4th and Short Podcast: Previewing the ‘important’ third preseason game

Brian Authentic Ian Thomas Jersey , Brad, and Jon are joined by Brian’s friend Spenser to talk about the Panthers preseason tilt against the Patriots. You may know Spenser from last year’s Panthers vs. Patriots preview, as he joined us to correctly tell us that we were dumb for thinking the Panthers weren’t going to beat the Patriots in Foxboro. There are no game predictions this time, but we did talk about which Patriots players are worth watching and how this Patriots team is different from those of years past. Of course that’s interspersed with talk about what’s expected of the Panthers with their patchwork offensive line and young defensive backfield. Munnerlyn has spent six years of his career in Carolina, after a brief stay in Minnesota from 2014-2016. Munnerlyn is currently the Panthers franchise leader in interceptions returned for a touchdown, with five. He is also tied for first in franchise history for most interceptions returned for a touchdown in a single season, with two (2012 Authentic Christian McCaffrey Jersey , 2013). His 7.5 sacks also ranks second in franchise history for most by a defensive back.Now, Munnerlyn enters his 10th year in the league competing for a starting spot in the Panthers secondary. After general manager Marty Hurney used two draft picks on Donte Jackson and Rashaan Gaulden in the 2018 draft to add some youth to the secondary, there are fewer spots up for grabs that Munnerlyn can take.
