Review: Path of Exile

A free-to-play ARPG (Diablo-like) seems like a terrible idea in POE Currency some recoverable format, mostly due towards the track record of microtransactions recently as well as the obvious exploitation potential of any loot-heavy genre. Enter Grinding Gear Games who, regardless of this set up, have beautifully married to two pieces together to develop a wonderful whole in Path of Exile.

The result can be a truly free-to-play unique romp by way of a carefully crafted a fascinating universe. But beware! True enjoyment will demand patience and dedication all who enter.

The beginning of Path of Exile will immediately make seasoned veterans from the ARPG genre feel in your own home. Picking a class, the clicky-click nature from the POE Items combat, the Tetris-style inventory management, the dark atmosphere, and also one from the early quests containing players killing every last monster in the sort of "den" filled up with monsters which you may call...evil. It's a clear homage to your all-time classic, Diablo II, but an homage is all it can be. Path of Exile can be quite much a unique game, which becomes apparent initially players encounter the passive skill tree.
