The guide for new player to play osrs

The new player guide is intended to help both new and returning players. The guide covers a wide range of topics including; skills, osrs money making, and some early-game content in Old School RuneScape.
New players will start on Tutorial Island with the player customisation interface open were they will be able to select their appearance, players shouldn't worry about permanent looks as these can be changed later in-game at Makeover shops. After closing this interface players will be led through a series of tutors that explain the basics of Old School RuneScape.
During Tutorial Island, players will speak to Paul who allows players to impose sets of restrictions on an account, this is known as Ironman mode. Ironmen voluntarily remove their own ability to trade and recieve help from other players, ultimate ironmen take this a step further and eliminate the use of banking. Hardcore ironmen have the same restrictions as regular ironmen, but only have a single life, when they die they revert to standard ironman status. Players can speak to Adam in lumbridge to revert to a standard player, or downgrade from ultimate/hardcore to regular ironman, this process has a 7 day delay.
Some players also choose to play with non-official restrictions. For example, some players limit their Defence and Attack level so their total Combat Level has more room for Strength - resulting in deadly PvP builds. Others become skill pures (also known as skillers), leaving all combat-related skills at 1.
New accounts have trade restrictions in place until the account's logged in time surpasses 18 hours or 7 or more Quest points are acquired. Such restrictions include a block from selling items on the old school runescape grand exchange. This restriction is in place to help prevent botted and black-market goods from entering the economy, as many of the accounts are caught and banned before they can be logged in for 18 hours in total.
