he Colorado Rockies punched their play

David Banks/Getty ImagesToff ticket for the second consecutive season with a 5-2 win over the Washington Nationals on Friday night.Elsewhere Asdrubal Cabrera Jersey , the New York Yankees clinched home field for the American League Wild Card Game versus the Oakland Athletics thanks to an 11-6 victory over the Boston Red Sox.Only two more regular-season days of baseball are on tap before the postseason begins. The American League playoff picture is set, but the National League may need Saturday and Sunday (and perhaps a Monday tiebreaker) to determine its teams and seeding. Here's a look at some 2018 World Series champion odds, perOddsShark, as well as an MLB playoff picture update after Friday's games.World Series OddsBoston Red Sox: 29-10Houston Astros: 33-10Chicago Cubs: 33-4Cleveland Indians: 9-1Los Angeles Dodgers: 48-5New York Yankees: 21-2Atlanta Braves: 11-1Colorado Rockies: 58-5Milwaukee Brewers: 29-2Oakland Athletics: 173-10St. Louis Cardinals: 155-2American League Playoff PictureThere is no drama in the American League race, as the seedings have already been decided. The Boston Red Sox (107-53) will be the Junior Circuit's No. 1 seed and have earned home-field advantage through the World Series should they get that far.Like last year, the defending champion Houston Astros (101-58) will be the No. 2 seed. They will have home-field advantage over the No. 3 Cleveland Indians (90-70) in the American League Division Series. The New York Yankees (99-61) are the AL's first wild-card team, having finished second to the Red Sox in the East. They will host the Oakland Athletics (96-64) in the AL Wild Card Game on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.The winner of that game will face the Red Sox in the ALDS. National LeaguePlayoff PictureThis is where things get a little interesting. We know four of the five playoff teams: the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves and the Rockies. What we don't know are the seedings (none have been decided) and the final playoff team (which will be either the Los Angeles Dodgers or St. Louis Cardinals). We do know that the 94-66 Cubs or 93-67 Brewers will be the No. 1 seed. Those two clubs are fighting for the NL Central crown, with the winner taking top honors and the loser being relegated to hosting the NL Wild Card Game on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.The Cubs will host the Cards on Saturday and Sunday http://www.metsfanproshop.com/authentic-tim-tebow-jersey , while the Brew Crew will be home against the Detroit Tigers. If the two teams tie in the standings, a one-game playoff at Wrigley Field will occur Monday to break the tie.The No. 2 seed is up for grabs and can be obtained by the Braves (90-70), Rockies (90-70) or Dodgers (89-71).We know the Braves can finish no lower than third by virtue of their NL East crown already. They will be in the NLDS against the NL West winner. However, the Braves are on the wrong end of tiebreakers against the Rockies and Dodgers, having lost the season series to each of them 5-2. Therefore, the only way Atlanta can get the No. 2 seed is if it finishes with a better record than the NL West winner. The Braves close their regular season with two road games against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Rockies have the one-game edge in the West with two home games left against the Nats. The Dodgers have two road matchups versus the San Francisco Giants, with ace Clayton Kershaw taking the mound Saturday.Colorado has the inside track on the NL West crown and No. 2 seed; it would get both with two victories. If Colorado and L.A. tie for the division, a one-game playoff will take place Monday in L.A. (the Dodgers get that honor by virtue of winning the season series12-7). The winner would face the Braves in the NLDS (seeding to be determined), while the loser would go to the NL Central winner for the Wild Card Game. The Cardinals' season is on the brink. They need two wins at the Cubs and two Dodgers losses at the Giants to force a one-game playoff to determine the second wild card. The good news for the Redbirds is that playoff would take place in St. Louis thanks to its 4-3 season-series win over L.A.However, it's a tall order Juan Lagares Jersey , especially with Kershaw on the mound Saturday. One more L.A. win or Cardinals loss ends St. Louis' season. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Royals don’t know why they’ve been able have success against Jake Odorizzi.Alex Gordon had a two-run double and Lucas Duda added an RBI single as the Royals jumped on Odorizzi in the first inning and beat the Minnesota Twins 4-1 Thursday night.Odorizzi has given up eight runs in two starts against Kansas City while allowing 15 runs in 13 starts against other teams.Article continues below ...“It’s hard to give you an explanation why,” Royals manager Ned Yost said. “We just swing the bats well off him.”Odorizzi (10-3) came in tied with Chicago White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito for the major league lead in wins, but lasted just four innings. He gave up four runs and eight hits with one walk and two strikeouts.“I think he had trouble getting comfortable in a couple of different ways,” Rays manager Rocco Baldelli said. “He usually pitches pretty well with his fastball … When he couldn’t go to that to get the swings and misses, and really set up the rest of the at-bat, it became an issue.“But he’s been so good for us and throwing the ball so well for so long, that you know that at some point there’s going to be a start or two like this along the way.”Glenn Sparkman (2-3) gave up just one run and five hits in a season high-tying seven innings, and Duda had two hits and scored a run to help the Royals win for the fourth time in five games.“I just stayed with the plan, to stay low in the zone and attack those guys Travis d'Arnaud Jersey ,” Sparkman said. “I felt pretty strong (after seven innings). As long as I’m pushing the team pretty far I’m happy.”Jake Diekman pitched a perfect eighth and Ian Kennedy got the last three outs for his ninth save in 11 opportunities.Jorge Polanco homered with one out in the first to put Minnesota ahead. However, the Royals came right back in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. Whit Merrifield doubled and advanced to third on Nicky Lopez’s single to left-center. Gordon then doubled to deep right-center to drive both runners in.“(Odorizzi) kinda has that sneaky fastball (and) likes to throw it up in the zone,” Gordon said. “He kinda blew it by me last game, so I just wanted to make sure I was on top of the fastball. … I was able to fight off a couple good pitches and finally got one that I was able to hit and put a good swing on it.”With one out, Cheslor Cuthbert grounded to Odorizzi, who threw to third to get Gordon, but Willians Astudillo’s errant throw to first allowed Cuthbert to advance to third.Cuthbert then scored on Duda’s single to right that ended his 0-for-20 slump. The Royals added another run in the fourth. Duda got his second single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Humberto Arteaga, who made his major league debut Thursday. Duda scored on a double by Martin Maldonado.Odorizzi credited the Royals with a good game plan.“They were aggressive,” he said. “Put the balls in play, kind of the same as the last game. The balls that were put on the ground were kind of in that good spot. They were hitting the ball back up the middle Noah Syndergaard Jersey , they weren’t trying to do too much with it. … They got on top of fastballs. They did what they needed to do.”TRAINER’S ROOMTwins C Mitch Garver started Thursday’s game but left after the seventh inning with left heel soreness. … OF Byron Buxton is traveling with the club, though he’s not eligible to return from the 10-day injured list until Tuesday. He went on the IL on Tuesday, retroactive to last Saturday, with a right wrist contusion.Royals 3B Hunter Dozier finished a three-day rehab in Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday. He’s been on the 10-day injured list since June 3 (retroactive to May 31) with a right oblique strain. He was expected to return to Kansas City on Thursday for the birth of his child. He’s expected to head to Triple-A Omaha to continue the rehab through the weekend. Yost did not have an update on Dozier’s status.ROSTER MOVESTwins recalled RHP Kohl Stewart from Triple-A Rochester and optioned RHP Sean Poppen to Rochester. The Twins played 17 innings against Boston on Tuesday. The Twins are near the end of a 13-day stretch without a day off. They’ll be off June 24 following this four-game series.Royals SS Adalberto Mondesi was placed on the 10-day IL with what Yost called a “very minor” right groin strain. Yost said it was more precautionary than anything. He was replaced on the roster by SS Arteaga from Triple-A Omaha. Arteaga, 25, is in his ninth season in the Royals’ system since being signed as a 16-year-old non-drafted free agent in 2010.UP NEXTLHP Martin Perez (7-3, 4.09 ERA) will get the start for Minnesota. He’ll face Royals RHP Jakob Junis (4-6, 5.33 ERA) in the second game of the four-game series.
