After losing Wade to an elbow injury for the rest of the season and trading away Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott, many thought it would be best if the Bulls missed the playoffs and hit the lottery this year in an impressive draft. But they may just accidentally find themselves in the playoffs and likely experience an early-round exit. The Bulls remaining schedule includes the Pelicans, Knicks, Sixers, the Magic, and the Nets twice. Meanwhile, the Pacers still have to play the Cavaliers, Raptors, Bucks, and Hawks. While the Pacers need to make the playoffs in hopes of keeping Paul George, the Bulls could afford to miss them. But that may not be what happens in the end.
Winner: Blake Griffin scores 36 against the LakersGriffin finished the night with 36 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Blake also had a career-high by hitting four three-pointers in the game. The Clippers have now won three in a row
Loser: Blown alley-oop for Dwight HowardYou could say the Bulls won their game tonight against the Hawks thanks to Dwight Howard missing this dunk late in the game. Sure, no one play determines an entire game, but this sure didn’t help.
