I thought with Sports Illustrated’s name being attached to the project they wouldn’t give credence to unsubstantiated rumors. That thought was dismissed in the first episode when they talked about a rumor regarding McNair’s body that has never been substantiated. Not only that, but later in the series they interviewed the coroner who examined McNair’s body, and he said the rumor wasn’t true. Who is more likely to be lying- the coroner or Vincent Hill?Let’s talk about Vincent Hill for a minute. That dude has been using this murder-suicide to get attention for himself for almost a decade now. He is more than willing to throw out any theory that pops into his brain as long as it gets him 15 more minutes in the limelight. Tim Rohan, the host of this “investigative” podcast, admits multiple times that Hill isn’t trustworthy Kevin Byard Jersey , but still gives him yet another platform to throw out his ridiculous theories. The next time Hill comes up with something he can actually back-up in this case will be the first time.Sure, there were several questions raised here, but my issue with that is that they raised questions about multiple people. It seemed like there were at least 4 people, in addition to Sahel Kazemi, that they were trying to raise suspicion on in this podcast. Look, I understand, as Rohan said in the finale, that he set out to prove that Kazemi didn’t kill McNair- not to prove who did kill him, but where does that leave the other people that he has cast suspicion on? As one of the Nashville police officers said in an episode, 5 people didn’t kill Steve McNair. The thing that stuck out to me the most about the final episode was how everyone else in the story is ready to move on. Lucille McNair (Steve’s mom) and the rest of the McNair family said they are ready to move on. Kazemi’s sister told Rowan the same thing. The only person that is still holding on here is Hill, and it is extremely sad that Rowan and SI gave him another platform to spew his nonsense.So, like I said above, do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time with this production because it didn’t introduce one new piece of concrete evidence. Therefore, there are no hurdles to clear if Tampa Bay wants Fangio and Fangio wants Tampa Bay. The offense is there and a talented defensive mind like Fangio could be the missing piece that rounds out this team. 2) Kris RichardI wouldn’t necessarily like the move, but I’d be on board with it. Carmichael has been the New Orleans Saints’ offensive coordinator since 2009. While it’s Sean Payton’s offense, Carmichael has had extensive time learning under Payton and took over playcalling duties when Payton was suspended during the 2012 season. The Saints finished with the second ranked offense in the league in terms of total yards and were third in points. Carmichael is also young. He’s just 47 and has been interviewed for a head coaching gig before, so the interest is there to be had. Plus, it wouldn’t hurt stealing someone from a rival team. It’s hard to believe the report earlier in the season about Harbaugh and the Ravens parting ways. The main reason being that Jason La Canfora was putting out the report, but now that the Ravens have made the playoffs, it seems even more unlikely that the two sides will split. I don’t know why he hasn’t been able to translate his success to the college game, but that is alarming. Outside of recruiting, the college game is an easier beast to tame. He’s 1-9 against top-10 since he’s been at Michigan. That type of trend needs to stay out of Tampa Bay. He went 5-7 as interim coach for the Miami Dolphins. There were a couple of good years when he coached Charles Clay in Miami, but outside of that, his players have never really been a major factor. Campbell would be an even bigger risk than Harbaugh, but not the ultimate risk. Don’t worry, the suspense won’t last long, because the ultimate risk is next up in line. 3) If I have to listen to Gregg Williams run his mouth year-round.Don’t. Please, just don’t. Williams is overtly obnoxious and overtly alpha - if there is such a thing. Everything he does is over the top and I’m pretty sure he likes it that way. I’ll give him a lot of credit for the job he’s done in Cleveland, but hopefully they make the mistake of giving him the job and not the Bucs. He should have about seven different opportunities to get hired this year, anyway. I mean, he’s got it made.

It’s a long, but insightful read, and recommended if you have a few minutes given the 49ers had a hand in that relationship going bad from the start. Given the pedigree and slow spiral the Packers have been on since winning the Super Bowl in 2011, it’s no wonder the entire dynamic of the team has been something making headlines. After the San Francisco 49ers beat the Packers at home to open 2012, more reportswere coming on Rodgers’ behavior as a teammate. In 2012,it was an anomaly. Fast forward to 2018 where it was all but certain he didn’t care much for McCarthy and his coach was on the way out. More players were speaking up to on playing with Rodgers and a lot of it wasn’t good.So how did all this happen? Well look no further than the 2005 draft. That draft left a big decision for the San Francisco 49ers: Alex Smith or Aaron Rodgers with the No. 1 pick. As everyone knows, the 49ers selected Smith and he was labeled as a bust for years until Jim Harbaugh arrived to turn his career around. Rodgers, on the other hand, went to Green Bay. Who had a hand in the decision? The then-offensive coordinator of the 49ers: Mike McCarthy. And from Dunne’s article, it looks like Rodgers resented McCarthy the moment he set foot in Green Bay for the decisions made in San Francisco: It sounds a bit bitter that Rodgers would hold that decision against McCarthy Laken Tomlinson Jersey , but it’s also something where one can see where he’s coming from. There’s been interesting stories about being turned down for a job at a specific company, only to find the person you interviewed with turn up at the place you eventually accepted an offer at. The decision was one that may or may not have changed the fortunes of the 49ers. If Rodgers was the No. 1 pick that year, he may have struggled just as much as Smith had, maybe worse, we don’t know. The decision makers of that blunder are out of the building and all that’s left is us to laugh at the insanity of it all.It’s just interesting that it had even more consequences. It set McCarthy up to fail at his new destination. Before this article came out, there were reports that McCarthy worked extensively with Rodgers in developing him as a quarterback while Brett Favre was starting. For the longest time several (myself included) laid the praise of Rodgers’ immediate impact as a starter on the shoulders of McCarthy. For all intents and purposes, it was safe to assume the two had a fine relationship. I’ve even argued the reason it took the Packers so long to dump McCarthy was not because of the Super Bowl win, but putting Rodgers into an unfamiliar system. Dunne indicates that’s not the case. A lot of Rodgers’ success was just because he was that darn good. I could still manage to look the other way for his playoff performance, but the injury thing doesn’t resonate well. The 49ers have enough of the players getting injured—but there’s no telling if he’d injure himself again so knocking him for a wrist injury may be a bit much. That said, Thompson has a high ceiling and could be the answer at free safety. It’s just a matter of if the 49ers would want to go that direction instead of cornerback or wide receiver. The Bosa/Allen/Williams debate will continue in the comments, but what do you think of Thompson? Is he the answer at free safety?

This is borne out in how the Packers look to attack the 2019 offseason. They’re not looking for a boundary receiver to make catches on third downs or the red zone like Nelson. They realized they have some really talented players on the roster for that. What they need is a reliable tight end with some blocking ability who can make plays over the middle of the field. In other words, Green Bay found suitable replacements for Nelson as a receiver, but Graham failed to offer that which the team believed it was getting when he signed. That, in this exchange, represents the clear and obvious failure.
