At 56.67% Taylor Rapp Jersey Cheap , the R comes to scoring in the red zone. That’s up by a little over 3% since last season. As of late, they’ve seemed to be more willing to ride with runningback Todd Gurley in those situations, as his 14 touchdowns indicate. Speaking of Gurley, it was nice to see him get some breathers as Malcolm Brown got to grind out a few possessions. In general, with the Rams’ bye week still a month away, it was great to see a handful of starters getting some rest in the fourth quarter. All in all, it was luxurious day for the team, back in the California sunshine with plenty of Rams fans scattered around the lower bowl at Levi Stadium. The tight ends may never become a major part of the passing game. Entering the season it seemed conceivable that Sean McVay may go back to using his tight ends more often as a wrinkle to stay a step ahead of tape crunching defensive coordinators around the league. However, with Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and Brandin Cooks only improving Rob Havenstein Jersey , it seems like the Big 3 will be on the field the overwhelming majority of the time. That makes it more difficult to draw any real conclusions about the Gerald Everett selection in the 2nd Round of the 2017 draft. Is the lack of production Everett’s fault, or is he simply buried in a blizzard of talent? It is worth noting that San Francisco 49ers’ prolific tight end George Kittle was drafted a full 102 picks behind Everett that year. What would Kittle do in this Rams offense? And would Everett be capable of being more of a featured offensive weapon elsewhere? The same questions can be asked of the Rams other tight end Tyler Higbee. But really, who cares as long as the Rams offense keeps the scoreboard spinning?Worth noting, is that both Everett and Higbee have been graded decently by Pro Football Focus this season. Gerald Everett’s 2018 PFF GradeGerald Everett 2018 PFF GradeTyler Higbee’s 2018 PFF GradeTyler Higbee’s 2018 PFF GradeThe Rams can win different types of games. The offense certainly made an appearance, though it wasn’t quite the shock-and-awe type of assault that they have launched so often this season. Their final stats may have been somewhat minimized from continuously working short fields following the numerous turnovers created by their defense. The defense, who has often been treated as an afterthought behind Goff & Co. came to play on Sunday. No, Jimmy Garoppolo wasn’t out there, but the Niners are still 2nd in the league in rushing behind a strong line, and have capable weapons in Pierre Garcon, George Kittle, and Marquise Goodwin. The game turned out to be the best display of what the Rams’ pass rush is capable of that we have seen thus far in 2018. Samson Ebukam finally got home Authentic David Edwards Jersey , as did Cory Littleton; and Aaron Donald’s game exceeded any possible description. Also worth note is that the Rams corners basically blanked the 49ers wide receivers, which has now happened in 4 of the Rams’ 7 games so far. Only the Vikings, Broncos, and maybe the Chargers enjoyed any success outside. With Marcus Peters getting healthier, and the eventual return of Aqib Talib, that kind of coverage should continue to be a deadly compliment to the pressure up front. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Although the Los Angeles Rams hadn’t lost a game until last week, their spectacular season has featured several close calls. Not many were closer than their 33-31 victory just five weeks ago in Seattle, where the Seahawks racked up 190 yards rushing, intercepted two passes by Jared Goff and came agonizingly close to a huge NFC West win. With the second-place Seahawks (4-4) visiting the Coliseum on Sunday for the rematch, the Rams (8-1) have a chance to essentially end the division race with seven weeks to go. The Rams aren’t looking that far ahead, but Aaron Donald hopes Los Angeles will learn from that narrow win in Seattle — and a 45-35 loss at New Orleans last week.“We’re in a good place David Edwards Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , and we’re locked in,” said the Rams’ superstar defensive tackle, second in the NFL with 10 sacks. “We play these guys twice a year, so we’ve got respect for them. We’ve just got to get after them.”The Rams have never lost back-to-back regular-season games in their 1½ seasons under Sean McVay, but they’ve thrived primarily on the strength of an offense that has been able to outscore nearly every opponent, including the Seahawks. NFL scoring leader Todd Gurley rushed for three TDs in Seattle, and the Rams kept the ball out of Russell Wilson’s hands in the final 3:38 by running out the clock. The Seahawks also are coming off a loss after the Chargers won in Seattle last week, but the Seahawks know they can beat the Rams because they did it last season at the Coliseum.Even if the division race might already be out of hand, they’ve got a chance to begin their playoff rally with a statement victory.“We can’t allow them to score as many points as they put up,” Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner said. “We feel like we did a really good job against the run for the most part. We have to find a way to do that, make them one-dimensional Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Stitched , make sure Todd doesn’t get into the end zone as many times as he did.”More things to watch in this NFC West showdown:TOUGH CHECKDonald has sacked Wilson eight times in their careers, more than any other quarterback. But Donald and the Rams didn’t manage to sack Drew Brees last week, and they still have something to prove to the Seahawks — particularly to guard D.J. Fluker, who wasn’t impressed by the toughness of the Los Angeles defense in the clubs’ previous meeting. The Seattle offensive lineman said the Rams “want to be pass rushers,” but hadn’t “seen a team go out there and actually take it to them.” Donald had no interest in starting a public discussion this week: “We’re just going to go out there and play a game and let our play speak for us.”RUN AROUNDSeattle’s impressive rushing performance in their first meeting with the Rams included 116 yards from Chris Carson, but he is in question for the rematch because of a hip injury that caused him to sit the final 2½ quarters last week against the Chargers. Mike Davis and seldom-used Rashaad Penny probably would replace Carson. But Seattle also has offensive line concerns after Fluker injured his calf late in the loss to the Chargers. Fluker’s addition to the offensive line helped spark Seattle’s turnaround in the run game starting in late September.GURLEY GOESGurley has scored a touchdown in a franchise-record 12 straight games, and his 868 yards rushing are the NFL’s most by a whopping 162 yards over Pittsburgh’s James Connor.Gurley’s 16 TDs this season are the most in the league and the second-most in NFL history through nine games, trailing only Jim Brown’s 17 in 1958. That’s the challenge facing Seattle’s run defense, which is giving up 4.8 yards per attempt — tied for fourth-worst in the league — but has been effective in stretches.GET MARCUSFormer Washington Huskies defensive back Marcus Peters was targeted repeatedly by the Saints, and the Rams’ top corner took the blame for much of Brees’ success. The Seahawks undoubtedly saw the former Pro Bowl cover man’s struggles on video, but Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has limited options in the continued injury absence of cornerback Aqib Talib. The Rams’ best solution might be increased pressure on Wilson David Edwards Jersey nfl draft , who has been sacked 25 times already this season.SAFETY PLANBradley McDougald has been one of Seattle’s defensive standouts, but with a quick turnaround to facing Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers next Thursday, McDougald may end up sitting out against the Rams because of a bothersome knee injury. If McDougald can’t play, the Seahawks would turn to second-year safety Delano Hill, which could create an extremely young secondary. If Hill starts, he would play alongside second-year free safety Tedric Thompson, second-year cornerback Shaquill Griffin and rookie cornerback Tre Flowers. Nickel cornerback Justin Coleman, in his fourth season, would be the veteran of the group.

Each practice day Xavier Williams Jersey , the Kansas jury report leading up to the next game. The Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals this week at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday Night Football. Here is the Chiefs’ second official injury report of the week:BengalsSome notesAt this point, I wouldn’t expect safety Eric Berry, outside linebacker Justin Houston, or center Mitch Morse to play this weekend.Linebacker Anthony Hitchens’ status caught my attention. Hitchens was limited in practice on Thursday after practicing fully on Wednesday. With the current state of the run defense and Joe Mixon coming to town, the Chiefs certainly cannot afford to be without Hitchens. The Bengals had 16 players listed on their Thursday injury report. The two injuries we’ve been monitoring have been to cornerback Darqueze Dennard and safety Shawn Williams, two starters in the Cincinnati secondary. Dennard missed practice again Thursday but Williams appears to be making progress—he was limited.Bengals star AJ Green was limited Thursday but it is not injury related, which is kind of a weird status. Hard to know what’s going on there. KANSAS CITY, Mo. 鈥?The game was all but decided Jordan Lucas Jersey , and the Chiefs minutes away from playing in their first AFC title game in 25 years, when they drove to the goal line for a chance to punctuate their long-awaited victory over the Indianapolis Colts with a touchdown.Patrick Mahomes turned and handed the ball to Darrel Williams, who was stood up right at the goal line. Williams kept churning as the Chiefs began to push him, inch by inch, toward pay dirt.Leading the way? Their brilliant young quarterback.Mahomes toppled right over the goal line with Williams, then leaped up and threw a knockout right hook at nothing but air, celebrating not only the score but ultimately a 31-13 victory Saturday.Mahomes wound up throwing for 278 yards in his postseason debut, ran on a hobbled knee for a key touchdown Damien Williams Jersey , and did all the dirty work 鈥?like that Reggie Bush-style shove 鈥?necessary to keep alive the Chiefs’ chances of playing in their first Super Bowl since Len Dawson led the way in 1970.“My favorite thing was finishing the game at the end,” Mahomes said of the late touchdown. “We’ve been in those situations and didn’t execute to our standards. It shows the attitude and effort you need to win football games.”Especially in cold, snowy January weather, when the games are most meaningful.Mahomes answered the call Saturday amid tremendous pressure and great expectations. The Chiefs traded up to pick him 10th overall a couple of years ago, then allowed him to learn the ropes for a year under Alex Smith, before turning him loose on an unsuspecting league. The young quarterback with the curly Mohawk, massive arm and moxie in spades threw for more than 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns in the regular season Tyrann Mathieu Jersey , and shattered just about every franchise passing record. But nobody knew how he would respond to the playoffs, where the Chiefs have given their fans nothing but agony and heartbreak since Joe Montana was taking snaps from center. All he did was lead Kansas City to touchdowns on its first two possessions to set the tone against a resurgent Colts defense, then lead his team to a field goal and another score before halftime. The last one was his rushing touchdown, which came after he took a wicked hit in the pocket.“It was a little cold out there so I was aching for a second,” said Mahomes, who no doubt caused heart palpitations across Kansas City when he came up limping. “But it feels fine, it really is. It got me there for a second, a little stinger I guess Steven Nelson Jersey , but I was feeling pretty good after that.”100View Gallery Gallery:View from the sidelines: NFL cheerleaders 2018Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports | Raj MehtaMahomes was sacked four times and threw a couple of wobbly passes, and he had an interception wiped away by an offside call, but never made the crucial mistake that could have turned the game.It helped that his biggest options all showed up.Damien Williams ran for 129 yards and a score against a Colts defense that had not allowed a 100-yard rusher this season. Travis Kelce had seven catches for 108 yards. Tyreek Hill had 72 yards through the air and ran 36 yards for a score. And wide receiver Sammy Watkins even pitched in for the first time since hurting his foot during a game in November.“We ran the ball, and that’s the biggest thing,” Kelce said. “When you have the lead, you’ve got to be able to run the ball late in the game. Damien Williams, man. He runs his tail off for everybody on this team. Sure enough it showed today that he can finish a game off for us.”Pulling the trigger, though Tony Gonzalez Jersey , was the Chiefs’ unflappable first-year starter. He did it with his arm. He did it with his legs. He even did it with his voice, drawing the Colts offside so many times that their defensive line was visibly frustrated.“Mahomes was No. 1 in the NFL at drawing people offside. And so we knew that going in,” Colts coach Frank Reich said. “We talked about it, and he still got us. For a young guy, the way to work the cadence the way that he does, I give him credit for that.”It wasn’t the only reason to heap praise on him Saturday.

As the NFL draft becomes an increasingly large spectacle that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-matt-prater-jersey , teams and host cities are growing more eager to host the draft.Las Vegas has the 2020 draft, but no draft hosts have been determined beyond that. Lions General Manager Bob Quinn says Detroit is eager to get into the mix.“So I think if we were fortunate enough to get the draft in Detroit, I think the city would do an amazing job,” Quinn said, via the . “I think it would be a great thing for the city. I think it would be a great thing for the team to kind of show Michigan and the city of Detroit for what it really is. People that don’t come here don’t know how great it is. So I think it would be awesome.”A draft hosted partly by Cleveland and partly at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton Womens Anthony Zettel Jersey , Ohio, is a strong possibility, and Kansas City and Denver have also made pitches as potential host cities. Before the Browns signed running back Kareem Hunt, plenty of teams considered adding him. The Lions were one of those teams, and they ultimately decided not to pursue Hunt.“We evaluate every player on the field and off the field and in this case Womens Barry Sanders Jersey , we talked about internally,” G.M. Bob Quinn said at a forum for season-ticket holders, via Dave Birkett of the . “It was just a player that we didn’t feel comfortable bringing to the Lions for numerous issues, and I stand by that. That’s my word and I want good players and I want good people in this organization.”The Chiefs waived Hunt after video emerged in November 2018 of an altercation in a hallway of a Cleveland hotel from February of that year. Hunt was seen in the video shoving and kicking a woman.“Obviously when [Hunt] was released towards the end of the season, every team in the league had the opportunity to claim him . . . and actually be on a cheaper contract than he signed today Womens Levine Toilolo Jersey ,” Quinn said. He’s right, but any team that would have claimed him in November would have been required to pay his salary while on the Commissioner Exempt list. The Browns will pay Hunt nothing until he’s reinstated, assuming that any suspension is finalized before the start of the regular season. The Lions arguably don’t need Hunt; rookie Kerryon Johnson became a solid performer in 2018. But Hunt led the league in rushing in his own rookie year of 2017, and his talent is undeniable. Which is precisely why he’s getting a second chance.

The betrayal alliance is a new expansion of the Path of Exile. Since its release, it has dominated the streaming and social media platforms, the ninth most popular game on Twitch, a live set in the game. All in all, the "Road of Exile" has been a massive success in Grinding Gear Games. As the Diablo-style action RPG continues to grow, it's no wonder that new audiences are continually pouring in. So what is the further expansion? How is it played out? How do you earn money when accepting POE currency and PoE spheres?

No matter what way you slice it Ryan Kalil Color Rush Jersey , this Panthers team collapsed on all levels following a 6-2 start with a talented roster. Cleveland essentially ended all chances of Carolina making the playoffs, despite the efforts of these three guys.WinnersChristian McCafferyMcCaffery continues to succeed in spite of this struggling offense. CMC logged 22 touches for 101 yards and the Panthers only two touchdowns. While McCaffery is growing into an elite offensive weapon, he cannot be the only player carrying this offense. The team seems to get away from him when they are trying to cover deficits, and the way this offense is performing this just can’t work. McCaffery is playing well, but his number of touches and success in regards to the rest of the offense just isn’t sustainable. I truly hope next season this offense finds a way to put it all together, where McCaffery doesn’t have to drag the entire offense into the endzone.Ian ThomasProps to the rookie. He had major shoes to fill and he did his darned best in this game with a team leading 9 catches for 77 yards. Cam Newton functions at his best with a safety valve at tight end Luke Kuechly Color Rush Jersey , and Thomas was that today. The 4th round rookie really flashed what kind of potential he has today, and luckily he will be here along with McCaffery for the next few years on a rookie contract. The Panthers should continue with this workload as it can only benefit him in the future.Luke KuechlyThe best defensive player on the team had 11 tackles and two forced fumbles, as he kept this defense in the game through sheer force of will. It is really a shame that this will be considered a down year for Luke, because he’s really stepped up his game the last few weeks. However, in today’s NFL an elite middle linebacker can only do so much for a defense.Loser: Ron RiveraI could point to a bad showing by the secondary. I could point to an inconsistent game by Cam Newton. I could point to Chris Clark struggling against Myles Garrett or the defense not getting pressure. However, at this point C.J. Anderson Jersey , after 5 straight losses, the responsibility for these games falls solely at the feet of Ron Rivera. Not only has the team lost and the defense gotten torched, but save for a few winners each week the team as a whole has showed up and looked massively unprepared. Even after Rivera’s supposed hands on approach this week with the defense, they still couldn’t get it done against a rookie quarterback in a game they HAD to win. The offense couldn’t score in the redzone on several opportunities for another consecutive week.I like Ron, but he’s had more than enough time to prepare this team to be great. They have so much talent and yet they cannot get out of their own way. From a week to week standpoint, things like penalties Russell Color Rush Shepard Jersey , turnovers, and blown coverages can be attributed to player performance. But at this point, we’ve seen a five week trend. This team hasn’t been prepared, hasn’t capitalized on opportunities, and has failed to adapt to the changing landscape that is 2018 NFL football. This is on Ron Rivera, and the coaches he’s chosen to put into power.I’ve watched Ron Rivera football since 2011 Jordan Scarlett Jersey , and I don’t know how much more I can take. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Michael Griffin says his 10-year NFL career was a blessing that lasted far longer than some of his former teammates at the University of Texas. The two-time Pro Bowl safety officially ended that career Monday by signing a one-day contract with the Tennessee Titans and retiring with the franchise that drafted him with the 19th pick overall in 2007. Griffin, who wore No. 33 in his career, retired at the age of 33.”I can’t say enough, thank y’all, just thank y’all https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Christian-Miller-Jersey ,” Griffin said at a news conference inside the team’s indoor practice field. ”That’s probably all I can say is just thank y’all because it’s a blessing, and I’m so thankful to have that opportunity for the last nine years to play for this organization.”Griffin started 10 games as a rookie and played 141 games over nine seasons with Tennessee, including 103 straight between 2007 and 2013. He remains the franchise’s all-time leader in tackles by a safety with 912. Griffin also had 25 interceptions, seven sacks, 11 forced fumbles and six fumble recovers with his best season in 2008 with seven interceptions.Controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk thanked Griffin for his nine seasons with the Titans and wished him the best in retirement.”He was such a dependable player for us during his time here, missing only three games over nine seasons Will Grier Jersey , and he was always among our leading tacklers,” Strunk said in a statement. ”His play earned him two Pro Bowl selections and the respect of his teammates. Michael also was invested in our community, finding ways to make a difference.”The Titans released Griffin in February 2016 when he was tied with Corey Graham of Buffalo for the most games played by a safety in the NFL between 2007 and 2015. Griffin signed with Minnesota but didn’t play a game. He then signed with Carolina and started six of 13 games with the Panthers in 2016. He finished his career starting 134 of 154 games played in 10 seasons.Griffin spent the 2017 season working out in case a team called and finished his degree at Texas. He said even when he was with the Vikings and Panthers he always felt he remained a Tennessee Titan.”I was always cheering my guys on, always texting them if someone went down, ask how they were doing, keep their heads up https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Greg-Little-Jersey , if someone was released whatever it may be,” Griffin said. ”I always stayed in contact with those guys.”Titans linebackers Brian Orakpo and Wesley Woodyard and defensive linemen Jurrell Casey and DaQuan Jones were on hand for Griffin’s announcement.—

The Jacksonville Jaguars snapped their losing streak on Sunday with a 6-0 win over the Indianapolis Colts Tanner Lee Color Rush Jersey , also snapping the Colts winning streak. The Jaguars made a lot of changes on leading up to Sunday’s game, including firing offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and finally pulling the plug on quarterback Blake Bortles. Backup quarterback Cody Kessler got his first start as a Jaguar and while he didn’t really do anything special to win on Sunday, he did enough to give the defense a few breathers and put the team in scoring range to get just enough points.“It wasn’t pretty but man it feels good. It’s something as a quarterback and as a kid you dream of winning an NFL game,” Kessler said on Sunday after the game. “There’s no doubt about it that I have to do better though, and push the ball downfield a little bit more and take some of those shots. When your defense is playing so well you don’t want to force things and make stupid turnovers to put them in a bad spot. It’s something for me that I took pride in there and in the second half was like, ‘alright things aren’t going great on offense, we’re not getting those shots down the field.’ But with how well our defense is playing let’s just be smart and take care of the ball and really drain this clock.”Kessler finished the day completing 18 of 24 passes for 150 yards http://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Gardner-Minshew-II-Jersey , no touchdowns, no interceptions and was sacked three times. Kessler essentially did what he was asked, which was to complete a lot of short easy throws, hit some screens and take a few shots down the field when the opportunity presented itself.Honestly, the most impressive play Kessler probably made on the day was recovering his own fumble late in the game.“That was big. That was a little panic moment right there. He was on top of me and he was pulling me back and I just had to fight and get it,” Kessler said about recovering the fumble. “But I mean it fortunately went our way. I think we won the turnover battle today, I don’t know. As a unit that’s awesome Ryquell Armstead Jersey , especially when the defense is playing so great. The talent on defense is unbelievable here, and offense too. I know everyone doesn’t give them enough credit but these guys have stepped up, and guys that haven’t been here long and guys just sticking together. It feels good.”At one point in the game the only opening season starter on the offensive line for the Jaguars was AJ Cann and without Leonard Fournette, it was clear that the Jaguars plan was to burn clock with short quick passes as a pseudo running game. Kessler was able to execute that and truthfully, outside of his ability to complete those passes with consistency, the Jaguars offense didn’t look all that different it has looked, which should tell you quite a bit of about the Jaguars quarterback position. Now that the Super Bowl has been decided http://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Quincy-Williams-II-Jersey , it means the offseason talk is going to ramp up quickly for teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars. They’ve filled out their coaching staff, which included the hiring of offensive coordinator John DeFilippo. We can now start looking at the roster and trying to figure out what the team is going to have in 2019 and what they could be adding and what positions they’ll want to be adding to.You can read about the Jaguars salary cap situation right here for now, until the official numbers are released, that’s the best we’ll get.Next up Josh Oliver Jersey , we will look at the defensive line group.Players under contract in 2019:Calais Campbell:Don’t think we need to say much. His play didn’t drop off at all in 2018 like some expected so I see no reason to think he won’t still be an impact player in 2019.Yannick Ngakoue: Despite his sack number dipping slightly, Ngakoue was still excellent rushing the passer and being disruptive in the NFL. Towards the end of the season he was Top 5 in the NFL in pressures.Marcell Dareus: Dareus took over full time this year and was a steady workhorse. It was noticeable when he wasn’t in the game.Malik Jackson: While his numbers were down, Jackson was still a solid player in 2018. Abry Jones: Jones is a starting caliber player that is depth right now and a run stuffer. I expect him to have more of a rotational role in 2019.Taven Bryan: The experiment with Bryan at defensive end went on a little too long and probably wasted his rookie season. When he moved back inside he was a lot more noticeable and disruptive, so here’s hoping he can do more of that in 2019.Eli Ankou: Ankou was hurt most of the season, but the Jaguars value his run stopping ability.Michael Hughes: I don’t know much about him!Dawuane Smoot: Smoot was someone a lot of people thought could get cut this season, but once he was healthy he actually started to make a few plays. Maybe the light goes on in 2019.Lyndon Johnson: A late add in the season who flashed a little bit. Potential cap cuts:Malik Jackson: I think Jackson is as good as gone for the Jaguars and overall, they got what they paid for in free agency. Jackson was excellent his first two season in Jacksonville with some drop off playing a little hurt in 2018. His cap figure in 2019 was always likely the cut-away point and doing so saves you $11 million.Marcell Dareus: Dareus is someone I think the Jaguars will approach about restructuring his contract by adding a year to it. The team likes him and he’s done well since being traded.Calais Campbell: We know Campbell has already been informed he will be back in 2019 http://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Jawaan-Taylor-Jersey , however I listed him hear because I think the team tries re-do his deal and push some money to 2020.Abry Jones: I don’t think Jones gets cut, but he’s a straight savings of $4 million if they want to. Potential free agent options:I don’t think the Jaguars go after any FA defensive lineman, but here’s some names of interest to me.Ezekiel Ansah: Coming off injury so I don’t know that he will be THAT expensive, but he’s someone who would fit right in.Aaron Lynch: Lynch could double up playing some SAM and rushing the passer on third downs.Romeo Okwara: An under-the-radar pass rusher who’s at the sweet spot for age in free agency.Mario Edwards: Versatile defensive lineman who can play end or inside. Depth, more than anything.

The Jets have made a number of big changes through free agency and the NFL Draft. Most of the important positions on this roster are already settled. While last year’s training camp featured a wide open battle for the most important role, starting quarterback, this year’s camp battles will be much lower profile. There still are unsettled roles on the roster that will be sorted out.On today’s podcast we look ahead to these training camp battles and explore which jobs are up for grabs. The center position will likely be one of them, even though the options are less than inspiring. There also figures to be some competition at backup quarterback and a battle for the second tight end spot. On the defensive side of the ball, playing time at the premium positions of cornerback and edge rusher is up for grabs. There are a lot of players who could be in the mix for playing time. Thanks for listening. Now that the Steelers officially are trying to trade Antonio Brown (not to be confused with the six weeks during which they were unofficially trying to trade him), what happens next?By preventing Brown or his agent Chandler Catanzaro Jersey , Drew Rosenhaus, from talking to other teams, the Steelers control the process, making their compensation the first order of business, instead of the contractual adjustment that Brown clearly wants. Obviously, however, it’s going to take both to get the deal done. It’s also going to take a team that believes the benefits of Brown’s skills outweigh the potential risks. Risks that, for example Youth Marcus Maye Jerseys , he will behave in a new city the same way he behaved in Pittsburgh. Risks that multiple off-field incidents, from the alleged furniture-throwing lawsuit to an alleged domestic altercation, may lead to a suspension. Risks that his recent social-media habits aren’t just an effort to get out of Pittsburgh but a Charlie Sheen-style #tigerblood meltdown that will continue once he’s in a new city.Regardless, he’s now available for any team, if that team is also willing to pay him. Early speculation has centered on teams like the Jets, the 49ers, the Raiders, and the Packers. The Steelers surely are counting on multiple teams entering the bidding Marcus Maye Jerseys Stitched , in order to drive the price as high as it can be.However it plays out, Brown will receive a $2.5 million roster bonus on March 17, which means it likely will play out by then (unless he agrees to delay the date of the payment). The most important question is whether the Steelers will take what they can get, or whether they have a minimum expectation below which they’ll simply keep him.If it gets to that, look for more tweets and videos from Brown that are aimed at forcing his way out of town, with the strategy continuing until he can claim that he is truly #winning.

The Dallas Cowboys selected eight players in the 2019 NFL Draft, but did they pick the right guys? Here is an assessment of each of their draft picks."The NFL Draft is a beautiful thing. In a blink of an eye, it can throw months worth of draft research into the trash as you realize how small you are in the real world when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys front office. I learned this the hard way back in 2012 when I spent hours trying to decide who the team was more likely to pick - edge rusher Melvin Ingram or guard David DeCastro. The team threw us all a curve ball when they traded up for Morris Claiborne and just like that - my top 50 players no longer had relevance. Those were good times. You’d think such a lesson learned would prepare me to not get my hopes up, but no - I get lulled into believing the Cowboys are going to pick my top guys because I’m a sucker. In all fairness, the three-year streak of Zack Martin, catch wind and jump ahead of you. The Cowboys may want to do a better job keeping their secrets under wraps. So with the hype of Hill already in full swing, I made a plea to the organization, but something tells me they weren’t listening.I have no problem with Hill the player. The Cowboys have traits they look for and Hill matches that to a tee. The get-off, the motor, the pass-rushing presence who can also stuff the run - he’s got it. The perplexing thing about Hill is despite his talent, the coaching staff at Central Florida chose to not start him last season. The Cowboys did their homework and Rod Marinelli ended up developing a close relationship with Hill. This pick is not just about the athletic upside or the need they have on the inside of the defensive line. I mean, those things are important, but the icing on the cake was what the team felt about the person. When you take all of this into account, it’s easy to see why the team loved Hill so much.Pick 90 - Connor McGovern, GThis pick caught a lot of fans off guard. There were so many great choices available and it was surprising that they would choose a player at a position where they are strong. Last week in our follow the money piece, we identified an offensive lineman as a surprise third-round pick. We made our best guess at a talented lineman that might slip through the cracks and that choice was Max Scharping who was selected 55th overall. The team actually went with Connor McGovern who turned out to be that crack-slipper for the Cowboys front office.McGovern was a four-year starter at Penn State that featured two of the top running backs taken in the draft over the last two years (Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders). He’s a smart player who is run blocking stud. He’s athletic Troy Aikman Color Rush Jersey , he plays with good leverage, and he’s got a little bit of nasty the team loves on their OL. The position flex also is big and opens up some doors for the team going forward. Losing La’el Collins in free agency next season suddenly isn’t a big concern. If Travis Frederick suffers a setback, the team will be ready. The team has had a great amount of success when their offensive line dominates and this puts them one step closer to doing just that. It’s not sexy, but it’s super smart.Pick 128 - Tony Pollard, RBMemphis running back Tony Pollard was an official pre-draft visit, so it wasn’t surprising that the team selected him. However, it was surprising that they took him so early. There was a run on running backs right before the Cowboys picked so maybe they got nervous, but this pick looked like a panic move.Even more unsettling was the notion that the team appeared to mess up the order of in which they should’ve selected their fourth-round picks. From the war room camera, there was an lively discussion going on right before they picked. It felt as if they were debating who they should pick first, hoping they could get guys they wanted with both picks. They opted to go with Pollard first, but wasn’t able to get the other guy they wanted at 136. That forced them into plan B. You might want to look away if you’re a John Cominsky fan as this could sting a bit.If the Cowboys went Cominsky first, there’s a great chance they get both the players they want.Pollard is a good player and he’s dynamic enough to offer the offense a little excitement with his touches, but it’s hard to get too worked up about this type of player when we’ve witnessed the team not utilize them to their full potential. We’ve all been duped before when it come to players like Lance Dunbar or even last year with Tavon Austin, so we’ll believe it when we see it, but maybe the Kellen Moore era will present some new opportunities.Pick 158 - Michael Jackson, CBWhile I was still stewing over losing out on Cominsky Tony Pollard Jersey , the Cowboys adjusted to this misstep pretty well. Rather than settling, they moved back and got an extra pick. And then they turned that pick into yet another pick. All in all, the compensatory pick courtesy of Anthony Hitchens yielded them three players. And the team put them to good use.At pick 158, the Cowboys got themselves a long, physical corner with Miami’s Michael Jackson. This is the prototypical corner that Kris Richard looks for. He loves to press off the line and is very pesky in coverage. He’s got good speed to stay with his man, plays with a lot of aggression, and will sell out to make the tackle. But my favorite thing about him is how he gets his head turned around to make a play on the ball. He’s just a very good cover corner. This is a really good depth pick for Dallas this late in the draft. With Anthony Brown on the last year of his deal, Jackson could step in and have a bigger role on this team in 2020.Pick 165 -Joe Jackson, DEFor a lot of Cowboys fans there was a huge sigh of relief when edge rusher Jaylon Ferguson was selected by some other team. The NCAA’s all time leader in sacks just didn’t grow on a lot of us, but word on the street was that the Cowboys liked him a lot. The knock on Ferguson had to do with his traits, or lack thereof. He doesn’t bend or explode off the ball, yet his production was astounding. And that is what the Cowboys get with Miami’s Joe Jackson, albeit a discounted version. The team has been throwing draft resources at the defensive end position every year since the departure of DeMarcus Ware and even though it’s a crowded house, it didn’t deter them from doing it again this year. Like Ferguson, Jackson just isn’t colored with a lot of appealing pass rushing traits, but his effectiveness at this point in his development is intriguing in it’s own right. Just how good can he be if he can’t refine his pass rushing technique? Last month we mentioned that the Cowboys two starting edge rushers https://www.dallascowboysfanshop.com/Connor-Mcgovern-Jersey , DeMarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn, both finished in the top four in terms of win percentage last season. It looks like they now have another edge rusher that wins at a high rate.Pick 213 - Donovan Wilson, SThe Cowboys had so many opportunities to get a good safety in this draft, but time and time again, they passed. On one hand, you have to credit their discipline to favor talent over need as they continued to pluck good players off the board. But on the other hand, how are they ever going to improve the safety position? And for that reason, it leaves many of us unsatisfied that Wilson was the best they could come up with at safety. But if you can accept the fact that there will be no new upgrade at the top of the depth chart and just focus on depth, the Wilson pick has way more appeal. There is little hope that he’ll give the team something better than what they already have. He’s not athletic enough to be a strong safety, and his 199 lb. frame isn’t optimal to be a punishing strong safety.Despite the lack of upside, Wilson has the traits to having a fighting shot at making the roster. Whether his body can handle it or not, he’s going to give the effort and has the physical nature to hit hard. And he’ll be better in coverage than Kavon Frazier, who he’s likely to replace in 2020. Solid pick. Pick 218 - Mike Weber, RBAnother running back? What’s going on here? The Cowboys had two Day 3 running back prospects in for pre-draft visits and I’ll be doggone it if they didn’t take them both.Ohio State’s Mike Weber was a guy that we had mocked to the Cowboys in the fifth round so getting him a round later works for me. And it doesn’t really matter that Pollard was already drafted. The Cowboys really don’t have any running backs behind Zeke so both these guys can have a role on the team. Pollard would have a different role, where Weber is a more well-rounded running back that could actually fill in as the lead back should Elliott be unavailable. Like Pollard, Weber’s vision is really good Trysten Hill Jersey , but he attacks more within the tackles. The team knows what they want for their offense. Damien Harris was brought in because he’s sort of a poor man’s Zeke. He’s very good at a lot of different things. Well, Weber is a poor man’s Harris. Sure, it’s another level down from the original, but the team now has a viable backup running back on a cheap four-year deal. One of the first pieces we wrote in the aftermath of the Cowboys divisional playoff loss was how all four of the conference championship teams had success utilizing multiple running backs in contrast to the Cowboys relying too heavily on Zeke. So really, I should be much happier about these new toys than I am leading on.Pick 241 - Jalen Jelks, DEIt’s hard to have too much of an opinion about a seventh-round draft pick, but this move was puzzling. The Cowboys defensive end position is extremely crowded and now they bring in a player who is not exactly athletic? What are they trying to do here exactly? Answer: throw darts.Jelks selection was a preemptive priority free agent signing that they knew wasn’t likely to happen had they waited until after the draft. I mean, what edge rusher is going to want to show up to Dallas and fight for a roster spot with all this surplus of depth already on the roster? By drafting him, he’s not given the choice. And when you look at some of the nice adds they picked up as undrafted free agents, it certainly makes a lot more sense with how they approached this. With Jelks they have a long defender that does a great job utilizing his size. He processes well and his reaction skills is where he makes his money. The limitations athletically doesn’t paint a promising picture, but we’ll let camp battles sort that all out. There were times when I felt like the Cowboys were reaching, but I think subconsciously my mind wasn’t seeing the effects of not having a first-round pick. When you take a step back and lay it all on the table, it looks like a much more impressive draft haul. What do you think of the Cowboys overall draft?

The Bengals have requested permission to interview Rams cornerbacks coach Aubrey Pleasant for their defensive coordinator position Tyler Boyd Jersey , Mike Jones of reports.New coach Zac Taylor came from the Rams, where he was the quarterbacks coach.Jack Del Rio, Dom Capers and Mike Nolan are among the names previously linked to the Bengals and the defensive coordinator job. Unlike those veteran coaches, Pleasant has no experience as a coordinator, but he is considered one of the rising stars in the profession. He spent four seasons in Washington before joining the Rams in 2017. Pleasant was an offensive assistant in his first season in Washington before transitioning to the defensive side of the ball. He began his coaching career in the high school ranks before going to the University of Michigan. His first job in the NFL was in Cleveland as offensive staff/head coach intern. To say it was a tumultuous year for the Bengals’ defense in 2018 would be a massive understatement. Teryl Austin had his unit making flashy plays early in the season, but a record-setting streak of the worst kind in the middle of the year led to his firing. Still Nick Vigil Jersey , some of those plays early in the year ended up being crucial to some very important wins. Cast your vote and sound off on your winner for the Bengals’ 2018 Defensive Play of the Year.Clayton Fejedelem’s forced fumble, recovery and return for touchdown against the Colts: Cincinnati desperately needed to start the 2018 season off with a win, and they were engaged in a back-and-forth affair in Indianapolis. As Andrew Luck was driving the Colts down the field for the go-ahead score, Fejedelem knocked the ball loose from Jack Doyle and took it the other way to seal the win. He was in the game because Shawn Williams had been ejected in the first quarter. Shawn Williams’ sack and forced fumble versus the Ravens: Cincinnati shot out to a big lead against their division rivals on Thursday Night Football, but a slow second half kept the door cracked open for a Baltimore comeback. Joe Flacco attempted to tie the game with less than three minutes to play, but Williams showed great hustle to knock the ball away from behind. It set up a game-clinching field goal by Randy Bullock. Michael Johnson’sinterception return for a touchdown against the Dolphins: After a 3-1 start Jake Fisher Jersey , it appeared as if the magic was running out for the Bengals in their hosting of Miami in Week 5. Needing a big play because of a pretty anemic performance by the offense, Johnson came up with a Johnny-on-the-spot turnover and touchdown to totally change the tide of the contest. Sam Hubbard’s fumble recovery for a touchdown versus Miami: If the Johnson play against Miami didn’t do it for you, perhaps Hubbard’s scoop-and-score will be more up your alley. The momentum was totally shifting to Cincinnati, but the Dolphins were trying to tie the game with under three minutes to play. Carlos Dunlap grabbed Ryan Tannehill and swatted the ball out of his hands and the rookie did the rest. Jessie Bates’s pick-six against the Buccaneers: Cincinnati began to pull away from Tampa Bay in the second half, thanks to a rough outing by Jameis Winston. His fourth interception of the day resulted in the rookie safety taking it to the house, as well as his being benched for Ryan Fitzpatrick. Shawn Williams’ pick-six against the Steelers: The Bengals were out of playoff contention in the final week of the season and had many of their star players out of the lineup from injury Tyler Kroft Jersey , but that didn’t stop them from putting forth one of their best efforts of the year. Cincinnati’s defense was very stout against the explosive Pittsburgh offense, and Williams’ big play put the team in a position to nearly pull out an unlikely victory.

Cooper-USA TODAY SportsThe New England Patriots’ tight end position is in the middle of a major transformation process, with the retirement of future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski as the biggest but not the only move made this offseason. Besides Gronkowski’s decision to step away from the game, the Patriots also decided to release Dwayne Allen and trade Jacob Hollister to the Seattle Seahawks. In between, some new faces were added to help pick up the slack. The Patriots added three tight ends in free agency in Matt LaCosse, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Benjamin Watson. And despite two more players returning from last year — Ryan Izzo and Stephen Anderson — Watson is actually the most experienced tight end in New England’s system considering that he was with the club from 2004 to 2009. To be fair, however, there is another player basically on the position’s depth chart that has even more experience under his belt. He’s just no pure tight end.Since joining the Patriots as a practice squad signing in 2012, James Develin has developed into a core member of New England’s offensive attack as a fullback/tight end hybrid. As such, he has not only won three championships with the Patriots and appeared in a combined 95 regular season and playoff games for the club (compared to Watson’s 80), he also acquired a vast amount of knowledge about the team’s system and its use of the tight end position.“I wouldn’t say there’s much uniqueness [to the position],” Develin told reporters earlier this week when breaking down the position within the framework of New England’s offense. “I just think that you really have to understand the whole play as a tight end because it’s not just what you’re route is in a pass play or what your blocking assignment is, you have to truly understand what the guy next to you has, what you have to look for in the defense.”“It’s a pretty broad knowledge that you need to have at tight end because you have to look for a lot of things and you’re involved in the running game, pass protection — pretty much everything that goes on http://www.patriotslockerroom.com/authentic-danny-shelton-jersey ,” the one-time Pro Bowler, who is entering his eighth season with the Patriots, continued. “So you have to fully conceptualize every play or else you just kind of get lost in it all.”Rob Gronkowski was, of course, a master when it came to acquiring this knowledge of New England’s offense, and to subsequently applying it in practice and during games. But even with the NFL’s prototypical modern tight end no longer a part of the equation, Develin seems comfortable in the current post-Gronk personnel — both on and off the field — to find success moving forward.“Our coach, Nick Caley, does a really, really good job preparing us and getting us ready to go. [...] These guys have stepped up to the challenge and they’re making really good strides,” said Develin about the tight ends currently under contract with the world champions. This sounds encouraging, but only time will tell whether or not this confidence will be reflected on the field; and how the tight end position in itself will be featured in the offense in 2019.Develin again projects to be a part of it due to his versatility and experience — at least one (de facto) tight end who can be considered a lock to make the team. The other six, meanwhile, will have to fight for their spots on the 53-man roster come September. The ones who best learn the offense and apply their understanding will emerge victoriously. The New England Patriots may not have played a particularly inspiring game against the Buffalo Bills Derek Rivers Jersey , but they were still able to earn a 19-point road victory. As opposed to the last few games, the defense came up big in this one: not only did it keep Buffalo out of the end zone, it also produced two takeaways. The second of which — an 84-yard interception return touchdown by Devin McCourty — effectively iced the game in New England’s favor.Let’s take a look at the film to find out how McCourty was able to score against the Bills and thus give the Patriots their first defensive touchdown since December 2015.3-15-NE 30 (6:09) (Shotgun) D.Anderson pass short right intended for C.Clay INTERCEPTED by D.McCourty at NE 16. D.McCourty for 84 yards, TOUCHDOWN.After the Patriots had just scored the game’s first touchdown to go up 18-6 in the fourth quarter, the Bills were able to drive all the way to New England’s 25-yard line. However, a series of negative plays — two incomplete passes and a false start penalty — forced the team into a 3rd and 15.The home team approaches the clear passing situation with an 11-personnel group aligned in a 1x3 formation with quarterback Derek Anderson (#3) in the shotgun:NFL Game PassNew England counters the Bills’ look with a rather standard two-deep safety package. The Patriots actually have a dime personnel group on the field, though, with three safeties and three cornerbacks playing man-to-man coverage across the board. At first glance, the alignment hints at either cover 2 or cover 4 — schemes in which safeties Devin McCourty (#32) and Duron Harmon (#21) would have responsibilities covering parts of the deep field. However, McCourty does not sit back in his zone. Instead, he essentially plays a cover 3-like robber role in the middle of the field and patrols the underneath area:NFL Game PassAnderson originally looks left but the Bills’ quarterback quickly starts looking at tight end Charles Clay (#85), who originally aligned just on the outside of the right tackle. New England’s third safety — Patrick Chung (#23) — is in coverage of Clay and at the snap gives up inside leverage before playing a trail technique behind him. With the tight end a step ahead of the defensive back, Anderson takes his chance and fires a pass down the field. The football, however Womens Cordarrelle Patterson Jersey , never reaches the intended target as McCourty comes up from the weak-side safety spot and undercuts the route to pick off the pass. With little else but 84 yards of green Buffalo turf in front of him, the speedster is able to take the interception to the house for six points:NFL Game PassMcCourty plays the down perfectly. Not only does he give the initial impression of playing a deep-field role, he also quickly reacts to Anderson’s decision and uses his straight-line speed to make a play on the football. All in all, the 30-year old displays all of the traits that made him one of the league’s best safeties, even though he is having a comparatively rough year in 2018: instincts, intelligence, and athleticism. While McCourty obviously deserves praise for the play, the rest of the defense cannot go unmentioned either. Anderson taking his chance with a pass to Clay would not have happened if the rest of the defense didn’t cover tightly: across the board, New England’s defenders were able to stick closely to their assignments. This would have made life hard for the quarterback even if he had not picked Clay as his target. This level of execution in the secondary allowed the Patriots to not only get a stop on third down at a crucial moment in the game — even despite the pass rush not producing immediate pressure —, but also to turn it into points. The best case scenario.

When the Texans lost their first three games of the season https://www.broncosfanstore.com/Tom-Jackson-Jersey , their coach didn’t panic. Now that they’ve now won five in a row, their coach isn’t celebrating. 鈥淚 know it鈥檚 five in a row, it鈥檚 really good, like I鈥檓 not trying to downplay that, but it鈥檚 only eight games in,” Bill O’Brien told reporters after Thursday’s 42-23 win over the Dolphins. “Nothing鈥檚 been determined, so what have you done? You guys know, it鈥檚 a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league. So, we鈥檝e got to watch this, correct, figure out what鈥檚 going on health-wise, . . . and then start getting ready for Denver.鈥漁’Brien, who seems to be exuding that “don’t congratulate me; we haven’t done anything yet” vibe in the photo with Texans exec Cal McNair, is absolutely right. But the Texans should at least take a moment to feel pride in the fact that they’ve matched a team record with five straight wins, and that five wins in a row ties the record for the second-best recovery after an 0-3 start in the Super Bowl era.But O’Brien’s message remains an important one Dennis Smith Jersey , and it sounds like his team leaders are heeding it. “Of course there鈥檚 a lot of panic when you start 0-3, but we have a lot of guys who have been through a lot of adversity, whether it鈥檚 in their life or in injuries, whatever it may be, we have guys who鈥檝e been through stuff,” defensive end J.J. Watt said. “They know what it鈥檚 like to be down and out and they know what it鈥檚 like to fight back. Nobody was really panicking, we just knew that we had work to do and we had to play better and we started to do that. Now, we鈥檙e nowhere near where we need to be. We鈥檙e only halfway through the season, so we need to keep it going. But if we continue to work the way we work during the week, if we continue to play together and have fun, let it loose, we can definitely do some great things but we just have to take it one day at a time, which how we got here from an 0-3 start.”The Texans will get a chance to stretch their winning streak to six games in nine days, against a Broncos team that likely will be 3-5 (barring an upset of the Chiefs) and desperate to avoid falling to 3-6. With two weeks to go in the 2019 season, the Denver Broncos season is over. When the Tennessee Titans shut out the New York Giants on Sunday Terrell Davis Color Rush Jersey , the infinitesimally small chance the Broncos had of making the playoffs vanished. After a nauseating season with more downs than up, Denver should shamble through the next eight quarters with all the dedication and vigor they’ve brought to the previous 14 games. Oof.So what’s next? The one thing that has unified Broncos Country is the desire for Vance Joseph to be fired. For whatever reason, John Elway has elected to torture fans and the coach himself by not putting VJ out of everyone’s misery. The secret is out, everyone knows what a fraud Joseph is and so what does it really matter if he’s allowed to hold his laminated play sheet and wear that headset for the last two games? Players already don’t take him seriously, so what harm can it do?So how about that offense? Case Keenum is just not a starting quarterback. I really wanted him to work out, but I’ll be damned if Jeff Fisher wasn’t right. It’s evident from the plays that were being called for him that Bill Musgrave didn’t trust him and after the Browns game, we see why. Outside of Philip Lindsay and the receivers, there is a great deal of work that’s going to have to go into making this offense an NFL calibur unit. They aren’t even close. It’s depressing to write about how our once great defense has fallen into disrepair. Remember when people were touting Joe Woods as a gifted disciple of Wade Phillips? Clearly that was a lie that I’ll readily admit I fell for. The first step to restoring the defensive roster is to retool the depleted defensive secondary.Safety Darian Stewart and Brandon Marshall’s options for 2019 will likely not be exercised, so those holes will need keen attention in the months ahead. For as excited as I get from year to year about the draft and free agency, I am disappointed and angry that it’s already time to shift into those gears with two games left to play. With nothing to play for going forward, let’s just hope that everyone makes it out of this season healthy... especially the fans. This Skeleton Summoner is a complex construct that relies on a cheap special called The Baron along with two unique gems called Dead Reckoning to muster to nine skeletal mages that will subsequently slaughter enemies for you. That is an intimidating barrier for new Path of Exile players, but this construct poe currency is also flexible enough which you are able to get by with melee skeletons and even zombies while you degree and scrounge up the essential money.

The move to sign Shepard before his rookie contract expires is a rarity for the Giants, who seldom extend players early, and have routinely let second round picks leave via free agency. Shepard will be the Giants new number one receiver following the trade of Odell Beckham Jr. and their move to lock him up before he is able to play in that role — and then hit free agency — could be seen as a vote of confidence for the young receiver. EAST RUTHERFORD Dexter Lawrence NFL Draft , N.J. (AP) — New York Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher had no intention of designing two game plans, even though Chicago Bears starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has a shoulder injury.Bettcher is getting the Giants (3-8) ready to face the Bears’ offense, and it doesn’t matter whether Trubisky is back at the helm Sunday at MetLife Stadium or veteran backup Chase Daniel is running the show again for Chicago (8-3).Trubisky practiced on a limited basis all week and he was listed as doubtful on Friday, which means Daniel will probably start. It’s not terrible news for the NFC North-leading Bears. They extended their winning streak to five games on Thanksgiving with Daniel leading them to a 23-16 win over the Lions in his first start since 2014.“They are both good quarterbacks,” Giants linebacker and defensive captain Alex Ogletree said. “They haven’t changed much of their offense for either one. They play a little different game, but for the most part, they do the same stuff. We are preparing for either one. You never know who is going to play. So if Chase Daniel plays, we will be ready for him, and if Trubisky plays, we will be prepared as well.”Bettcher said his approach every week is to see what the defense needs to do to give the team its best chance. It includes having some tweaks built in for the opposing quarterbacks.“You certainly have some things that you like versus each of those two quarterbacks,” Bettcher said.Offensive coordinators do the same thing when the status of their starting quarterback is uncertain. They make separate sheets outlining the plays and throws each quarterback likes Color Rush Deandre Baker Jersey , although the game plan is relatively the same.If Daniel gets the call again, he will have had a week practicing with the offense. He did not get that coming off a short week of preparation for the Lions and still completed 27 of 37 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns.“Listen, it’s never changed for me and I told you this last week and I’ll tell you it again: I prepare every day like I’m the starter whether I get practice reps or not,” Daniel said. “This week, I got the reps and we’ll see what it is (Thursday) and we’ll see what it is on Friday. My whole thing is we just try to take it day by day. I try to grasp the game plan day by day.”Bears coach Matt Nagy said the team would do what is best for Trubisky. If he plays, it will be because he is ready to go.Five things to watch Sunday:MR. MACKKhalil Mack leads the Bears with eight sacks. The Giants have given up 38, tied for second worst in the league. Left tackle Nate Solder will draw the primary assignment on Mack, but the linebacker also switches sides so he also will go up against right tackle Chad Wheeler. Expect the Giants to help both players with a back or tight end helping on Mack.SAFETY SCORINGBears safety Eddie Jackson is on a scoring tear. He returned interceptions for key touchdowns the past two games against Minnesota and Detroit, earning him NFC defensive player of the week honors. Throw in a fumble recovery that he ran back to the end zone against Buffalo on Nov. 4, and he has three TDs in the past four games. That gave him an NFL-leading five defensive touchdowns since the Bears drafted him in the fourth round in 2017.“I’ve never seen anything like him,” defensive end Akiem Hicks said. “He can cover the entire field it seems like sometimes. He knows how to get the ball in his hands and when he gets that ball in his hands he can make his way to the end zone.”SCOPING VERNONAfter missing the first five games with an ankle injury Youth Deandre Baker Jersey , Giants linebacker/defensive end has recorded one sack in six games. His other statistics aren’t good, either. He has 10 tackles and six quarterback hits. Earning $17 million this season, Vernon was expected to be a dominant pass rusher in the new 3-4 system installed by Bettcher.GROUND GAINSNagy has expressed a desire to get Chicago’s ground game going. Maybe this is the week it happens. After all, the Bears will be facing a defense ranked 26th against the run. The Bears have rushed for 64 yards or less in three of the past four games — 38 last week.BRILLIANT BARKLEYThe Bears have the NFL’s second-best run defense, allowing an average of 80.8 yards. They just haven’t faced a halfback like Giants rookie Saquon Barkley.Playing behind a struggling line, the second pick overall has run for 829 yards. He has run for at least 100 yards the last two games. Add in his 71 catches for 581 yards and he has 1,410 yards from scrimmage, No. 3 in the league. His 12 touchdowns (eight rushing, four receiving) are one shy of franchise rookie record and two short of the team’s single-season mark.

With all the fun we’ve been having with this Chicago Bears season Mitchell Trubisky Color Rush Jersey , you may not have followed the 49ers year much - particularly after Jimmy G took an early exit with a torn ACL. The 49ers were preseason darlings for a lot of pundits making their preseason predictions and, despite a roster still full of holes, many had them competing with the Rams for the division title. To help us sort through all the issues and some of the bright spots of this 49ers squad, I reached out to David Fucillo of Niners Nation. He was kind enough to provide great answers to fill in the blanks. Windy City Gridiron: 1. It has been a bit of a lost season for the 49ers with the Jimmy Garoppolo injury, but this squad has found some pluck the last two weeks, beating the Broncos and Seahawks at home. What has been the winning recipe in the last two games? Is this a good thing for the future or are fans upset about losing draft position?Niners Nation: It’s been a rather odd run here. The 49ers went 1-3 in arguably their easiest stretch of the season (@ AZ, vs. OAK, vs. NYG, @ TB), but have since gone 2-1 entering their toughest stretch of the season. Sometimes the NFL is tough to figure out!The 49ers have found success for a couple reasons. The first is the defense has stepped up in a big way after inconsistency much of the first 12 weeks. They shut down the Broncos vaunted run game, and then contained Russell Wilson in the fourth quarter, when he is at his most dangerous. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner has been the leader on defense, but where it has been interesting is the fact that the team is rolling out a host of rookies due to injuries. They have rookies starting at nickel back and strong safety, and then a second-year nose tackle. The unit is growing together and showing real signs of progress. On offense, quarterback Nick Mullens is impressing. He had a record-setting debut against the Raiders, but seemed to regress the next two weeks against the Giants and Bucs. However, he has bounced back with solid performances against a really good Broncos defense and a solid Seahawks defense. Mullens doesn’t have a big arm, but Kyle Shanahan is proving his play-calling prowess to get guys open for Mullens.Plenty of 49ers fans would prefer the team lose and draft edge rusher Nick Bosa with the #1 overall pick. However, that seems unlikely now. It increases the degree of difficulty for the 49ers to find much-needed pass rush help. At the same time, snapping a ten-game losing streak to a rival and doing it in relatively impressive fashion gives the team momentum heading into the offseason. If they could split their final two against the Bears and Rams, it would certainly give the organization all sorts of confidence. That being said, yes, some people are upset about losing draft position.WCG: 2. Former Iowa Hawkeye George Kittle has emerged as a top tier tight end this year, something that is even more surprising given the mix of QB’s under center. What has he done to step up his game to put himself into the elite conversation and have you opposing defenses focused their scheme on trying to stop the dynamic second-year pass catcher?NN: Kittle flew under the radar coming out of college because he played in a run-heavy offense and dealt with various injuries during his career. However, the athleticism was always there. He ran a 4.52 40 in the 2019 NFL Combine, finishing third to Evan Engram and O.J. Howard in that measurement. He ran that with a 6’4, 247 pound frame, which is kinda ridiculous. He’s incredibly physical and brings separation skills in abundance. He can bowl over safeties and cornerbacks, while linebackers cannot really keep up with him down the field. We’ve started to see teams doubling him up more. Two weeks ago against Denver, Kittle had 210 receiving yards in the first half, but was shut out in the second half. The key for the 49ers has been the emergence of rookie wide receiver Dante Pettis as a viable alternative. Veteran receiver Pierre Gar莽on has been placed on injured reserve Pat O'Donnell Jersey , while Marquise Goodwin missed time dealing with family issues and is slowly being worked back into the mix. After a slow start, the past four games has seen Pettis catch 17 receptions for 338 yards and four touchdowns. He is emerging as a serious threat that might force Chicago to play Kittle a little more straight up.WCG: 3. The 49ers defense has been up and down this year, highlighted by DeForest Buckner’s double digit sack season. However, the 49ers have a league low 2 interceptions and only 5 takeaways total, far behind the 31st ranked Ravens (11). What’s going on with this defense? NN: The takeaways have been a problem. Jim Harbaugh once compared takeaways to a jar of olives, where once you get the first one out, they tumble out. The 49ers have not been able to shake open the olive jar sufficiently. It’s interesting to note the team ranks 12th in fumbles forced, but dead last in fumbles recovered. Turnover luck is a very real thing, and we’re just not seeing it right now. I suspect it reverts closer to the mean next year and we see the team finish with more takeaways. At the same time, if the 49ers can add a legitimate pass rush threat, if not a couple, that will help this defense force more turnovers. The pass rush has been inconsistent this season, and if they can add either a Josh Allen in the draft or a Dee Ford in free agency, it will gain some steam. That will make life easier for the secondary, which could result in more bad plays by opposing quarterbacks.WCG: 4. The 2017 draft brought our two respective franchises together in a draft day trade that drew rave reviews for John Lynch by “fleecing” Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears. (Full disclosure - I was one of those detractors who was upset about the process behind trading up one spot.) Now that we’re 18 months past that trade and have a lot more data about team building, how do 49ers fans feel about John Lynch and the future direction of the 49ers franchise? What needs to happen next off-season for 2019 to be more competitive?NN: There has been plenty of discussion among 49ers fans about just what to make of that trade. They were never going to take a quarterback, so it was a win in the sense of getting more picks while getting the guy they wanted. That view of the trade is pretty straight forward. Where it gets a little murkier is the results. The 49ers drafted Solomon Thomas with the third overall pick, and things get murkier from there. They traded the Bears third round pick to the Saints, who turned that into Alvin Kamara. Whoops. That deal landed them starting safety Adrian Colbert (now on injured reserve). They turned the Bears 2018 third round pick into linebacker Fred Warner, who is the team’s starting MIKE and a standout performer. All well and good, but it comes back to Solomon Thomas. He has struggled to get going, in part because the team had not played him at his position of strength inside. That seems to be changing, and he is showing some signs of life in the latter half of this season. The fanbase is more confident than not, but people are still waiting for the big breakthrough. It seemed like this would be the year the team got back into at least the edge of playoff contention. Instead, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jerick McKinnon blew out their knees, and fans were left waiting for 2019. Pressure is off the GM/HC duo for the time-being, but assuming there are no hiccups in Jimmy G’s recover, the pressure will be on in 2019. They’ll have a high draft pick and a ton of cap space. They need at least one, if not two edge rushers to boost the pass rush. They could potentially use another pass catcher, either a complementary tight end or another wide receiver. They will likely need at least one guard as well. The 49ers will be more competitive just by getting Garoppolo and McKinnon back. With the development of the rest of the roster this season, this is a team that can compete for a wild card berth next year. If they can land a big-time pass rusher and one more notable pass catcher https://www.thebearsfanshop.com/Kyle-Long-Jersey , they could move from wild card contender to surprise division contender. They need to hit big on what will likely be a top five draft pick, finding a player who can impact the defense from day one. They don’t need to go overboard in free agency, but a receiver and a guard, with some secondary depth through the draft or free agency are critical.WCG: 5. I think it’s safe to say that 49ers fans have no real interest in seeing the division rival Rams do well in the playoffs. So, can we make a deal that you guys lose to the Bears but knock off the Rams in week 17, allowing the Bears to sneak into the #2 seed? Also, could you send Robbie Gould back to us? Thanks!NN: We’ll see what we can arrange! This is an intriguing game. The line opened with the Bears as five-point favorites, but the line quickly dropped to 3.5 points. It has settled in at four points, and probably won’t change much between now and kickoff. My first thought is that either the 49ers win this game outright, or the Bears win by double digits. I just don’t see this game falling in between that. Chicago does not seem to be nearly as good on the road as at home, but that defense is incredibly fearsome. I’m really looking forward to this game as another big test for Nick Mullens. If he puts up another respectable performance, his trade value could be something to watch in the offseason. And no, you don’t get Robbie Gould back. First up, those of us that picked the Bears new running back.“David Montgomery is my favorite rookie by far. Not only will he end any conversation about having a backfield by committee, he’ll develop into one of the better backs in the league over time. He’s a complete 3-down player who’s a perfect fit and the final piece for Matt Nagy’s offense.” ~ Erik Christopher Duerrwaechter“My favorite new rookie is absolutely David Montgomery. Not only was running back a big need heading into the draft, they were able to take one of the four running backs I had graded in my first tier. Yes, it did cost them in a trade up, but I think many will be glad they landed a top option in a weaker running back class.” ~ Aaron Leming“In my opinion there’s not a lot of other choices (Montgomery’s the only one likely to play much in 2019), but I love his fit for our offense and think he’ll help take it to a new level. Hard runner, great in space, sound pass blocker, hard-working receiver, good at picking his way through crowds up the middle. Check Tom Waddle Color Rush Jersey , check, check, check, and check.” ~ Robert SchmitzLester and Jacob break down Bears third-round draft pick, Iowa State running back, David Montgomery “After not knowing much about the fit that Montgomery was to the Bears offense (I watched almost none of him because I assumed he’d be long gone) he’s now definitely my favorite pick of this class. I’m not a fan of trading up for a running back, but I get why Pace, once again, aggressively went up for his guy. Montgomery has exactly the type of lead-back skills this offense needs. He’s a powerful runner, but he has a wiggle to his game that Jordan Howard doesn’t have. Neither he nor Howard is speed demon, but Montgomery will be able to get what the defense gives him quicker than Howard did. Part of what makes him a better receiver than Howard is his ability to get back up to top speed faster than Howard could. Howard would catch a pass, but by the time he got himself back going, the defense converged. Montgomery will catch it and go with a suddenness. At Iowa State he was also a good pass blocker, which is something the Bears need as well.” ~ Lester A. Wiltfong Jr.Montgomery received a passing mention by these next two, but they ultimately went with the Bears new wide out. “I’m a really big fan of David Montgomery’s fit in the Bears’ offense, but I’m also really high on Riley Ridley as a long-term weapon for Mitchell Trubisky. One of the best route runners in this year’s draft, he can change direction on a dime and runs routes with impressive body control. From a value standpoint, he was an incredible pick in the fourth round.” ~ Jacob Infante“Montgomery is obviously the headliner here, but I’ll go in another direction. In my football watching life, I’ve come up with a couple personal preferences when looking at prospects. First, I think that throwing accuracy is the most important trait with quarterbacks, and second, I think that route-running is more important than pure speed. I think that in looking at prospects at those two positions, they are more likely to succeed than a comparable player without those traits and, for instance, better arm strength or a faster forty time. It’s for that reason, I am excited about Riley Ridley. I think a savvy route runner will fit into what Matt Nagy wants more than the top-end speed of a Taylor Gabriel or Kevin White.” ~ Sam HouseholderAnd now for a couple unexpected picks.“My favorite new rookie is honestly John Baron II. I don’t even know if he’s going to make the team, but he seems like a fun guy, and I love how much attention they are throwing at the kicker position.” ~ Josh Sunderbruch“My favorite rookie in the class is Kerrith Whyte, Jr. Whyte is a guy who fits immediately on special teams as a returner (I don’t want to see Tarik Cohen out there as our main punt returner any more because of injury concerns) and as that true game breaking speed back that we need. He’s the kind of tool Matt Nagy needs in the toolbox to make the Bears offense truly one to be feared. ~ Ken MitchellNow it’s your turn. Who is your favorite Bears’ rookie?
