EA-branded 'sporting goods' en route

When EA Sports president Peter Moore announced EA Sports Active this past year, he explained the Wii fitness game will be compatible with a number of real-world accessories. This week, the planet's second-largest third-party publisher announced a great deal to release "a unique new brand of sports equipment that could bring the thrilling excitment of video gaming simulation outside to the FUT 19 Coins of play."

The agreement with manufacturer Toy Island Partners will see a new distinct EA Sports-branded toys aimed towards children launch this fall. The toys make use of such high-tech special features as infrared, motion, and balance sensors that can help youths hone their technique, speed, and power in five sports: baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, and football. EA Sports currently develops and publishes games associated with four of such pastimes, such as NBA Live, FIFA, NHL, and Madden NFL franchises.

So far, four unnamed EA Sports toy types are actually revealed. The first will be several "interactive training tools," that could act as virtual coaches and can even issue and receive voice commands. Another line offer encouragement through providing cheers when players use good form, however another will feature a few Nerf-like high-density foam balls to educate younger children basic motor skills. Lastly, EA and Toy Island can provide all-in-one starter kits, that can feature all of the equipment youths will have to Buy FIFA 19 Coins and start practicing a sport.

"Our goal is usually to take the EA Sports brand deeper in to the fabric of sports, and into new markets which allow more individuals to unleash their inner spirit of sports and competition," said Moore in the statement.
