Composer Olivier Derivière Pioneers Real Time Generated Interactive Music for GET EVEN

Olivier Derivière is undoubtedly an IFMCA award-winning composer, hailed by MTV as “Game music’s eclectic daredevil” and noted for his work towards ‘Remember Me’ and ‘Assassin’s Creed IV Freedom Cry’. For more than a decade he's got been scoring music for animation, films and games. Derivière is widely regarded for both his composition and innovative procedure for connecting his music for the player’s game experience.

In his latest work towards psychological thriller, Get Even, (created by The Farm 51 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe) Derivière is again challenging the industry’s conventions and enhancing player immersion through music.

To fully submerse players into Get Even’s atmospheric, multi-dimensional story Derivière made a visceral and emotional musical score infused with sound sourced through the game’s environment which reacts, in real-time, to your player’s actions.

“Through using real-time MIDI, live musicians recorded in ambisonics, as well as other audio tricks, the gaming environment itself is now an orchestra waiting to get conducted, and all things in it is a potential instrument” says Derivière.
