The San Jose Sharks made it a priority to get faster following a loss in the Stanley Cup Final to Pittsburgh two years ago.
The Sharks looked awfully slow and lost at times in the 7-0 rout at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights in their second-round series opener.

In a video announcing the suspension, the NHL department of player safety said Kane’s cross-check ”was not a hockey play” and served no purpose other than to strike an opponent in the head.
”I’m not a dirty player. It was just a forecheck that went into a scrum,” Kane said afterward. ”I just cross-checked him in the arm and unfortunately that rolled up when he extended his arm. There was no intent and I’m glad he wasn’t hurt on the play.”

Jimmy Smith was absent during the Ravens’ game against the Colts on Monday night, with coach John Harbaugh saying afterward that Smith was tending to a “personal issue.”
By then Marvin Jones Jr Jersey , word already had leaked that Smith was meeting with league officials in his appeal of a multi-game suspension.
The NFL confirmed Tuesday that it has suspended Smith for four games for violation of the league’s personal conduct policy. He is eligible to return to the team October 1, a day after the Ravens’ game against the Steelers.
Smith can continue participating in the team’s preseason activities, including playing in the remaining two preseason games.
The NFL was monitoring a child custody case between Smith and the mother of his first child last year, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. The Baltimore Sun reported in November that Micaela Sanchez accused Smith of domestic violence and illegal drug use in a petition filed in the Baltimore County Court.
