Pritchard himself is coming off a stretch in the Pac

A year ago on Selection Sunday, Payton Pritchard was part of an Oregon Ducks team that watched every move of the process while many watched them.

What Pritchard woke up to on Monday was a date in the National Invitation Tournament with Rider a day away. On Monday the Ducks held their first and only practice before Tuesday s 7 p.m. tip. A couple players Keith Smith and Paul White were too banged up to practice, but when asked about what motivation the Ducks have to make a run through the NIT, Pritchard said it was pretty simple.

I guess it ll test whether you really love basketball or not, he said. Personally, I just wanted to play games. We re not in the tournament we wanted to play in, but in the end, we get to play basketball and enjoy it.

Altman said he doesn t have a ton of time to scout the Broncs, but so far has seen a team that will push the pace in Eugene.
