As the confetti fluttered from the rafters to the hardwood, and the broadcast cut to shots of “Jurassic Park” and the Raptors faithful celebrating their victory and all the promise it brought of a chance to compete for a championship on the world’s stage. And Torontonians Da'Shawn Hand Jersey White , in a very on-brand move, were on their best behavior after the Raptors win.All of this talk of winning and celebrating a new accomplishment got me thinking about that all-elusive moment Lions fans have been chasing—and today’s “Question of the Day.”The Lions just made the Super Bowl—what’s your next move?First, some context. It’s been 10,000+ days since the Lions won a playoff game, and that’s like 27.4 years. I’m 28 years old as of last Saturday, so I have no idea what it’s like to experience your professional football team win a truly meaningful football game in January. So yeah, this is truly some fantasy writing here. Suppose it depends on where I am, but on second thought, it really doesn’t matter in the slightest. If the Lions were to win the NFC Championship Game Womens Sylvester Williams Jersey , I’d put myself in a car, hop on I-75 southbound, and end up at a table at Sweetwater Tavern for a basket of wings.Your turn.(Also, Raptors in 6; protect Kawhi at all costs).Tweets from https://twitter.com/PrideOfDetroit/lists/lions-coverage The Lions’ free agent list is not exactly an appealing set of names."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Detroit Lions NewsDetroit Lions NotesDetroit Lions AnalysisDetroit Lions TransactionsDetroit Lions Game RecapsBreaking NewsIntroducing the 2019 Detroit Lions Draft Class! 脳NFL Open ThreadsDetroit Lions Free AgencyThursday open thread: Should the Detroit Lions re-sign anyone? New,34commentsThe Lions’ free agent list is not exactly an appealing set of names. ESTShareTweetShareShareThursday open thread: Should the Detroit Lions re-sign anyone? Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsTime is running low for the Detroit Lions and all 31 other teams in the NFL. Free agency is a mere two weeks away, and that means rosters are about to look a whole lot different. But before we even get there, each team has some serious decisions to face. We’ve already heard from a few other teams who have publicly said they won’t be renewing contracts (the Eagles with Nick Foles, for example), and some have already started to re-sign some players. The Detroit Lions Youth Austin Bryant Jersey , on the other hand, have remained pretty quiet. Though they released a few players a couple weeks ago, and re-signed a few guys in Don Muhlbach, Steve Longa and Mitchell Loewen, the bigger decisions facing this roster remain unsolved. So today’s Question of the Day is:Should the Detroit Lions re-sign any of their pending free agents? My answer: First, let’s take a look at a list of the players whose fate has yet to be determined:QB Matt Cassel RB LeGarrette BlountFB Nick BelloreRB Zach ZennerTE Luke WillsonTE Levine ToiloloWR TJ JonesOT Andrew DonnalDE Ezekiel AnsahDT Ricky Jean FrancoisDE Eli HaroldLB Kelvin SheppardCB Marcus CooperCB DeShawn SheadDE Romeo Okwara (RFA)DE Kerry Hyder (RFA)S Charles Washington (ERFA)That’s not exactly a list of players this team absolutely needs to succeed. That being said, Romeo Okwara and Zach Zenner appear to be the most appealing re-signs. Zenner is nice depth, and the team clearly likes him given that they brought him back from IR last year and basically chose him over Ameer Abdullah. Okwara wasn’t great and probably shouldn’t be a starter, but it’s clear he’s comfortable in this defensive scheme and can be productive as a rotational edge. Outside of that Womens Christian Jones Jersey , I could really see Detroit moving on from just about everyone else. Kellie made a solid case for keeping Ricky Jean Francois around next season, but he’s also far from necessary at age 32. Otherwise... well, I guess you need a backup quarterback to contend with Connor Cook, so it’s certainly possible Detroit brings back Matt Cassel. Overall, though, I think we should probably expect this team to make some pretty significant changes to the bottom third of this roster, and that includes moving on from a lot of these names.Your turn.Tweets from https://twitter.com/PrideOfDetroit/lists/lions-coverage « Police find no indications of foul play in death of Barry Snyder JrRocket League's Spike Rush is the perfect entrance for new players » Weitere Artikel der Kategorie Allgemein |
