EA cancels remaining Madden Classic qualifiers in wake of Jacksonville shooting

EA has cancelled these remaining Madden Classic qualifier events in wake on the recent Jacksonville mass shooting because the company reevaluates safety protocols around its live events.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson made the announcement in MUT 19 Coins the statement released earlier tonight on EA’s website.
“While these qualifying events are operated independently by partners, we assist them to ensure competitive integrity and gather feedback from players,” Wilson wrote. “We have elected a decision to cancel our three remaining Madden Classic qualifier events each of us run a comprehensive article on Madden NFL 19 Coins safety protocols for competitors and spectators. We will work together with our partners and our internal teams to determine a consistent volume of security in any respect of our competitive gaming events.”
