While the score certainly isn’t very pretty, I don’t think things are quite as bleak as a 29-point loss might otherwise suggest. The truth is, the Chargers starters played pretty well on both sides of the ball. The offense, in particular, put together two solid drives against a talented and well-coached New Orleans defense – even if one ended when Rivers failed to connect with Mike Williams on a fourth-and-goal jump ball. Meanwhile Cheap Jahleel Addae Jersey , the first team defense intercepted Drew Brees and limited the Saints to a touchdown and two field goals in three red zone trips.Let’s take a look at some of the things that stood out to me – both good and bad – in Saturday’s loss to the Saints:When in doubt, run left: Mike Pouncey, Dan Feeney, and Russell Okung look like a major strength for this offense. Austin Ekeler ran the ball six times for 50 yards during the first two drives, including four carries for 38 yards behind the left side of the line. Pouncey, Feeney, and Okung didn’t just control the line of scrimmage, they owned it, and Ken Whisenhunt wasn’t the least bit shy about leaning on them. This is going to be a fun group to watch during the regular season.Austin Ekeler – RB1?: With Melvin Gordon unavailable on Saturday, Austin Ekeler started the game and was the focal point of each of the Chargers’ first two drives. Ken Whisenhunt called Ekeler’s number nine times in the team’s first seventeen offensive plays and was rewarded with 63 total yards. While I’m half-kidding when I suggest Ekeler is RB1, his vision, burst, elusiveness, and hands out of the backfield might have him ready to take on a much larger role this year. He looked fantastic.A glimpse of things to come?: The Chargers’ first drive may have revealed a new, more aggressive attitude on the part of head coach Anthony Lynn. Faced with a fourth-and-goal from the Saints four-yard line, Lynn eschewed a chip-shot field goal in favor of a jump ball for Mike Williams. Granted, Williams didn’t get open and the Chargers failed to convert, but it’s pretty telling that Lynn opted to go for it on fourth down instead of kicking the ball with a somewhat murky kicking competition taking place in camp. It seems like a big vote of confidence for Mike Williams in what has been a preseason of baby steps for the former #7 overall pick.Detrez is the man: There is little doubt at this point that Detrez Newsome is the favorite to win the third-string running back job. While his stats on Saturday certainly weren’t eye-popping, he finished with 14 touches for 44 yards and an eight-yard touchdown run. Newsome strikes me as the ideal complement to Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler and, for the first time in years Cheap Denzel Perryman Jersey , the Chargers appear to have a dynamic and versatile three-man backfield. Detrez earned it.JJ just misses: The fact that Travis Benjamin and Desmond King served as the primary return men on Saturday probably suggests Jones won’t make the roster. JJ simply isn’t an NFL wide receiver and, even with his potential as a return specialist, I the coaches likely can’t justify keeping seven receivers if the seventh man can’t at least break camp as the primary return specialist. That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if the team tries to protect him by including him on the initial 53-man roster with the intention of transferring him to the practice squad after the rest of the league has announced their practice squads. He could serve as a “placeholder” for an Antonio Gates signing, assuming the team ultimately brings him in.It’s Gates time: The Chargers played a third straight game in which their tight ends struggled to contribute as targets in the passing game. Sean Culkin caught his lone target for a seven-yard gain, but the group was otherwise invisible in the passing game. While I don’t think adding Antonio Gates changes much for this position group in terms of consistent playmaking ability, I do think his signing is probably inevitable. With that in mind, let’s get it done, already, so we can stop talking about it.Let Pooh Bear eat: Derwin James started his first game as a Charger and celebrated with an interception, a couple big hits, and a couple third down stops. Derwin showed a bit of everything you look for in a free safety when he intercepted Drew Brees on the third play of the game, including anticipation, range and electric ball skills. He’s arguably the best athlete on the team and possesses the best natural ball skills of any safety on the roster. He’s also the only safety on the roster capable of making that play. Stick James back there and good things will happen.White-out at WILL:Derwin James wasn’t the only rookie to start his first game as a Charger, as fourth-round pick Kyzir White got the nod at weakside linebacker (WILL). While he didn’t make any splash plays, White looked really good in man coverage, made a couple stops in the run game, and didn’t miss any tackles. I think he needs to work on how he reacts to play-action (a little too aggressive) and he seemed to be thinking a little out there, but it wasn’t bad for a rookie who missed the second preseason game.Brown on the bubble?: Jatavis Brown looked lost against the Saints. After making consecutive run stops to start the third quarter, Brown promptly missed his next seven tackle attempts Tyrell Williams Jersey , including an embarrassing whiff on Taysom Hill at the goal line. His reads were inconsistent, his angles were extremely poor and he was routinely beat to the edge. He looked even worse than Dwight Lowery did against the 49ers last preseason – right before he got cut. While I’m not totally convinced he’ll get cut, I think next week could ultimately decide Jatavis’ fate.Mager is in: It’s becoming pretty apparent that Craig Mager has the fifth cornerback spot on lockdown. He started the game opposite Michael Davis on the boundary, then played well into the third quarter while rotating inside to the slot. Mager went a third straight game without being targeted and I thought he played with solid technique and was generally in good position. Outside of eating a nasty stiff arm from Michael Thomas in the second quarter, Craig didn’t do anything to make me think he’s going to relinquish his hold on what figures to be the fifth and final spot on the depth chart.Chargers eliminate the dirty laundry: I thought the team executed more efficiently in all three phases of the game against the Saints and, most importantly, they more or less eliminated the mental and physical errors that led to 28 penalties over the first two preseason games. Granted, some of that is the direct result of getting the starters extended snaps, but the team definitely played its cleanest preseason game to date. In addition to avoiding major injuries, that’s the best possible outcome from the third preseason game.Well, those are my notes from the Chargers third preseason game. Overall, I thought the starters played pretty well on offense and defense, the majority of the camp battles have come to their conclusion, and the Bolts cleaned up the stupid mistakes they made through the first two preseason games. All in all, it was a pretty successful dress rehearsal for the starters. Don’t even get me started on the backups.

The NFL preseason is a practice test. Nothing more Youth Mike Pouncey Jersey , nothing less. Hopefully, a team on the rise can put in quality play, show progress in depth and have some tough decisions to make when it comes time for roster cuts. If you want to win the NFL preseason, that’s the way to do so. Wins are significant, showing quality depth is so much more. The Los Angeles Chargers crossed the 2018 preseason finish line with a record of 2-2. One close loss, one narrow win, one come from behind victory, one blowout. On average, that’s a solid performance for a team trending up the ladder. Following Saturday’s roster cuts to get the team down from 90 to 53 total players, Los Angeles is looking to start the season off on a high note against rival Kansas City Chiefs. After a highly regarded offseason, many of the national reporters still can’t stop gushing over the Chargers team heading into the regular season. Anthony Lynn’s squad is ready to start the season, perhaps more prepared than they have been in a long time. Although the losses of key contributors such as tight end Hunter Henry and cornerback Jason Verrett do sting, the Chargers are strong at nearly every position heading into week 1. Which brings us to the main the question, how good can the Chargers be this season? “Our expectation is the same,“ Lynn said via Chargers.com, “Our expectations haven’t changed one bit.” Of course, any coach will give a statement like that. Part of that is to keep the media at bay, partially due to the fact he believes it. Mostly, however, it’s to keep players motivated week in and week out through the scorching heat of practice. It’s to keep the players fighting when they’re drained. It’s to keep his team on track when morale is low inside the locker room. The Cleveland Browns have been saying this is their year since the franchise returned in 1999. The result? New year, new quarterback(s), same results. Yes, it was only preseason. It was a dress rehearsal for the big shindig coming September 9th. But the key players who needed to step up certainly impressed when out there, no matter how little time they played. While Melvin Gordon only played in two preseason games, he showed the ability to score in the red zone with a two-yard touchdown run against the Seattle Seahawks. Appearing balanced behind a refreshed offensive line Youth Denzel Perryman Jersey , the former Wisconsin running back will try to continue his success from last year with a second straight 1000 yards season.Philip Rivers is saddling up for perhaps the final ride of his career. There’s no telling if the 36-year-old will call it a career after the 2018 season. He’ll turn 37 the day before the Chargers host the Cincinnati Bengals. His body is no longer as limber as it once was. A shot to the arm from an impressive edge defender no longer is a stinger; it’s a lingering injury. Through thick and thin though, Rivers has stood by his organization. Through losing seasons, consistent draft bust and even a relocation, Rivers has been the face of the team and the franchise quarterback that could have never been. In a way, the Chargers should be thankful that Eli Manning didn’t want to head to San Diego. Who knows what the narrative would be now?Since the arrival of current Chargers general manager Tom Telesco, three of his six first-round picks have hit, two are on the rise, one fizzled out. But it’s also what Telesco and company have done during the middle rounds that make the Chargers exciting for the upcoming season. In his first season, Telesco wanted to add another receiver to replace Vincent Jackson. He chose a talented pass catcher with a list of injuries coming out of college, most recently a posterior cruciate ligament sprain. Last season, Keenan Allen collected his first season with 100 receptions and second year with 1000+ yards. In 2015, Telesco added competition in the linebacker unit with his second round selection. Coming off a 100+ tackle season for the Hurricanes, Telesco wanted a tackling machine up the middle. While his career hasn’t been entirely memorable, Denzel Perryman has been a quality linebacker on the field for the Chargers defense over the past four seasons. Kyle Emanuel is start as the team’s SAM linebacker, Tyrell Williams has been a quality depth receiver, Henry is the team’s top tight end, Drew Kaser is averaging a career 47.3 yards per punt and Derek Watt has been the key factor on special team’s and in the red zone. Even Jatavis Brown is still a starting linebacker for the Chargers heading into the regular season following a rough preseason. The all have three things in common; they’re Telesco players, they’re mid-round selections, and they’re all contributors to the Chargers growth. It’s too early to judge the last two draft classes from the Bolts heading into 2018, but from an outside view, it looks like a win. Dan Feeney and Forrest Lamp are both expected to start this season at guards so long as Lamp can remain healthy. Cornerback Desmond King is already one of the team’s best secondary members following a 76 tackles, four sack rookie campaign. His role could expand more than just the team’s nickel cornerback moving forward. This year’s draft class has made an early impression as well. Uchenna Nwosu and Kyzir White both had strong preseasons, combining for 20 total tackles and one sack this preseason. Both rookies are fighting for first-team reps against Emanuel and Brown at outside linebacker with a legitimate chance to win the jobs. As for the team’s first-round picks, their status is still up in the air. Both wide receiver Mike Williams and safety Derwin James were highly regarded at their position during the time of the draft, with some even considering them the top wide receiver and safety in their respective classes. One of the biggest wins for Los Angeles is their selection spots. Both years http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-caleb-sturgis-jersey , the Chargers stayed put without having to move up to snag the pair. Williams rookie year was plagued by injuries from the get-go. A herniated disc kept the former Clemson standout sidelined for all of the preseason and the start of the year. Williams would suit up for ten games and finish his rookie campaign with just 11 receptions for 95 yards. Williams seems to be ready for this sophomore season under the powder blue uniform. Looking rejuvenated heading into Sunday’s showdown, Williams collected four receptions for 56 yards and touchdown. Are those numbers elite? Not by any means. They are sufficient though for a starter looking to bounce back and show progress. “I just feel like I’m in the groove,“ Williams said via Chargers.com, “I felt the offseason was great for me, so I’m just taking full advantage for every opportunity I get every time I step out on the field.”James, on the other hand, could be the biggest steal of the first round by season’s end. A versatile, yet hard-hitting safety out of Florida State, many projected the former Seminole wouldn’t get past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the seventh overall pick. The Bucs traded their spot for the Buffalo Bills to draft their hopeful franchise quarterback in Josh Allen, passed on James again and let the Bolts stand their ground at 17 to make him a Charger. The early results have been promising to say the least. James has been a heat-seeking missile for the team’s defense in multiple positions. Taking reps at both free safety and strong safety, along with seeing several reps even at the team’s weak-side linebacker position, James finished the preseason strong with nine tackles, two pass deflections, and an interception. James began camp running with the team’s second-team defense. He won’t be doing that anymore this season. Chargers defensive coordinator Gus Bradley announced last month that he would be starting moving forward.“I’d put (James’ I.Q.) pretty high now,” Bradley said via Chargers.com. “We’re asking him to do quite a few things.” “That means they really all have to play both positions. As a rookie, that’s pretty challenging, and he’s picking it up. Like I said, in the classroom, he’s pretty sharp. He just needs to go out on the field and do it consistently.”Let’s say it like it is: the Chargers are a young team now. In fact, according to Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice, the Chargers are the 14th youngest team in the NFL with an average age of 25.8 years old.Yes, Los Angeles will heavily rely on Rivers to continue being one of the league’s most underrated players under center. Sure, they’ll have the safety net of tight end Antonio Gates in the red zone following his resigning with the team last Saturday. Veteran talent will be vital to keeping these young players intact. But this is now a youth movement out in Los Angeles. If Telesco’s last two drafts are home runs all around, the Chargers could slowly leave the conversation of being playoff contenders and enter the realm of being Super Bowl contenders. The Chargers on paper might be the most complete team in the AFC West heading into Thursday night when the season officially will begin. The Denver Broncos have a top caliber defense but are looking to find some offensive identity with a quarterback. Case Keenum is a solid bridge starter, but he won’t be the future up in Mile High Stadium. The Chiefs are relying predominately on second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes to carry the offense alongside Tyreek Hill Authentic Virgil Green Jersey , Sammy Watkins, and last year’s league leader Kareem Hunt. While their offensive line is stable, their defense is plagued with holes, mainly in the secondary. Expect for them to be winning games in high scoring fashion or losing by a substantial amount. As for the Oakland Raiders, the entire AFC West should be thanking GM Reggie McKenzie for signing away his rights to grab head coach John Gruden. While Gruden is a talented analyst and has won a Super Bowl, the last time he called plays on the sideline took place back in 2008. It seems he’s still coaching that way following the recent trade of “troublemaker” Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears. If the offensive line can continue to compete, open running lanes for Gordon and allow Rivers enough time to find a receiver downfield, the defense should be able to contain offense’s from consistently finding the end zone. There’s a reason the Chargers have been one of the more talked about teams in the eye’s of the national media; they’ve earned it. Alongside the Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, and San Francisco 49ers, there might not be a more exciting team to watch this year than the boys down at StubHub Stadium. There’s plenty of questions that will be answered early on this season surrounding the youthful talent that will make up a majority of the Chargers starting lineup. If they all hit, sit back and relax Charger nation. This could be the season fans will be talking about for years to come.Jason Verrett is done for the season, but what’s next? In the NFL, every year is a blank slate. With each turn in the calendar comes brand new opportunity for success waiting to be seized by whichever team is up next in the ever-changing hierarchy of the league. In turn, also comes the inevitable disappointment that is attributed to the teams that finds themselves lower in the standings than they envisioned at the start of the season. The NFL is far from predictable and nothing is certain—well, almost nothing. For certain teams, some things never change. For instance, you can enter the season expecting to see the Patriots win at least eleven games and you can expect to see the Browns lose eleven games. These things happen virtually every year, with a rare exception here and there. Today we were reminded that similarly, the Los Angeles Chargers have a seemingly inevitable annual tradition of their own. That being the fact that no matter how high, or how low, the hopes for the coming season, several of the team’s best players will suffer devastating injuries that drive a knife through the collective hearts of fans far and wide. For the fourth time in five seasons, the heartbreaking injury was sustained by former Pro Bowl cornerback, Jason Verrett. The frequency at which Verrett has seen his season come to an end due to injury has caused this one in particular to feel numb Youth Caleb Sturgis Jersey , in a way. It is supremely disappointing to see, of course, but at this point it would be more shocking if he went a full season without being injured than if he were to tear his Achilles during a conditioning test on the first day of camp—as absurd as that is. The injury is devastating, but not in the same way as others, such as the one suffered by Hunter Henry recently. Henry’s injury was a major blow to the team as they lost one of their top offensive weapons, leading one to be concerned with how they make up for the loss on the field. Verrett’s injury, on the other hand, brings no such concerns. It is indeed devastating, but only because it causes you to feel great sorrow for Verrett as a person. To see what could have been a great career be decimated by injuries is a shame. Due to his injury history and how well the secondary performed without him last season, it would have been a bonus to have Verrett in the lineup, not an expectation or necessity. In fact, his return this season would have caused a serious log jam at the position for the team. After he went down last season, Trevor Williams emerged as a more than adequate CB2 while then rookie, Desmond King, excelled as the team’s slot corner. Bringing Verrett back into the mix would have forced one of these players to the bench, and possibly to another position—in King’s case. While it is awful to see Verrett miss the season, it does serve to alleviate one of the team’s more pressing issues heading into camp, allowing them to retain some continuity in the secondary. So if there were ever a bright side to losing a Pro Bowl player before the start of the season, this is it. In short, the team’s secondary will perform at a high level next season, with or without Jason Verrett. The near future is still as bright as ever for the Los Angeles Chargers, but it couldn’t be darker for the career of Jason Verrett. Any chances he had of obtaining a multi-year extension with the team went out the window the second his Achilles tendon snapped. Now, a player who once looked to be one of the best young cornerbacks in the NFL will likely find himself taking a one-year deal next offseason, with that contract being his last chance to prove he can remain healthy and make it in the NFL. Football is a cruel sport.

Monday night's Chiefs-Rams showdown is the desert following a Sunday main dish that will have at least three games with high-scoring upside (Cowboys-Falcons Authentic Ted Ginn Jr Jersey , Buccaneers-Giants, Eagles-Saints) with Panthers-Lions and Titans-Colts having a chance to turn the whole week into a fantasy wonderland. While scoring will be abundant and must-starts overflow, keep in mind there are some players who, even in those potential slugfests, will be best served on the sidelines rather than indulging in the fun.START: Carson Wentz, QB, Eagles: Wentz has six straight games with at least two touchdown passes and has attempted at least 35 passes in all but one of his starts. That's a strong combination going against a Saints defense that is 28th in net passing yards allowed and 31st in average fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. With the Eagles struggling to run the ball (22nd overall), it would not be surprising if Wentz finished north of 50 pass attempts in what will be a marathon shootout.SIT: Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers: The Jaguars lead the league in fewest passing yards allowed and have allowed just 12 touchdown passes. Roethlisberger has rarely had success against the Jags, sporting a mere 80.8 rating with a 10-8 TD:INT margin in seven career games versus Jacksonville. He also feels the wrath of the Jaguars' pass rush, having been sacked 22 times (3.1 per game). Roethlisberger will get a touchdown or two, but don't count on him being a fantasy factor.START: Amari Cooper, WR, Cowboys: Unlike Derek Carr and the Raiders, Dak Prescott has treated Cooper as a WR1, having thrown to him 18 times in his first two games with Dallas. He gets a great matchup in the form of a Falcons defense that ranks 30th in Fantasy points per game allowed to opposing receivers and ranks 27th in receiving yards allowed. In what should be a track meet, Cooper will get 10-plus targets and is a strong bet to record his first 100-yard afternoon with his new teammates.SIT: Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals: Without A.J. Green in the lineup in last week's loss to the Saints, Boyd faltered as the featured receiver, catching only three passes. Things will get a lot worse before it gets better, as Boyd much contend with Baltimore's lockdown of a pass defense that is second in both fewest receiving yards allowed and fewest yards per catch. While Boyd should see more than the four targets he got last week, it's hard to envision him doing significant damage against the Ravens' secondary.START: Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears: He will lose some value in non-PPR formats, but Cohen is a worthy start in PPR leagues as he takes on a Vikings defense that has struggled all season with stopping pass catching backs. Minnesota allows more than 10 yards per catch to opposing backs Womens Ken Crawley Jersey , which plays into the strengths of Cohen, who has had four games this season with at least six receptions and at least 69 yards receiving. Whatever he gets on the ground is gravy compared to what he can do as a receiver.SIT: Josh Adams, RB, Eagles: One of the hotter pickups on the waiver wire, Adams has averaged better than six yards per carry in his last three games and is expected to see more touches against the Saints. Back away, at least for this week, as the Saints allow a league-best 80.1 yards per game and a paltry 3.7 yards per attempt. Although the presence of Adams could break up the logjam that is the Philadelphia backfield, it's a fool's errand to run him out there on Sunday.START: Eli Manning, QB, Giants: Monday night's win over the 49ers was perhaps the first sign of what the Giants' offense can do. They'll give a second lesson to the Buccaneers, who are 29th in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Tampa Bay is also 31st in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing receivers, making Sterling Shepard a good tag-along to Odell Beckham Jr. Manning has yet to record a game this season with better than 25 fantasy points, but if he gets going early, he has a great chance to exceed 30 FP.SIT: Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers: The early season PPR sensation has cooled off considerably, recording a combined seven touches in his last two games while going without a target in last week's win over the Raiders. Ekeler's value wanes if he's not involved in the passing game, something that could dip further as the Broncos allow an average of just 34.3 receiving yards per game to opposing running backs. The risk far outweighs the reward here.START: Levine Toilolo, TE, Lions: Toilolo has been targeted just six times this season, but with Detroit's depth at the position thinned by injuries, Toilolo falls into a potential goldmine of an opportunity when he lines up against a Panthers defense that is the worst in fantasy when comes to stopping opposing tight ends. Carolina has allowed eight touchdowns to tight ends this season, and if the Lions are put into a pass-heavy mode in order to stay in the game, those willing to gamble on Toilolo will see him get targeted frequently by Matthew Stafford.SIT: Devin Funchess, WR, Panthers: Since being targeted a season-high 11 times against the Eagles in Week Seven, Funchess has been targeted a combined 13 times with only 10 catches for 103 yards and no touchdowns to show for it. The Lions have been sneaky good against the pass Womens Alex Anzalone Jersey , ranking eighth overall in fewest net passing yards per game. With Cam Newton feeding the ball to Christian McCaffrey and Greg Olsen on a consistent basis, Funchess has become the forgotten man in the Panthers' offense. Fantasy owners should follow Cam's lead and stay away from Funchess as well. After two weeks, the New Orleans Saints find themselves with a 1-1 record, which may seem disappointing on the surface, but represents the best start the team has had over the first two weeks since 2013.The Saints started the season with two games at home but now hit the road to face their most hated rival, the Atlanta Falcons, in the Saints’ home away from home.No week gets Who Dat Nation’s blood pumping like “Falcons Hate Week” and the opportunity to take the Falcons down in their own house would be just what the team and the fans may need to kick this season into high gear. The Saints may be travelling to Atlanta for the first time this season on Sunday, but if everything breaks right this year, they’ll be back in February, so they should get used to the place.Last week I went 9-7I told you so: Chiefs over Steelers! What do I know: Eagles over Bucs?***WEEK 3Thursday, September 20th - Game of the WeekNothing will come easy for the Saints in Atlanta this week, and they’ll need their defense to provide a consistancy they have struggled with so far.The biggest leaders on defense will need to come through in this one.Cam Jordan will need to get pressure, keeping Steve Sarkesian’s offense off balance.Another timely pick by Marcus Williams would be welcomed, and a huge interception or two by Marshon Lattimore would really kick things into overdrive. In fact Womens Terron Armstead Jersey , if Lattimore wanted to use his hands to pick off Matt Ryan this time, he could do it that way if he wanted to mix things up a little. The keys for success in this game are clear, the Saints have to force a few turnovers here and take advantage of the opportunities those turnovers present. In the matchup of the NFC South’s most dominant receivers, Michael Thomas needs to be the bigger factor than Julio Jones.Thomas has been unbelievable early this season, but this is the week he can make believers out of the doubters. The X-Factor is Alvin Kamara. If Kamara can have more consistant success in running the ball and controling the clock than he’s had so far in Mark Ingram’s absence, it would give the Saints all the boost they may need.Although there are exceptions, Saints/Falcons is usually a tense, tight affair, as both teams know how important a win over the other is.It may make the difference in the division race, in playoff seeding, and potentially in homefield advantage, but just as important, there’s bragging rights. This will be another close game with a razor-thin margin for error. The Saints have been far from perfect this season, but like last year, this week is where they’ll start to hit their stride in the first quarter of the season.Saints win 31-30.Pick: Saints***Sunday, September 23rd - Late GamesChargers(1-1) at Rams(2-0)It’s the first regular season Battle of Los Angeles since these two franchises relocated a season ago. Both teams entered the season with serious aspirations and have done little to assuage those aspirations in the first few weeks.Even though this matchup should prove to be good between these future stadium-mates, the biggest thing to look for on Sunday is who the fans in attendance will be rooting for. Both teams have had the stadiums overrun by opposing fanbases since coming to LA a year ago.It could potentially be a lame atmosphere in the air for this one.Rams win 35-21.Pick: Rams***Cowboys(1-1) at Seahawks(0-2)Dallas will lean on Ezekiel Elliott to grind out a win in Seattle, while their defense make things difficult for Russell Wilson.Dallas wins 17-12.Pick: Cowboys***Bears(1-1) at Cardinals(0-2)Chicago will face little resistance from the NFL’s worst team in Arizona.Chicago’s defense will make Arizona’s terrible season even worse in this one.Chicago wins 27-3.Pick: Bears***Sunday Night FootballPatriots(1-1) at Lions(0-2)The big headline in this matchup is all about Detroit’s head coach Matt Patricia facing his former mentor, Bill Belichick, but the real story will be how quickly Tom Brady and newly acquired wide receiver, Josh Gordon get on the same page.New England will rebound from their Week 2 loss while Detroit continues their struggles.New England wins 38-17.Pick: Patriots***Monday, September 24th - Monday Night FootballSteelers(0-1-1) at Buccaneers(2-0)Defense need not apply in this matchup of the two top passing offenses in the NFL.Passing yards will be through the roof against these terrible defenses, but Tampa will make a few more crucial plays than Pittsburgh here at home.Tampa remains undefeated, while Pittsburgh remains winless.Tampa Bay wins 34-27.Pick: Buccaneers***That’s how I see it, tell us how you see Week 3 playing out.
