Epic wants the Fortnite endgame being more than "just build lol" |
The Fortnite endgame has turned into a tad one-note. Anyone who's to the world's most in-demand game know that late game strategy - most likely - amounts to a building face-off with shotguns and rocket launchers.
Well, it sounds like developer Epic knows it, too - and wants Fortnite's endgame being about more.
In a post about the Fortnite website titled Counterplay and Play Styles, Epic said hello plans to make changes on the battle royale game to present players multiple approaches to counter the other in combat and make Fortnite Items more approaches to win the experience.
"It's imperative that you support various late game strategies, that will not boil as a result of 'just build lol'," Epic said.
"We strongly assume that the evolution of Fortnite supports a variety of play styles and counterplay. Currently, the superiority of shotguns, rockets and uncapped building are a real dominant play-style from the final circle that a majority of other strategies are drowned out."
So, what's to get done? Epic stated it's exploring changes to weapon balance (I suspect a shotgun nerf of some sort or other) and Buy Fortnite Skins resource economy, for instance adding resource caps.
"You can find Victory Royales through multiple strategies," Epic added.

"Shotguns ought to be strong, but other weapons have room to develop. Not every encounter really should have to end within a build-off. We want to empower you to definitely showcase your skill, strategy, and tactics in all of the variety of ways."
