Runescape dev announces new sci-fi MMORPG

Who was there: Mark Gerhard may be the chief executive officer of free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing developer Jagex, located in Cambridge, UK. The developer has enjoyed amazing success with Runescape, which sports ths Guinness World Record for that biggest free-to-play MMORPG. The company is also entering into mobile games.
Runescape will soon possess a sci-fi sibling.
What he was quoted saying: Gerhard's Develop session was accompanied from the announcement with the company's latest game. Stellar Dawn is going to be a sci-fi MMORPG, due for release this season, and is going to be the studio's biggest game thus far, in line with Gerhard. The title currently is entering one more stages of development, as well as a closed beta will likely be made available before release.
Gerhard's lecture, though, was devoted to explaining the business's road to success. He recounted approaching big publishers to determine if they'd be curious about Jagex's free-to-play business structure. "We attended EA and said we have amazing free games, plus they said, 'f*** off,'" he explained. "We went back and said we have got a million players plus they said 'bulls***'", he continued. "The necessity turned us in a publisher," he was quoted saying, explaining his decision to self-publish for that reason. Links:https://www.mmoah.com/runescape
